Giant Pop-Up Constructions: Skyscraper in 51 Days | 4K Construction Documentary
Giant Pop-Up Constructions - Las Vegas, USA - Huge Swimming Pool in One Week: • Huge Swimming Pool in ...
A 40-meter high, 14-story apartment complex - erected in just 51 days. A construction boom in the Russian capital has been going on for years now. In 2017 the government decided to tear down communist apartment blocks (infamous for shoddy construction): around 4,000 buildings from the 1950s and 1960s are being replaced with modern high-rises. A politically significant infrastructure program - the pressure on construction companies is high.
We witness up close the tensions at one of the largest construction sites in Moscow. We experience how a huge apartment complex pops up out of nowhere. 150 finished apartment units are to be completed in 51 days. First residents are already scheduled to move in. No time for mistakes. Only if the workers place the walls in the right order at the predefined place, the building concept will work.
According to the stringent timeline, workers have three days per floor. Working in shifts around the clock is essential. While the walls are being set up, the next tradespeople - electricians and plumbers - are moving up from below. Even the smallest delay triggers a knock on effect that throws the whole project back for several days. Exact planning is essential here. The first floor has to be perfect and without mistakes, otherwise it will stretch to the top floor. Some parts cannot be stored and must be delivered just in time and immediately installed correctly. But what happens if the wrong parts are delivered and wind and sudden snowfall make building difficult for the workers?

Amazing how countries like Russia and China (and many other I am sure) can achieve these feats in days, in my country by the time multiple local council inspections are done it can take that long just to pour the slab for a single story house. And usually the cost of that slab of concrete is much less than what is already spent on paperwork to get that far. They say we have a housing crisis???? No, we have a bureaucracy crisis! The only danger is gas leak - explosion that could break the main structure what could cause the domino effect. It happened several times. Btw. take a look on videos from ghost town Pripyat. One would expect that Russian construction standards will be far greater than those seen in China in their infamous Tofu Dreg Projects! Whilst China can build high structures very quickly, one would certainly not want to enter one, nor to be beneath one as they will most likely be a Tofu Dreg Project...

Wonder how they can do that so fast? Yes they work 24/7, but.. they ignore many various safety terms and regulation, that are automatic in countries west of Russia. For example, the crane must not work when wind reaches some point etc etc. At last, the construction is very old. In Russia and all east european countries are thousands and thousands same-way-method built buildings for decades.

oh yeah, but for some reason cranes are falling in toronto and in new york and not in russia. it is funny how americans try to make up some excuses why their projects can not be implemented with the same speed and high quality

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with me. This life isn't all there is, heaven and hell are very real but Jesus Christ loves you and can save you. If you don't know that God is real and want to, then start to call on him today. If you will ask Jesus Christ with a genuine heart to please forgive all your sins, and come into your heart and please save you, he will save you and you will soon know how real he is. God bless.

*Nothing special or spectacular here, similar pre fabricated construction has been done for decades all around the world in pretty short time plus 14 story building is not that tall.*

There are thousands and thousands building like this in Russia. Same consctruction. Built in 60's to 80's in every russian city. They looks like they will collapse in every new day, but they last there for 40 years and nothing ever happened. The only danger is gas. Every single flat has gas inside (for cooker). Those old buildings are not rugged. In case of gas explosion in one flat, there is extremely high danger of collapsing the whole building or its part. It already happened several times.

You started your point, and then countered it yourself pretty well. Did you see how the wall panels attach to the floors?? By chicken welding it was. I would have expected some kind of mortise+tenon mechanism with adhesive. This feels wrong mechanically and structurally because it actually is.

@@reflections9409 those welds don't hold the building, it is held by gravity and concrete that's spilled in the gaps
