I hope that when Elder Scrolls 6 is released, it’ll feature a character called Nate the Epic who sits in taverns drinking mead and telling you random facts about Tamriel
speaking of unique facial features, the altmer bloke in markarth has a unique mouth. so unique, it can't be recreated in character creation. not without mods anyway.
I've been looking for you. Got something I'm supposed to deliver - your hands only. Let's see here... There's a new museum opening up in Dawnstar. The owner is asking me to hand out invitations to travelers. Looks like that's it. Got to go.
After this video giving me idea of how interesting their lore are, I feel I was right to let the skull of corruptions begone and relieve the citizen of dawnstar from the nightmare. I killed that Mystic dawn guy though for the mehzune razor. Jenassa is in love with that razor.
The fact that the idea of ending Seren's life and possibly her unborn child, made me think of what happened on one of my save files, of course the death of her and her unborn child wasn't my fault, a dragon just flew over Dawnstar and somehow Seren got caught up in trying to fight it but failed and got killed, so, that made me a bit sad for her husband. Although he didn't seem to notice that she was lying there dead on the ground.
I only play skyrim but I remember the story about the girl with the army running away from the warchiefs, across the lake with falmer armor or something. There must be some other book
Ah yes, the fantastic Bard, Nate, has once again graced upon more tales of the land of Nirn! As a travel weary adventurer I will take a seat by the fire with my favorite Nord mead.
The game devs clearly overlooked dawnstar athletic wise. It’s described to be a prosperous trading port with access to natural resources yet it looks like a costal town with a small harbor with no walls or old stone structures despite it being one of skyrims oldest holds. Download the mod great city of Dawnstar it attempts to do the town justice
I go to Dawnstar immediately after getting to Whiterun stable, one for the closest Dwemmer ruins full of soul gems at low level guardians and falmer, and secondly for the amount of snowberries 😋
In a past video you commented on a dead wolf on a book about dancing i believe it was up on a cliff and you didnt know the reference but i believe it to be a reference to dances with wolves a kevin Costner western movie. If you haven't seen it i highly recommend it
Does a hit on Betild still get ordered if Leigelf is killed before the quest triggers ?? That's a good way to confirm it's actually him who orders it, and that Bethesda took that foresight to program
Ehh... little quibble. Tiber Septim didn’t conquer the entirety of the known world. He only conquered the continent of Tamriel. He didn’t conquer Atmora (which is fair enough, the whole things a frozen wasteland), he didn’t even attempt Akavir (again, fair. Seeing as the last time Tamriel tried its ass was handed to it on a silver plater), and he didn’t take what was left of Yokuda- the bit that’s not under the sea. Now that I think about it, I’m pretty sure that neither Pyandonea nor Thras were conquered, so technically he didn’t even conquer all of Tamriel either... just the important bits.
Yeah on my characters playthrough that pregnant blacksmith chick got snatched by a frost dragon and flung out far away from dawnstar. After a very long time playing my character i had encountered her dead body on one of my travels. And her black smith husband just went about his business like nothing happened.
So Nate what do you think about the next Skyrim Release? This time as it's an Addon for TES Online. I know it's something different, but the first time I heard of it I had to laugh a bit. My thoughts were like: "Todd Howard you madlad! You did it. You found an new way to release Skyrim, again!"
its 2020 9 years after release and there are still videos about the game, about stuff you does not know... Its insane... i wonder if Witcher 3 got as many secrets as skyrim got :D
Silas is latin for snubnose or small nose? The latin version of Silas is Sylvanus, which means forest or wood, but don't let that get in the way of a good story.
..because silly cheating cat never had one good patch installed. Also I should notice, that this khajiit probably has some skooma stashed under waterfall next to Anga's Mill.
CC Lewis well one dock is really all they need and obviously the lore is going to be different from what is actually featured in the game for the sake of stuff like time management and making sure the game doesn't have to much stuff on screen at once
Mr. Al Stay on PC? I find it odd you say that as both consoles have sold more copies than the PC (each console on their own of course) and besides, they could have added more on PC if they wanted too. And let’s not forget, very many PC’s run Skyrim moderately at best, and having Skyrim be even bigger to the point consoles couldn’t handle it would also mean very man PC’s wouldn’t be either. You are defiantly the type of person to complain that if the kid whose parents make very little income gets free food at lunch, so should you Lmao.
Actually Seren's pregnancy is easier to learn about than you thought Nate, if you ask if he is in charge of the forge he will tell you that he works with his wife who is with child and that she is concerned the baby won't learn about redguard culture in Skyrim before asking you to bring him a copy of Night Falls on Sentinel if you find one.
I did that! Was really confused by the last fact because of it. You get a really sweet dialogue from them and they always greet you when you pass their house/forge afterwards. Also counts as helping a citizen of dawnstar, perhaps even two because I was able to turn in the 3/3 to the jarl immediately after getting the task from him.
Tip for a (very) tiny detail: When you complete that random encounter with Cicero and his broken wagon, it counts as a Dark Brotherhood Quest in the stats page, which would be a bit confusing If you are playing for the first time and have no idea that he is even part of the DB.
Huh thats neat, i doubt it ever spoiled anyone (i dont know anybody who checks their stats page that early in the game) but its an interesting little technical thing
Adam 05 that’s all I ever do all day everyday at all times everytime of the day WE DONT NEED TO HAVE WATER OR FOOD OR FRIENDS OR FACETIME SOCIAL LIFE(cause of coronavirus)KNOWONE NEEDS THAT SO OTHER STUFF just Skyrim Skyrim Skyrim 24/7
Not going to lie, Seren is probably one of my favorite town NPCs just because we get to know so much about her (for NPC stardards) and it's clear that she and husband seem very happy together. It's hard to see that dynamic in Skyrim because most NPCs are so flat or not expanded on enough to be relatable. Whenever the umpteenth million dragon spawns in Dawnstar, I always check to be sure those two are still around.
Her husband is my favorite blacksmith always smiling an just a joy to be around in such a depressing place, she died in one of my playthroughs from a vampire attack.. Watching how depressed he became afterwards made me avoid dawnstar altogether.
I love characters like her lol They aren't big heroes or villains with a part in the grand plot of the game, but simple people like you and me. It makes the world feel more alive
@@thedoomslayer5863 Seren is the dragon born?? That joke aside, I was referring to seren in this case. Who is just a pregnant lady with wishes of moving to her home country.
When I found out a character was actually pregnant in Dawnstar I was actually really happy and whenever I visited I would try to remember her and make sure no random encounter showed up to hurt her. ^_^
An interesting thing I've noted about Seren and Rustleif is their names. Seren means "star" in Welsh and her husband is from DawnSTAR. Rustleif's name roughly translates to "red descendant", and his wife is a REDguard woman. Also, the dawn can be red, meaning their names may be a combination meant to represent Dawnstar itself.
I love watching these videos because Skyrim was there for me in my childhood through my good and bad time’s. I’m 20 now and I love being able to pull out my phone and see you posted these videos, i greatly appreciate what you do for us. Keep up the good work!
Another fun fact for y'all. Ever notice how the Dremora refer to their lord as Dagon even though he's officially known as Mehrunes Dagon? There's a reason for it. Not too sure on the sources, but Mehrunes Dagon was once referred to as Dagon the Leaper Demon, as he was capable of jumping in and out of time-space, escaping the Kalpic Cycles whenever he pleased. The Kalpic Cycles are basically the beginning and end of all things within the universe, but the notion suggests a place *outside* those parameters that the cycle doesn't affect. Apparently it was Alduin's job to put stuff in his mouth and escape the cycle so when time began anew, what he ate would be regurgitated back (twists the whole "defeat the world-eater" on its head, eh?). IIRC, he's older than Akatosh even though he's the Time God's son. There's a lot of lore in this concept and how the stability of Nirn plays a big part in all that, but I digress. Anyway, because Dagon had this ability, the other Daedra were kind of annoyed by it, so Meridia made Mehrunes the Razor and gave it to Dagon, effectively changing his nature and binding him to the current Kalpic Cycle, hence the new namesake. Dagon, however, doesn't like the change, so his Dremora lackeys continue to call him Dagon to spite it.
Except it's very hard to tell because they live in separate houses, own competing mines, talk sh*t about each other, and also (not 100% sure) but pretty sure he's the one who made a contract for her death during the radiant quests in the Dark Brotherhood
