In our latest Skyrim video we discuss the secret plan of the Thalmor.
EMPIRE WILL FAIL: • Skyrim - The Empire WI...
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fifth main installment in The Elder Scrolls series, following The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11, 2011.
The game's main story revolves around the player character and their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. The videogame is set two hundred years after the events of Oblivion, and takes place in the fictional province of Skyrim. Over the course of the game, the player completes quests and develops the character by improving skills. The game continues the open world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.

You mean to literally unleash Oblivion upon Nirn? Dem dumb Thalmor are forgetting the 8 spokes (towers) don't necessarily support the wheel itself (which existed happily and for a long time without them). The spokes most likely just keep the realms of Oblivion and Mundus separated). I won't be surprised if it turns out the leader of the Thalmor is some daedric manipulation.

WOW! WOW! WAIT!!!! Wait! I've just understand something: it is because the Thalmor had messed up the tower in Skyrim that Alduin was released from the time loop he was casted into, because if the towers hold the sky and the current situation of the world, they could have an influence on time. Think about it, peoples. Do you remember the prophecy on Alduin's wall? "When misrule takes its place at the eight corners of the world When the Brass Tower walks and Time is reshaped When the thrice-blessed fail and the Red Tower trembles When the Dragonborn Ruler loses his throne, and the White Tower falls When the Snow Tower lies sundered, kingless, bleeding The World-Eater wakes, and the Wheel turns upon the Last Dragonborn." ........................Oh my.
@Otis-Spunks
@Otis-Spunks 5 лет назад
I had the same thought, although the causation, if true, doesn't provide much other than that. I hardly think the thalmor intended on releasing Alduin.
@RenegadeCow
@RenegadeCow 5 лет назад
I just put this comment, but thought this was relevant to your comment. 'Here's an idea. As for the Snow Tower, although the theory of the throat of the world is plausible, there is no real canonical source to the position of the city of Winterhold before the Greta collapse. The city held great power before the events of Skyrim, being the seat of the High King and the capital of Skyrim. Because we don't really know what Winterhold looked like before, we can assume that the snow tower could have been central to the city. So the mystery of the great collapse in the 'Fourth Era' the time where the Thalmor technically rose to peak power, destroys the snow tower hence the stone or vice versa.' When the Snow Tower lies sundered, kingless, bleeding.

Ok wait hold up. Not to reign on your parade. But it very likely may be talking about the high king of Skyrim. The fact that a snow tower exist may not be known outside those who can and have read the wall. It likely is referring to the High King being murdered. We don’t know how long alduin was back, and very likely it may have been for a little bit.

Yeah, at the finale of the Elder Scrolls, the Towers will all have failed, and Mundus will become unstable, and merge with an alternate universe - the Universe of Fallout. Guards will say, "I used to be an adventurer like you... then I took a 5.56 to the knee." Nazeem will be like, "Do you get to the Lucky 38 very often? Oh, what am I saying. Of course you don't." Bards will play an upbeat version of, "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire" on the lute. Bandits will scream, "YAW DEAD, MEATSACK!", while raiders scream, "I'LL GUT YOU LIKE A HORKER!". The Courier will tell Benny, "I-i-important deliveries to make. No time for chatting." and then shoot his dick off. A Necromancer will bring Billy Holiday back from the dead to sing, "The Dragonborn Comes". Preston Garvey and the Night Mother will have an epic duel at the Throat of the world to see which unlimited quest giver is better. The Brotherhood of Steel and the Vigilants of Stendarr will be, like, best friends. Akatosh will be revealed to be Todd Howard.

@DMIwriter
@DMIwriter 7 лет назад
Similar motives but with a difference. The Thalmor want to unmake Mundus to re-attain Aedric status. The Dwemer simply wanted to "nope" themselves out of reality altogether. They wanted to escape the Aurbis entirely (and if you hold to Michael Kirkbride and the not entirely "canon" writings - they wanted to escape the Dream altogether, to essentially extricate themselves from the Godhead through sheer denial of reality).
@ratchetisratshit
@ratchetisratshit 6 лет назад
The eye of Magnus could be used as a shortcut to destroying reality. Arcano, the high ranking thalmor from the college of winterhold questline, says that the power to unmake the world is his when he begins messing with the eye. I think that is basically a confirmation that the thalmor want to destroy mortal reality. A side note: what if Alduin was the stone of the snow tower.

When its the Bosmer and the Dunmer and the Atlmer who are far superior in magic and stealth (even the Bretons make better mages, and the Khajiit make better thieves) and yet those nords say "little elf" and "what do you want cat". It would make sense for there to only be 8 towers, 8 is a very important number in the series, 8 original aedra and when you look at what happens when you achieve "Chim" it is said that you remove the 8 spokes of the wheel and see the truth, perhaps when the towers deactivate you awake the god dream? perhaps it'll be our job to create a new 9th tower in a future game just as tiber septim created a new 9th god in him self as talos(even if there was some mantling with lorkhan and everything with Stormcrown, Zurin Arctus) And I know snow throat's stone is supposed to be "The cave" but maybe the stone is paarthunax, he's been with the tower for centuries and you have a track record of deactivating towers in main quest lines, this would follow the Red Mountain- White Gold trend set by the previous games.

I actually think you guys created a possible ESVI plotline: Set in High Rock, you have to foil a secret attack on the Adamantine Tower and save all mortal races. And yet, in the end, only two locations have been revealed to us. One is your College. The other... Well, that can only be Labyrinthian." I believe this is tied Into the towers theory. The synod was originally looking for the towers as they are powerful magical sources however the eye of magus interferes with their plan. But even then the eye of magus might be able to help with locating the towers

In case of the 'throat of the world' I see the possibility that Paarthurnax was the Stone. Not by objective reasons but imagine the tragedy of the story. What Esbern did was to force the Dragonborn to kill Paarthurnax and in this he fulfilled the aim of the Thalmor, their greatest enemies, because he deactivated the Tower. Esbern in fact helped his persecutors so much in getting immortal, because they never could have reached the top of the mountain, because the are not able to use the voice to get through the snow storm behind the cloister of the greybeards.
@maximilianborst5441
@maximilianborst5441 7 лет назад
Well, i think this is very unlikely. It seems too fantastical that, after the greybeards proclaimed the arrival of a new dragonborn, the Thalmor instantly send one of their agents to get the horn of Jurgen Windcaller because they assume that the dragonborn will be send out to get it. Btw there is a problem I have with Delphine: how could she know that the Dragonborn needs to find the Horn in this specific old nordic ruin of which there are hundreds in skyrim. But ok. After Delphine got the trust of the dragonborn, the thalmor arranged the whole infiltration thing, knowing that many of them get killed? even more unlikely. Only if they assume only a dragonborn can deactivate the throat of the world they sacrifice many of their own race to reach this goal, it would be a very perfidious plan of the leaders of the Thalmor, and maybe not a good story.

@@maximilianborst5441 I'm sure I'm missing a lot of this conversation, since I only see your comments, but on Delphine and the the Horn, there is an explanation. Everyone at least has the possibility of learning that Jurgen Windcaller founded the Greybeards, so the Greybeards would probably have any Dovahkiin go to his tomb (Delphine does say they're predictable after all.) And since she IS a Blade, intelligence gathering comes natural to her. How hard would it really be for her to find Jurgen's tomb and then steal his horn after she hears the Greybeards call for the Dovahkiin?

Have a setting where you in the main questline chose to either join a rebel faction or become an agent of the dominion, with two differing but somewhat similar story lines, both of them culminating in fighting against some common threat that would be detrimental for both Factions. More likely they saw it as a chance to kill two birds with one stone. Kill the worship of Talos and, by extension, kill Talos. But in the meantime, provinces or regions that rebel against this idea - coupled with unwitting sleeper agents like what they did with Ulfric - give them the opportunity to ferment civil wars that divide and weaken the Empire giving them more freedom to enact the other parts of the plan as necessary. The Thalmor are playing the long game, but if one of their long-term goals lays the foundation for some more immediate gains, they'd be fools to not make the most of that opportunity.

This is likely the main story of the next Elder Scrolls or at least one of them. Even Bethesda themselves gave a huge nod to it in Skyrim. When you rescue Esbern from the Thalmor in the ratway. Asking him certain questions about them and Alduin ending the world will result in him saying something like "I suppose even the Thalmor don't want the world to end or at least they would want to do it on their own accord" that is pretty much confirmation of this theory right there for me.

I think the Snow Tower is actually the College of Winterhold, or the college is at least a tower. Another theory I would LOVE for you guys possibly discuss in a video or at least think about, is the concept of the Shezarrine. elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Shezarrine I like the idea that the DragonBorn is one just like Tiber Septim, Wulfharth, Zurin Arctus or possibly Pelinal Whitestrake. They are all potentially mortal manifestations of Lorkhan and many more are likely out there. ( Explaining why he appears in every culture due to a god not being limited to any one form or place) It's likely (To me at least) that the Dragon Born is not just restricted to being some almighty dragon-slayer but has said abilities and most likely more because he is an Avatar. Just think by end game you are unstoppable like a demi-god. The three things that prove this to me ultimately is 1.You cannot see Shor (Nordic Lorkhan) In Sovengarde because you are his physical form while his other godly power is outside and formless (thus why he can still tell them to stand down) 2. Alduin states this "Do not forget that it was Heaven itself that shed you from me." Meaning essentially "We were both two sides of the same coin." Lorkhan and Akatosh are both inverses (See the similarities?) Alduin is born from Akatosh, You from Lorkhan... 3.Every main character embodies the characteristics of Lorkhan; Freedom, Growth, Conflict, Mortality, Adventuring. Thus I find it likely that the "Missing God" in every game is YOU. Plus you are always in a divine intervention like predicament early on.

My biggest problem with the towers theory is that several of these 'towers' have not always existed since the beginning of time and were built by mortal hands. The Crystal Tower, White-Gold Tower, and Brass Tower being perfect examples. It seems highly unlikely to me that objects built by mortals many centuries or even millennia after the creation and subsequent stabilization of the mortal plane would have anything to do with the stability of that plane.

Gonna rant about the Snow Tower for a bit. I think the main thing that's holding everyone up with this tower is when it was created. In my eyes, it was either created with the crowning of the first High King of Skyrim, or with the sealing of Alduin. "When the Snow Tower lies sundered, kingless, bleeding" In the first theory, the Jagged Crown is the stone. We've already seen how royal artifacts can be stones, such as with the Amulet of Kings. In addition, Galmar mentions that the Crown supposedly holds part of the power of each king who wore it, also like the Amulet. The cave that is supposedly the stone could be the burial site that the Crown is found in. The Crown not being in use anymore would be a pretty easy explanation for the line on the wall, since the stone is separate from the tower, there is no king, and Skyrim's at war. I don't think this is likely, but it is possible, and interesting at the very least. I do think Alduin being the stone is much more likely. In every mention of Alduin, he's always described as a world eater. Even in the Dragonborn song, it says he has a hunger to swallow the world. What if the cave that's the stone is representative of his stomach, or his hunger? Or whatever power it is that he uses to devour everything? He could be the "king" in this scenario that left the tower, with the sundering and the bleeding being effects from the time wound. That's all contingent on the last two lines of the prophecy occurring at the same time, which may not be possible. Or the cave could be the time wound itself. Another thing I'll spitball is that the Snow Tower could be fulfilling "holding reality together" simply by keeping Alduin at bay within the time wound. I don't know. I don't think either of these are quite right. If the stone is the Crown, when was the tower made? That'd also make it inactive since 1E, which doesn't sit right. However, Alduin as the stone doesn't line up as well with the prophecy. I can't wait to find out what it actually is, though.

Plot for Elder Scrolls 6 Set in Valenwood and Elsewyre the Thalmor have reignited the war with man by invading hammerfell and destroying their tower triggering thr second great war. The events of Skryim deactivated the throat of the world tower. Reality still exists so that must mean the Thalmor have been unable to destroy the tower in Valenwood where Bosmer resistance fighters have been trying to prevent it, but they're running out of time. The new war has the races of man and beast unite against the thalmor to try and push them back out of Valenwood before they can destroy it. The tower is actually hidden in the moving trees, and only the Bosmer can locate it. When the game takes place the empire, Skyrim and hammerfell forces have invaded Valenwood and mostly pushed the Thalmor out. Not ones to give up when theyre so close though the Thalmor are still operating behind enemy lines to locate the tower. They control most of the vast forests but the roads and cities (now reestablished by the empire) are in control of man. Thats where the player character comes in. He must navigate the second great war and unravel the mystery of the last tower. Inform the empire of the true plan. Finding the stone and thwarting the Thalmor conspiracy to save the world. It all comes to a head when the final stone for the tower is found and destroyed at the very end. The world descends into chaos and reality breaks down. At the very end Talos appears as a representative of the 9 divines who have decided to take pity on mankind. The player character is converted into the new stone, Talos gives up his divinity to you for the sake of humanity so that you become an immortal being and the Thalmor can never achieve their goal. Where Oblivion left the player character as one of the Deadric princes Elder Scrolls VI: Valenwood will leave the PC as a living God, one of the 9 divines. The savior of humanity and unbreakable stone holding reality itself together DLC is busting up a skooma distribution network in Elswyer and running down crackhead cats

The Snow Tower stone might possibly be the Time-Wound at the top of the mountain, as it connected to the Dragon Break. And if it's true, that means the stone has been deactivated when we use it with an Elder Scroll to summon Alduin.

both empire and dominion out law deadra worship likely more so after oblivion crisis and dunmer worship the three good deadra again and we don't have are living gods side note thalmor win we might survive in side the deadra

Yeah but the altmer won't go against the dunmer. Plus Morrowind is now caked in ash. So I'm guessing the thalmor won't probably care about who the dunmer worship. If they did care about outlawing daedra worship in tamerial. Then they would of looked towards morrowind.

I have also read that the world Thalmor want to return is no longer possible, and have also read that the state they used to be was a prison of it's own and that Lorkhan actually freed all souls by creating Mundus.

I just thought of something, could the Silver Hand be at least slightly connected to the Aldmeri Dominion? The Companions are well known across Skyrim and the have the axe Wuuthrad, or Elf Slayer. I'm pretty sure that the Aldmeri Dominion would want that axe gone..

Stormcloaks having skyrim is the way to go. If hammerfall could defend against the thalmor, then so can skyrim and it's nords!
@whoyoucallinpinhead3523
@whoyoucallinpinhead3523 7 лет назад
True but what if the empire joined in on the attack on Skyrim with the Thalmor. Do remember, the empire lost many soldiers fighting against the stormcloaks. Plus General Tullius was executed by the dragonborn. So I imagine the empire wouldn't be to pleased with the dragonborn or the stormcoaks...

The dominion lost in hammerfell because they were tricked. Hammerfell fought with the empire during the great war which was a perfect opportunity for the dominion to send a small number of troops in while it was basically defenseless. Then the white gold concordat was signed, banning talos worship and the southern portion of hammerfell was handed over to the dominion. This caused redguard soldiers in the empire to become outraged and titus mede II was forced to release hammerfell from the empire. The redguard soldiers returned to their homeland to fight what little thalmor were there and drive them out. Hammerfell won because the dominion only sent in a small squad of troops and were vastly out numbered when the redguard soldiers arrived. If the thalmor wanted to take hammerfell by force, they could.

Also redguards are naturally more talented warriors than nords and know how to defend against magic to a degree.

nords are supposed to be stronger/tougher, whereas redguards are more agile/skilled. Both races are more warrior like. Bretons are more intellectual and imperials are well rounded and more street smart yo.
