Skyrim: Redcap Meets Gogh the Goblin & Tries to Take His Spear (New Follower Interactions!)

Because the Spear of Bitter Mercy is Hircine's Daedric artifact and signature weapon, not Sheogorath's. Sheogorath was briefly in possession of it at the time Morrowind took place, like he has been with many Daedric artifacts that do not belong to him (he sometimes steals them for his own amusement) but it is not his and he has no actual association with it. In the Skyrim Goblins creation, the Spear of Bitter Mercy was awarded to Gogh the Goblin after he was found worthy by Hircine by taking place in the Great Hunt, and in general the Spear can only be wielded by those Hircine deems worthy of it.

Some of Redcap's special armors (like the Pirate Hat) are not obtained by crafting, there's a full list of his armors and how to unlock them on the mod page on Nexus :)

No problem! I've been working on making the mod page more easy to navigate and trying to make the most important bits of info stick out a bit more, which is tough bc the page is the main documentation of the mod so there's a lot of info there lol, so I'm not surprised if people manage to miss something.

Wherever should be fine! Only time load order may matter is if you have another mod that edits the navmesh near his Village's entrance in Solstheim, in that case I would load Redcap after that mod

If you mean the sidequest for the Spear of Bitter Mercy no there are no requirements for it to start, it'll trigger from one of Redcap and Gogh's interaction scenes when they are both travelling with you, not instantly That scene will be different however if you've already done what is needed for Redcap to use the Spear, part of which is completing Ill Met By Moonlight

@@PixieBombYT Ok, then I just need to be patient for the dialogue to start. I think the amount of companions I have with me has an effect on the delay.

Yes having many followers does seem to affect how often interaction scenes will play, and most interactions are conditioned by the followers who interact being within a reasonable distance to one another so having a lot of them can cause the "conga line" thing where they spread out in a line when you're walking around and may not let them stand close enough sometimes

Redcap is on his own custom framework and is 100% separate from the vanilla follower slot and does not affect or touch it in any way, so I'm not seeing how that is possible unless you have some other mod such as a follower framework mod attempting to control him and forcing him into the vanilla slot. Definitely not a Redcap issue, though, as he can be used and recruited alongside vanilla followers just fine.

@@naji_aka_Tracey I doubt load order would have much to do with this kind of issue, and though RU-vid is not the place for support I would recommend making sure that it is actually Redcap that your game believes is taking up the vanilla slot (impossible unless some other mod you have is forcing that to happen somehow) or if you have some other follower that may be taking it, such as mod followers like Auri/Thogra/Hoth/3DNPC followers/potentially others who use the vanilla framework, or another follower from the vanilla game.
