WANT SKYRIM??? Check out this link for great prices on tons of games! 🔗www.g2a.com/n/frost_skyrimse P.S PLEASE EXCUSE THE AUDIO IN THE MODDED VERSION AS I HAD TO REMOVE A SONG DUE TO COPYRIGHT!
Yes the vanilla definitely had more grit, I actually reworked the mods in this video and made a new one. Let me know what you think of the new set up and which one is your favourite: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ayXha2lRnPk.html
Omg I completely agree. I want the vanilla feel, the feel of SKYRIM. The ruggedness and all of it, the feel of the harsh Nordic planes. It all has a aesthetic synchronicity. Don't get me wrong I love the modded community and it's incredible and unique that Skyrim has such a large fanbase of incredible and talented people still contributing to and modding it, and to each to their own.. But it can be a little tedious when trying to tailor a modded experience unique to my very vanilla taste when the VAST majority of mod showcases, displays etc are all saturated in that very stylised, discordant, enb'd to fuckery look and all the characters are like anime people with enormous tits and pastel faces
@@perryneum778Just use bleak enb, or don't use any graphic mods. Btw I've had the same opinion as you, played my rim with bleak enb etc, but it really doesn't make much difference whether you use the low saturation, and contrast graphics or the high sat. If you're sick of vanilla as i am, focus on gameplay, and making the game more fun to play, try not to get drawn into IMMERSION, it's nonsense you'll realise quickly it's shallow, and lame scenic simulator, and honestly people you don't need 1k mods to have a amazing experience, i got 15 modded playthroughs with 100ish mods and they were, and are great. Trust me those 1k mods you'll forget about it the moment you start playing. F i had like 600 armour sets once, through the 100hour playthrough i used 4 of them, same goes for everything else, a small list of good stuff, is much easier to keep track of, you can always make another playthrough
I don’t understand all the hate for modded combat. Yeah vanilla was nice, but the same combat after ten years gets really old. People saying “just play a different game” don’t understand how awesome it is to breathe new life into Skyrim and make it your own. :D
Vanilla combat isn’t even that good to get mad for tho… You get hit by weapons 5 feet away from you before the hit animation fully registers, it’s more like a number game of who does more damage and has more armor rating due to having almost no defensive options. And if you fight enemies with high attack damage and 20 percent of your health is gone you get kill-moved. I like Skyrim vanilla. I first played it on ps4 but you don’t gotta be delusional to like a game. Now it feels wrong for me to play without wildcat and hit-box mods
eh both have there place modded combat is interesting but skyrim or sse even sae wasn't designed for it so alot of enemies aren't balanced for fast pace reaction among the ai stuttering failing to react that being said like n64 modding it is interesting to see ieven with the jank
I scrolled through and didn't notice any hate... some people prefer vanilla combat and I can see why. I myself like vanilla+ with some edited animations and simply find MCO to be way too much, it feels out of place for me.
@@accretionist1Previously there was a comment which was removed for some reason, possibly that was what he was referring to. But yes everyone can have their own choice which is why modding is great!
Make the game better is subjective. I do overhaul combat in my modded skyrim but most of it would be considered vanilla+. I personally find a lot of combat mods, especially those that are part of MCO to be too over the top and flashy for skyrim, and I prefer mods that simply update some animations, without all the movesets. This doesn't mean I think MCO is bad. It just means if I want movesets I'll go play Elden Ring, but over the top modlists take me out of the immersion of skyrim. And I have friends that do not have the patience or the basic knowledge of modding to go through the process of nodding skyrim, and hundreds of hours later they are enjoying the game still. So my point is that saying people need to accept that mods make the game better is your own subjective opinion, and many would contest it.
@@SoCHobbitA lot of them go to straight up DMC territory, which is crazy. As you said, the movesets work better in their respective games. I can just boot up DMC and it works right off the bat without bugs... it's clear Skyrim isnt really meant to be played like that. Always felt like Mount and Blade combat would fit seamlessly though, so I never understood why they didn't go with that instead
The creator of that animation can be found here on nexus next.nexusmods.com/profile/skypia/mods?gameId=1704 However that moveset comes from his patreon version of his mod called For Honor Warlord Here: www.patreon.com/posts/warlord-remake-91095057
There is a simplicity to skyrims combat that makes it enjoyable. That being said I can’t see the new elder scrolls not having some of the elements the mods have. They really do need better animations
Smooth’s stuff is insanely good and, well, smooth. Literally the only MCO movesets I use, everything else feels so janky compared to his. And the directional and special attacks feel so natural, especially on the warhammer moveset.
@@FROSTGamingVerse so true, I think it just takes me back. And I've never been into the assassin's creed games, so the mods that look more like that aren't for me. That being said, I enjoyed the video and it's always fun to see what can be done with the power of modding.
I usually go for a more moderate modded skyrim experience with an a dark fantasy mix into it so my combat is bloody and brutal, i even have a mod to make the death screams more brutal.
Being honest combat is the one thing I wouldn’t change in Skyrim. I would though give the Morrowind systems back, tell me when a mod is made for that! That way I can figure out somehow how to put it in Skywind😂
I like both vanilla and modded Skyrim. Now that a groundbreaking mod called MCO has appeared, as someone who likes high fantasy, I mainly use the Virgil moveset for high-quality action that fits the current trend. However, the reason I played Skyrim in the past was because the image of the brave northern Norse warrior with a steel sword and shield defeating a dragon and using the roar looked so masculine and strong. Some people say that the appearance of Skyrim's vampire lord is monstrous and ugly, but I really like the appearance of Skyrim's vanilla vampire lord. Originally, vampires were undead and monsters. They expressed monsters as monsters and made them look scary and powerful, so why should they be criticized? Anyway, what I mean is that Skyrim is good whether it's vanilla or modded
Haha yeah I did change it alot... I have a video with a vanilla plus version here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ayXha2lRnPk.html Let me know which one you prefer :)
I've never really played Skyrim but this looks awesome. Is it hard to mod it? How many mods are you running? Is there a 1 mod does all? Wish there was 😆
@@cptrockstar3292 modding Skyrim is awesome because you basically make your own game! Unfortunately there isn't one mod that does it all. I have several mods in this list. But fortunately it doesn't take alot of mods to get a similar effect
let the mod community help make TESVI for a decade or so and everyone would be very much happy. I'm no modder, and I'm satisfied with Anniversary Edition, but it would be suffice to say that the next TES game should be more revolutionary and mind-blowing as a game than the last, like Elden Ring is to the Souls series.
Great video and all but I seriously think your potential is being wasted by not modding bobs and but physics into your Skyrim. We need a tutorial on how to mod the ultimate Skyrim with lusty argonian curves and petite anime hips
Nice. Very nice. Perhaps I'll try it sometime. I mod my game but I still try to keep the vanilla vibe and mechanics. I think thought that locking the target makes the game too easy for archers.
Yeah everyone has their own preference and I get where you are coming from, the lock on is a bit OP for archery and magic. I might try tweak the lock on distance to be closer for balancing in range.
Yes first person is still awesome. Theres some first person combat here but only very brief ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4CDgRWBjTxU.htmlsi=UuSugC-SEMDyZoKn&t=354
@@FROSTGamingVerse I feel like it's hard to make solid modlist for first person and third person combat, because most of MCO animations packs, which they are core of 3rd combat modlist for Skyrim, are too slow for first peron combat. I fell like vanilla 3rd animations are little bit faster, which make a good pace for 1st peron combat. Anyway, thanks for response.
the combat is actually kinda of more impressive from every other skyrim video with about the same title, But ngl i think something no one bothers to mod is the healing system, its really janky and no matter the player build you will always use restoration as your main healing source
When this baby comes out it will be the RLcraft of Skyrim. I guarantee fame and fortune to whoever supports this man, I've already won the lottery 6 times ($4.50 combined😌)
Man this modlist looks so good, can't wait for a wabbajack version to download this because I'm still too amateur when it comes modding skyrim and I lack the time to learn it more.
Thank you I will definitely check that out! I did make the combat against Bandits more challenging here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ayXha2lRnPk.htmlsi=C2bIR5Pgx8cW0w0l Using the OBIS bandit mod
Mods definitely make the game better but when I get a gaming computer, I’m gonna try to balance the combat because it just seems like he’s beating up on the computer so easily
These combat mods get old real fast when you're not fighting level 1 bandits and instead Meatsponge enemies with 1k HP that all rush you in all directions.
@@FROSTGamingVerse Right. I just wish that not every single one of these Combat mod showcase videos are fighting lvl 1 Bandits in outdoor Forts. 90% of the game's combat encounters are inside claustrophobic caves and nordic ruins. Outdoor Fort encounters you can count with 2 hands.
I like nearly all of the combat changes, but the red slice/streak that shows up when hitting an enemy looks tacky and out of place. Can that be easily removed? It's very distracting from otherwise awesome hit animations.
I agree the strikes were distracting so I changed them in this video, let me know what you think: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ayXha2lRnPk.htmlsi=C2bIR5Pgx8cW0w0l
I understand the changes might not suit everyone so I am open to making other versions, have a look at my other video may be these versions are better? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ayXha2lRnPk.html
Why does the modded version look more Vanilla then the original ? it lost all of its charm and soul. it looks like another generic 3rd person hack n slash.

Yes there is also an Original Plus option here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ayXha2lRnPk.htmlsi=C2bIR5Pgx8cW0w0l Let me know if you prefer that :)
I don't understand, why in the West people are trying to make from Skyrim...not Skyrim. Textures are very beautiful, but combat is much more worth than in the newest requiem mod list by the RFAD team(it's a Russian mod list)
Yes, I realised that everyone has different tastes so I am work on 2 versions. You can check them out here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ayXha2lRnPk.htmlsi=jXwWZ-44pY2O978-
Ahh sorry, it is pricey but too be honest if you opt for AMD parts you can actually build a pc that will run this easily for the same price as current consoles now :) Let me know if you ever do look into getting a pc, I would be happy to help.
Thanks, The mod is the patreon version of Skypias for honor animations. Found here: www.patreon.com/SmoothAanimation The free version is on nexus here: next.nexusmods.com/profile/skypia/mods?gameId=1704
I use modded combat, but not this extensive, mines just more challenging, similar to souls combat, but that weapon wheel mod you got is awesome, and obviously the animations are 👌, i might try nemesis again, but setting up animations always feel like a annoying chore
Thank you for the encouragement. I am doing another video soon with some changes and it would be great to see what everyone enjoys so that I can construct the best list and then once I have patched distant LOD I will likely release a wabbajack list

It comes from this mod: www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/74750 However only the patreon version has the punch, here: www.patreon.com/posts/for-honor-in-3-1-95673167
Although the animations were changed, I didn't like them. They lacked atmosphere, and the movements didn't feel realistic. I prefer the vanilla Skyrim animations
Skyrim is very nostalgic and its hard to pass up what we all once loved, however I also enjoy a fresh coat of paint to replay the game. I will work on keeping some vanilla aspects in a vanilla plus modlist soon :)
As much as I dont like the combat you added, its amazing that Skyrim is basically a base to make it whatever game you like. Me personally I prefer directional blocking games like Mount and Blade or For Honor and... Yeah theres mods to make it like that. Amazing.
Yup this engine can achieve a lot for such an old engine! Directional combat is awesome, and I have tried it in skyrim, however its very difficult to balance when several enemies surround you.
