Play through the Skyrim Civil War questline as a Stormcloak while being in a love triangle between Ulfric and Kaidan!
It’s incredible what Kaidan’s team has accomplished here. It has been a long time since I have played the civil war questline and even longer still since I’ve sided with the Stormcloaks. The spice added by Kaidan Immersive features really adds to the story and I feel like it should have been there all along. I mean it makes sense that Ulfric would be interested in the Dragonborn as a potential spouse even if it is only to further his power and influence. Having the DB (dragonborn) as Queen would do a lot to solidify his reputation and demand respect not only from the other Jarls but perhaps the other provinces. I’m still not a fan of Ulfric’s rhetoric, but IF really humanized him for me and made me not actively hate him haha!
And the way he calls you little dovah...gods have mercy. I’m weak.

One thing i like and appreciate about Kaidan is that he'll never walk on eggshells for anybody, be it commoner or Jarl. But on the other hand, I wish he'd acknowledge the DB is grown woman who can make their own decisions. My man, you dont have to defend us all the time.😅 His jealousy probably just makes it harder on the DB. You dont have to try so hard if its already yours.🥴

Yeah, that's fair but it is nice to have someone back us up like that. While I can see the appeal of Ulfric, something about him doesn't sit right with me and his advances make me a bit uncomfortable tbh. So I was quietly cheering on Kaidan as he popped off. In fact it endears him to me even more. Though admittedly, if my Dragonborn had her way, she wouldn't be involved with any of it. A civil war is what tore apart and scattered her family. She wouldn't feel right taking an oath to participate in one.

I really like that, it tracks for his character. I would also like development over time in which he becomes comfortable enough in the relationship that his behavior starts to change, but I like him just the way he is. Remember, he is a man just coming into new love and doesn't recognize it. In the notes he writes you it's apparent he's struggles to control himself when the DB's honor is questioned, and I really like that attention to detail.

Ugh fine. I'll do the Stormcloaks questline. I can't stand Ulfric, but this is some killer dialogue. There's just something about disappointing Balgruuf that kills me inside 😢 I love how Kaidan is like "oh fuck off" to everyone except the little girl. He's so polite to her and it's my favorite 🤌🏼

If you're on pc, there's a mod called the Balgruuf Dilema. It allows you to convince Balgruuf to side with Ulfric. It would allow you to experience the spice and keep Balgruuf from being disappointed in you. It's what I use.

I quite literally just downloaded the Balgruuf Dilemma yesterday and played through the Ulfric Spice. It was top tier. The only problem is it will skip one dialogue scene following taking over whiterun but it was a small price to pay to keep the friendly dialogue with Jarl Ballin’ and the Fratpack 😂

Besides that mod all that needs to be made is a mod that enables the dragonborn to convince Ulfric after the war to start treating the others races better. I really do feel like a lot of the hate the nords feet towards the other races is born out of intense paranoia due to their believe they can't be fully trusted as a result of not being nords. However logically speaking after the war ends I one hundred percent think a lot of that inherent suspicion and mistrust would begin to dwindle as the nords would no longer be constantly worried about imperial spies and turn coats in on their midst.

I appreciate these walkthroughs, I'm so curious to see the quest, but I can never get myself to join the stormcloaks :) Every single time I get to Balgruuf and he's disappointed in me I just :((((

The drama of this storyline is great but this is the only way I’ll ever experience it. Just listening to the subtext and considering the overarching politics leave me feeling vaguely queasy anytime I consider siding with the Stormcloaks. I’ll happily help Kaidan shove that axe along though!

Oh wow, so glad you uploaded this! I've not gotten to the civil war in my recent playthrough since downloading IF so its awesome to see some of the stuff it entails! I think my DB's response would be somewhere between a sarcastic "Oh no, please guys, dont fight over little old me." and "Kaidan please, you're already banned from Dawnstar..."

The entire kaidan and ulfric thing is kinda weird... but damn... im impressed on how "immersive" it is. Almost looks like its a part of the game itself. I my opinion, weird but very very well done. btw very good vid!

I know you posted your entire mod list but I'm having trouble finding it! What armor is your DB wearing at the beginning? Thank you so much for posting this!!! I highly recommend "Stormcloaks for Good Guys" if you have trouble siding with the stormcloaks because of how they treat non-nords. I've used it with this mod it works seamlessly.

I did not realize this was a thing until recently but I shall experience the angst through the video. Cannot bring myself to side with the Stormcloaks as someone with a Breton Dragonborn. But I swallow up that Kaidan content like Alduin

Those tracks are from mods that add music to the game but I use so many idk where those specific tracks come from. OrganicView on Nexus has some great music mods and I've been using them for a while so I would check there! And the armor is Northern God - also on nexus

They really phoned this one in huh? Brynjolf has at least a trist option and several of the TG members have dialogue all through the questline. This was just Ulfric and a few lines from Galmar and guards that didn't really go anywhere at all. This was like 95% just vanilla civil war quest 😂 glad you posted this so at least I know I'm not missing much at all.

Loved the play through! Nice to see how it goes since I travel with the whole frat pack on my character so I have no intention on joining the war. Also what hair mod is the two long braids from? I see you have a lot on the mod list but I’m having trouble pinpointing the exact one

Its from a dint hair pack! dint is on patreon. You have to build the hairstyle in bodyslide to get those braids specifically but its as simple as toggling the right zap sliders

It's been a loooong time since I've made changes to shouts so I'm having a hard time remembering haha but I think this could be what you are looking for. Also with enb and general lighting and vfx improvement mods, shouts will look better too :) www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12149

I like the added dialogue could be read as both interpretations people have of ulfric (for a moment lets ignore the thalmor documents) Ulfric is either a headstrong arrogant idiot with a big ego and wants to rule skyrim because of his outrage over the war and hatred of the other races OR he's a wounded soldier who believes his visions (though perhaps a little overzealous and aggressive) would bring skyrim to a better place and preserve the culture. Both of these interpretations work with the dialogue. Kaiden's responses lean more towards the former, but that could be the mod writer's personal choice/belief how Kaiden would see him. It doesn't necessarily affect the reality.

The perfect time to become a stormcloak is after you find out you're dragonborn but BEFORE you go see the greybeards for the first time :) Ulfric has some specific dialogue that makes more sense if you hold off on greybeards until after you join

And don't rush out of the palace after turning in a quest since Ulfric and Kai should have a new interaction each time. And click on Ulfric from time to time since he has a couple of convos with you :)

No problems at all since they are not quest aware like Kai is for example. But for roleplay purposes you might want to leave them behind if that better fits you HC :)@@ladydisdain8233

came here to get a taste of the Ulfric spice since i never join the stormcloaks myself. i rarely make it far enough in a pt to do the civil war before i dump it and restart. thanks for sharing! was also wondering what animation mod(s) you used. tried the link to your mod list but it isn't working for me. would love to know if you recall.

@@Lavendarrr There is more scenes too. You have to complete the civil war. Make sure to have the scene after kaidan declares his love before the civil war ends. Next, beat the main story line and return to Ulfric. He will propose marriage. There are two scenes with Kaidan after...After you marry Kaidan, return to Ulfric.

Kaiden is extremely disrespectful to Ulfric from Day 1. I don't think it makes sense for Ulfric to ever tolerate such attitude. Kaiden should have been written to keep his displeasure more covert

Can these interactions only happen at a certain stage of your relationship with Kaidan? Coz for me Kaidan spoke perfectly to the companions, but he isn't interacting this this quest. Did I progress it too far? I haven't been proposed to yet, but I deliberately avoid talking to him at a home, because he does propose then, but I believe it'll affect the other quests I still want to do with him, including the thieves guild 😢

Yes I thiiiiink once he has declared his love there is no Ulfric spice - or at least very very little. As you saw, a lot of the dialogue depends on kai not having expressed his feelings for the DB so if he has, the angsty dialogue wouldn't make sense.

I am with everyone else. I always play as an elf (Bosmer) and it is like a slap every single time someone says it is the elves fault. It is the Thalmor, it is their fault. Yes they may mostly be elves, but not all elves are Thalmor. hahah Thus we all know.

Unfortunately a lot of this dialogue doesn't happen so smoothe on Xbox I can't get him to say any of this to ulfric except feeling about the ice wraith he has t tried to talk to ulfric? Update: since the mod was updated it works much better thank you❤

Ulfric already has a family in my game so it would be very awkward if he was flirting with my Stormcloak Dragonborn but on the other hand you can marry his two children Bjorn and Mera Stormcloak 😱🤣😉😳

Hey! No I don't use wabba but back when I first started modding I used a NOLVUS mod list as a base for my core system and visual mods. Over time I added new mods and swapped some out to make the list my own. You can auto install their lists but I highly highly recommend doing it manually just so you know what exactly you are downloading and also so you can better troubleshoot should something go wrong. It is tedious work but very rewarding in the end to have a game that is all your own :D

I have Kaidan if on Xbox. Took a while to get the load order right though but it’s working fine now. Although I haven’t been able to get this much dialogue out of ulfric but I might have not reached all the pre-requirements

IF is on Xbox. You also have to activate these scenes in the Kaidan options in the Powers menu because they are turned off by default
