I felt so sorry for him after the first imprisoned fight. Dude just goes outside and when you look for him he's just against a wall, hitting it and crying about how useless he is. Didn't expect to feel so sad for him

there are also bridges in botw named after the teachers-- horwell, owlan and eagus-- and all three connect to an island with batrea lake on it... which might be a stretch but I can always hope that my boy batreaux also got the reference he deserved

They're not that hard at all, really... You can get caught, but they rarely require more than an extra attempt. But, yeah, that "You're caught" music is super intense.

The guardians aren't really a threat

@@hylianro lmao i was doing the eldin one and got caught instantly, and i had no idea where i was going and i ended up cross mapping eldin to get a tear and i never got caught. they aren’t really a threat as long as you stay calm

Only a few games have this kind of moments, where a single mistake is really punishing to somebody, if not lethal. (Few LOZ games "spoiler" alert) MM has the ghosts at Romani's Ranch... TP has the Prince's Escort trough half of Hyrule with an army of Bulblins trying to burn him and Ilia... PH has the Temple with limited time and an army of guardians and so many things to help them detect you... ST has the Tower with an army of guardians (again, but without the timer though)... SS has the Silent Realms with the Guardians, the Waking Water, the things that shine light to alert the guardians, etc.... Entering the Divine Beasts with the new Champions of BOTW can fall in this category, but one mistake isn't as punishing as it should be and there isn't that much of a challenge (especially for Ruta, Rudania and Naboris did it best).

What I love more about the reversal of Zelda's Lullaby is that it's meaning is reversed. Ballad of the Goddess is a song of Awakening while in the name, Zelda's Lullaby is a lullaby. Though, the way they use it now, it also seems to be a song of Awakening for Zelda and the Triforce.

Fans speculated it was Leonardo DiCaprio because of the similarities in the nose and eyes, and the other things mentioned. This info was from interviews in "The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts" book released back in 2017. You can find a few articles about it if you search up

@@PinkSunrise_spl Yeah, Imprisoned is pretty commonly seen as really ridiculous looking. On the plus side, it's essentially a glob of sheer power haphazardly made into some ugly mindless mass after being sealed, so it just looking wrong and barely functioning was probably intentional, but still. They probably could have worked with that concept more beyond the thing just giving itself the bare necessitates (mouth to eat, feet to move, and arms to climb once it realized that wasn't enough). At least its pre-sealed self is actually threatening, so it's definitely a intentional contrast, for better or worse.

No it was held back by its linearity and hand-holding. I'm not part of the camp that thinks linearity is bad, hell, by favorite Zelda is Twilight Princess. But this game is linear to a fault. There is a path and the game makes sure you stick to it, there is no more than one thing to do at any given time. It's like the game is a tour, not an adventure. It's a good tour, but nevertheless allows for virtually no player choice or influence on pacing. It doesn't help either that the Sky is empty and the surface is constructed like a series of hallways that need to be visited in a specific order and open up in specific ways that you'll never need to revisit. The overworld is, I've heard, kind of like a dungeon which I partly agree with. Dungeons are my favorite part of Zelda, but the way Skyward Sword handles the overworld is a mixed bag. It feels like following a path, not exploration. You must take this route to the Skyview Temple. You must come here after finishing Lanayru Mining Facility where you must go to Lake Floria exactly once. You must come back here again upon starting the Song of the Hero quest, where it is flooded only for this one occasion. The world never really opens up like past games, the game just tells you to go somewhere. Backtracking is gone in the sense that you never need to re-explore an area with new abilities, you just go sometime else in that area with abilities to use there. To get to the Sandship involves no part of the area that led to Lanayru Mining Facility. Sidequests are also locked until absurdly late points in the game. By the time I was allowed to get the Tycoon Wallet, there was nothing left to buy. By the time I was allowed to give Beedle his Beetle back, I bought everything in his shop and couldn't take advantage of the discount he now gave. By the time you get the Hylian Shield, there is literally one boss you can use it on. The game is good, but some more choice here and there would go a long way. Why do I need to do each of the Silent Realms and Flame dungeons in an exact order? Why does the second Imprisoned fight exist? Why do so many sidequests require the Fire Sanctuary to be completed? The game has issues, they're not impossible to look past, but they're bummers when you think about them.

@@iceneko9170 Not really. You can only get certain cubes at certain times and it all adds up to maybe 20 minutes of deviation from the path. The cubes are also mostly obvious so it's really hard to not get them as they come by. Like, okay, I got 3 cubes. Back to Eldin.

@@hypotheticaltapeworm yes. certain cubes are available at certain times. but they give you something else to do, to break the linearity when you return to the sky. whether to swap out your items, upgrade or just do quests. whether you can open the chests at that moment or not. i do think they should have been hidden better though. maybe behind a puzzle.

@@slashersoul2380 he'd be a bit boring if he'd stayed the bully. Dude had resentment towards link because he was close with Zelda. He was determined to rescue the girl he cared about and his dreams of heroics were dashed when he saw link in action. The moment he stopped getting pissy about Link's bond with Zelda and began hating himself for being helpless to help her, yes, I felt sorry for the guy. It's not really that odd. From then on he actually becomes a helpful and sympathetic character. It's cool if you don't like him but the guy's story was written to make him likable by the end. I felt sorry for him because that's what the developers intended. Again, not really odd 😂
