Thanks for this. I loved that you included an explanation of what a leveled list is and why you need to do a bashed patch. It makes perfect sense, and now I know why this is so important for modded Skyrim. Really easy to follow and understand, and I'm leaving with a whole pile of questions answered, thank you!
Thank you for providing a clear explanation to help me understand what it is im changing instead of just telling how to do it. You're amazing. Thank you! Subscribed and I will recommend your video to others I know. Cheers!
Very helpful, thanks! Really appreciate the overview and description in the intro. I'm still only a newb for modding and getting to know the purpose of the tools is the first step to learning.
Awesome vid my dude. I've been using Wyre bash for many years and I t occurred to me i didn't properly know what it did to a good extent, so this video was perfect. Well done!
I'm not even using special edition and this tutorial has single-handedly been more useful than any LE video because you actually explained why I'm doing any of this.
You know, your voice and way of talking remember me Lucien! I like that guy and he make me laugh most of the time, so take it as a compliment! Anyway ty for this video and your nice explanation!
Thank you for the tutorial, it was clear and to the point. 07:18 For just merging leveled lists alone, do we need to check all the options beside the leveled list option? Or would checking the leveled list option alone would suffice? Thanks.
I know It's 7 months late but as someone who had the same question I wanted to give an answer for people who might be reading comments and wondering the same thing from some research on the internet "Import X" stuff seems to be safe to left checked always and the other tweaks are some fixes so that you wouldn't need extra mods to fix thoose so It's also safe to leave them checked you can see what most of the stuff is doing anyways by clicking on them and reading their description TLDR: leave the default options and build your patch
Dude, tho it was the best tutorial i've seen in a while, why arent you doing anything more about it? It's a shame man, really. I know there is plenty of channels about mods, but about installing them? Not a single one that is as good as you. I bet you can make a series which can blast the competition off that horse. Many people dont know how to use maaany more complicated skyrim mods, so consider making a up to date series bro, its really a good idea. See you around ! (I hope so xD!)
Hey man thanks for the tutorial. I was going to ask, one the pop up menu in Wrye Bash, can I just tick the level list box and only update the level list or do I need to keep all the other boxes ticked as well- eg: import actors, import cells etc...??
personally, I would leave all of those functions ticked, as they certainly don't hurt, and are mainly used to increase performance. However, if for some reason you decide to not have them ticked, it's not the end of the world.
Well, I thought I was finally getting somewhere, when a warning popped up, the process stopped, and left this error message: patcher_dialog.py 278 _error: Exception during Bashed Patch building: Traceback (most recent call last): File "bash\basher\patcher_dialog.py", line 168, in PatchExecute File "bash\patcher\patch_files.py", line 144, in init_patchers_data File "bash\patcher\patchers\preservers.py", line 460, in initData AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'isInterior' Traceback (most recent call last): File "bash\gui\events.py", line 180, in _post File "bash\balt.py", line 705, in _conversation_wrapper File "bash\basher\patcher_dialog.py", line 168, in PatchExecute File "bash\patcher\patch_files.py", line 144, in init_patchers_data File "bash\patcher\patchers\preservers.py", line 460, in initData AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'isInterior' Can anyone interpret this for me? Thanks in advance for any advice!
I recently bought a new computer I've never seen before with wrye bash. It goes through the bashed patch process but when it's finished its just opening up a small blank window unlike the typical yellow window. I can finalize the patch but nothing is in it and then mod organizer 2 it shows up as a blank 0. Esp file.
I just want to merge 2 of mods leveled lists ,the rests are already fine I'm sure of them but bashed patch forces me to select all of them together ! I wish there was a to select only what you want
I understand leveled lists and this should be easy Peary for me to make a batch patch, I love adding weapons, clothes, items to the game and started having things not show an image when I collect or make them. Hopefully this is an snswer to some of my issues
I'd do that if I knew how. Typically Wrye Bash will give you an error automatically if it didn't bash correctly, although re-bashing your patch is also a good habit to get into when dealing with bugs.
Also can I add mods to the leveled list in this manner which normally could only be added with the console, or crafted? Or should the mod itself have a leveled list which wryebash just merges?
so a mod that requires you to use a console or craft an item usually doesn't come with a levelled list, so merging the lists won't effect it at all and won't cause it to be added to those lists. Make sure to check if the mod says it has levelled lists, or see if it has a separate levelled list file.
