lol i had no idea Hadvar would have dialogues about the 3 standing stones. I normally just clear the nearby bandit camp, go up the hill to the left to get some random enchanted gear from the dead thalmor, and then head down to the standing stones.
If your ok with glitches then go to any in or place where you can buy cooked food buy any cooked beef you can quicksave hit them until they agro quickload open the inventory and buy more if I doesn't work try it again it normally takes 2 or 3 trys to get it going but works fine after that it also resets there money if your selling a tonne of expensive junk

Could you try Skyrim but I can't leave water where you have a timer 3 or 5 minutes maybe where whenever you leave water if you don't get back in some or touch some before the timer runs out you restart from where you last touched water or the whole challenge perhaps hope you get the jist of what I'm saying
