Skyrim Mod Tutorials Part 1: Editing Leveled Lists in TES5Edit (basic)

Still a good tutorial 8 years later! The tangent where you covered outfits is what really helped me. I didn't even need to edit the leveled lists. Turns out Morrowloot Ultimate bypasses the leveled list to set the bandit chief outfit to steel plate no matter the level.

I was actually looking for some video to help me getting a basic understanding of how to create "finalization patches" for conflict resolution and for getting rid of some small esps by merging them to get more independet from my new STEP modded Skyrim (which I'm using as a base for individualization to my taste), when I stumbled over your video! Absolutely great video tutorial - I learned a lot - more than I've managed to pull out of the FNVEdit Training Manual actually >.< Now I have another project for my Skyrim settup, which I "have to" do before finally playing Skyrim again! Thanks :) I mean, you know how to do something in theory, but there's really nothing quite like a good to the point step by step hands on instruction. Lootification has been giving me grief so now I have to make myself into a skyproc patcher, but honestly I think it'll end up being a blessing in disguise. So many things can go wrong with lootification. Advanced youtube tutorials on conflict resolution are hard to come by and the documentation is pretty low quality, I've been doing a lot of trial and error trying to learn which as you know isn't fun. More mod authors should make these things, there'd be a lot less whining about compatibility patches going around which I know you guys hate. If you're willing that'd be a great video :)

You can just Ctrl+C in the right pane to copy the text of the current selected element (FormID in your case), no need to double click it first to open a viewer.

What about adding a armor mod to leveled chests rather than NPCs?

Loot Lists www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/78431 adds your installed weapons and armors into the leveled lists for you.

how do I DELETE things from a leveled list? Ex: mod comes with a leveled list baked in, I don't want the items to show up on npcs anymore, what do I delete etc?

I am trying to remove ambient creatures, rabbits, chickens, etc if I remove the count it will remove the creature from levelled list?

I can do the same with the outfits, so the sets don't get mixed and matched?

if i put an outfit as 100 will that be the only thing they were even if there are other things with 50?

This is gonna much more annoying for weapons I bet, like somehow I install the Level list version of Animated armory but none of the weapons show up in the level list, despites seeing a tabs in TES5Edit indicate existing level list set up. So for example, I want to add the Pikes and Quarter staff weapon types only into the Level List, that mean I have to edits each pikes and quarter staff into every factions that use Melee Weapons...

My game is ctd on save but when i disable leveled lists on bashed patch it saves normal. What do you think?.

Hey man, you are great I really appreciate it. Question: In your video description, you mention the BASHED patch, incase Forsworn level lists are usedwith other mods (they are for me).. So if I download YOUR .esm of the forsworn leveled lists with the headress, must I still make a BASHED patch? i actually don't know exactly what BASHED patch is, i'm off to look it up. Hey! I'm having an issue in SSEEdit 4.0.4 related to this video! When I get to around the 8:25 mark of the video, when I click on the leveled list records that I am going to edit, there is nothing displaying in the menu on the right hand side (ie: the spreadsheet style menu). Whats up?!?

Can I add armour packs into leveled lists? I have armour packs that add armor and weapons to the game, but I wouldn't want to separately add each and everyone of them to the leveled lists.

is there a way to make the list vary for female vs male

Is there any chance you could help me use FNVEdit to change a leveled list for Fallout New Vegas? It seems mostly similar but I'm trying to add a new gun to NPC lists, but I'm having trouble with the 'withammo' version of the weapon so it actually spawns with the ammo so the NPC can use it.

how would one go about setting a outfit into a leveled list or is it possible? troublemakers forsworn armor breaks the forsworn outfit into a bunch of parts making it customizable what you want, but i want to set up forsworn so they have a chance of spawning with a small group of these pieces instead of just one part ie: the pouch, loincloth, top, cape, and amulet with one look or the same with another look.

great videos! i got a problem I was adjusting stuff for Another Sorting Mod, and after I finished making the conflict winner mod, I got a dawnguard, and hearthfire, esm files. Also, both with a dawnguard, and hearthfires, strings folder, as well as my conlfict winner mod. I'm not sure what to do with all this, can you please help me. I'm thinking of Making these all one mod, but I don't want .esm's to be at the end of my load order.

Great video thanks for the tutorial! But can anybody help me?! I've got the magicka sabers mod and I want each faction to have a particular coloured saber. To start with I'm trying to get the Forsworn to have the orange saber. I kinda seem to have done it right as maybe one warrior will have it, but I want ALL or MOST to have one. the "chance level none" is set at 0 and I've removed all other weapons from the Forsworn weapons on the level list but most of them still seem to be armed with a Forsworn sword! I'd be immensely grateful if anyone could advise me!!! BTW this is the first time I've tried anything like this. I only downloaded TES5EDIT for this purpose.
