This is amazing, I liked SDA and the voice acting was really good, but I still couldn't get over how jarring it is to have one character with 2 different voices. Defo gonna try this one out
Wow. Great work. SDA honestly changes her personality so much and makes her a completely different character - very much a stereotypical “woman written by a man” caricature, which is why I never downloaded it. This stays pretty true to her vanilla self. Love it!
There are plenty of good female characters that were written by men, and there are plenty of bad female characters written by women. So theres no defacto gender on gender character mistakes. Just to add SDA is more of a joint written take on Serena, a lot of lines were added by Kristian herself in that take of Serana. Its still good just a different take. But i will agree with u that this is something ill personally likely take over SDA in the future because of how seemless it is, and well crafted it is.
@@anthonym840 I never said there weren't. But SDA is a textbook example of it -- if you're not familiar with the "woman written by a man" phenomenon/archetype just say that. SDA is a very thirsty and sexualized recharacterization of Serana that is very blatantly for heterosexual male appeal.
@@sydniebush6490 to be fair, that "woman written by a man" archetype isn't even that appealing for me. And I'm a heterosexual man myself 😅 I don't think _every_ man is into that type to begin with. Tastes are as diverse as people exist in the world.
@@garmagictes5399 My whole point is that it’s not appealing! It can be quite frustrating as a woman modding. I’ve been a longtime player and modded for several years so mods like this are a breath of fresh air in a community that is notorious for horndogging lol
I like SDA cause its rich on content but this mod legit came eerily close to SDA in its quality of voice acting even tho its AI. Would be cool if you could update this mod with commentaries for the other faction quests and maybe some major side quests as well. Also what other followers are you using in this video? I'm curious
Great mod! The only minor critique , if I may share, is that early on she'll ask your character about themselves. The mod has the main character claim their dovahkiin, even without any knowledge of themselves being one (never killed the dragon at the watchtower) . Future updates for those who roleplaying such a character would be very immersive
@@LandStrider23 This mod relies solely on the vanilla game, and I assume that most players would want to unlock their shouting power before doing anything else. I had to make a choice, and being the Dragonborn is central to the player character. Many NPCs refer to you as such. I see your point, but I don't know what I could replace that option with. The PC is a blank state before the first dragon appears. There's nothing special about them before realizing they're a DB.
Darn it! SDA has so many cool features, and i was sire i coulf kust stick with that, but yhen you show up with some legit solid and in septh writing for Serana.
@@davidcopperfield5345 This kind of mod is something that sometimes need months of work, it's not something you create in 3 hours. Without mentioning his own $$ to generate all those lines in Elevenlabs or something.
@@PeterMinoz-px3kx NFF does. I don't know how to make one myself like SDA's, but NFF or any other follower framework should suffice. Besides, in the Thalmor Embassy you can't use magic or powers until you sneak out of the party, so it wouldn't be useful when it truly counts story wise :(

@@jordanlilin "Personalized Music". You can put ANY music you want, so long as is in .wav format. It's a must-have for me, so that I get to listen to AoT music when I fight a Dragon 👌😁
niceeeeeeeeee I got bored so I tried to download skyrim again so, thanks to this I am going to make another character, just to hear laura's voice again, since I use SDA

Alright, I updated the mod (I made the stupidest rookie mistake in the history of ever) and fixed the issue. It should work now but please tell me if you run into any issue.

I love SDA. But this is too well maticulously done not to try instead. I cant believe how well this sounds and how seemless it is. Im gonna have to push SDA asside for this in a playthrough.
@@holylarcenist9596 ... I admit I didn't think that through, but he could mean it as in "the last one that appeared". Regardless, I'll be doing some corrections in the next update (such as when Serana says that the Lurker is 4 feet tall when it's way bigger than that 🤦♂️). Now that you mentioned it, maybe I could just make the player say "I'm a/the Dragonborn". The "last" part is unnecessary when you think about it. Thanks for bringing this to my attention! 👍
@@garmagictes5399 The prophecy of the Dragonborn states he's the Last: "...the World-Eater wakes, and the Wheel turns upon the Last Dragonborn." You (both as player and in-game character) can learn of it from the "The Book of the Dragonborn" and Alduin's Wall.
@@JustMe_Inq The issue comes if the player starts the DG quest before finishing the quest "Alduin's Wall" AND is not exacly the reading type (instead just opening books randomly to check if they get a skill bonus). It's something I overlooked but corrected in the update 1.0.1
can we please get this ported to xbox? I've played through SDA a few times and while it's really good this version feels way more authentic to Serena's actual character

I'm gonna be honest, that was the first time I used "feet" as a metric system. I googled it once and it said "humans are 2 feet of length" so since the Lurker is twice as tall as a human then I went along with 4. But now I just double-checked it and says that humans are about 5 feet tall, which means that the first time I checked it told me the length of A HUMAN'S FOOT probably! 😖 This is embarrassing and I deserve this for not double-checking my sources sooner. 😅 Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I'll fix this dialogue issue as soon as I make the next update! Just to be sure, a Lurker would be like 10 feet tall, right?
@@garmagictes5399 it's alright dude, small things fall through from time to time in the writing process, it happens. I plan or to do some writing and small comics myself but I don't know how to start. I think lurkers are generally as tall as giants average imperials and bretons average at about 4-6 while nords and elves average at about 5-7, so yeah, they're pretty much twice as tall as a human or mer in Elder Scrolls 10 feet tall. like william wallace.

After I'm done with the updates and stuff, I'll work with my DVBO packs of Joker and Makoto Niijima to give the PC a voice too. That won't happen in a long time though, considering that both packs and this mod make use of ElevenLabs 🥲 Hopefully someone else will make a voice pack of their own
