So happy for you Michael. What an awesome opportunity to have followed a small portion of this journey you’ve been on and looking forward to your continued success. I wish you much success and happiness along the way.
@@MichaelHsu95 hi subscribed. Right now I’m a aerial survey pilot, flying primarily throughout the western deserts and mountains. My TT 1466.1. I’m looking into applying to SkyWest and a couple other companies. My goal is to start with the Regionals and after two years of experience, decide if I want to apply to the Majors. Cheers!
@@bronsonmacdonald8471 that’s awesome to hear. Have you applied to skywest yet? And are you in the skywest cadet pathway? I would highly recommend joining. It only takes 5 min
Being in the pathway program is amazing. It will really help a ton when you are training. Keep grinding, you got this. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions! And be sure to subscribe, would appreciate it!
2023 Update: The hiring process has changed. I recently applied and this is the process now: *Application (was not asked for documents) *Phone interview *Video interview (or face to face if you’re in the area) *Final Phone interview (my current step)
2:50 They wanted your radiotelephone operator license? I thought that was a license attached to an aircraft. Wow. I've learned something today; I'll have to look that up! Thanks!
Thank you so much for watching. I applied when I had 1000 hours. Be sure to subscribe, would really appreciate it. Feel free to reach out if you have anymore questions!
Have you get a chance of interview at american airlines? And what is your opinion to become pilot at Europe because you can get job after completion of your training program it is not essential to get 1500 hour experience??
I was just hired by Southern Airways Express. They are an affiliate with Skywest. Would it benefit me to apply to the Skywest Cadet program as well?? Thanks in advance!!!
Your at Skywest, I have a Bachelors degree in Aviation mgnt, and continuing my private pilot. If I qualify for the R-ATP 1000 does the Skywest only want a CFI applicant or say a survey pilot job, that built hours towards 1000 hours, to apply to SkyWest
Hello! I just got my job offer a couple days ago and I'm super excited. Something I can't find online but I'd like to know for planning purposes. What is the time line from beginning ATP to the first paycheck and activation of insurance? Training has been rough on me and my family, but I'm glad I got through. I hope you don't mind me asking.
Hey hey!! Not too sure. I think you get insurance once you start indoc, but not 100% sure. I’m sure you can email skywest as they will have a much better answer than me
Hey Michael. Would you have time for a couple quick questions? Wondering how you are liking the job. I recently passed my direct entry captain interview and am waiting for the offer.
When I applied I only had 1000 hours, so I still need to get my hours. And I didn’t want to start in December since I want to spend the holidays with family.
If it’s SkyWest he should hear back on there page that are having an group interview look to see what date they are in your state and he can go and tell them he applied online already
Hi Micheal! I’m currently a sophomore in high school but my main dream is to be a pilot in American Airlines! My plan is to go through ATP flight school and be an instructor after at ATP. My question was on how many hours I should apply to a regional airline. Thanks!
Horrible plan, you will spend tens of thousands and their education is garbage. Try looking for a smaller school that doesn’t advertise as much. For what it’s worth Gofly in Miami is pretty good
@@carlosizquierdo1939thanks for the advice. Yea I looked more into ATP and found out they were not as advertised. Currently doing my PPL in Top Flight Aviation and planning on doing rest of my licenses at Embry Riddle Daytona 😁
@@stax7977 very happy to hear you didn’t fall into the jaws of ATP. Pretty much anyone outside it in the aviation industry openly mocks them. Have fun and safe flying!!
@@MichaelHsu95 thanks a ton! I just subscribed. Currently finishing up commercial with the AA Cadet program out of MYF. Trying to figure out a timeline. Appreciate your vids
