I just went there for inspection and changed a few ring gaskets that were craked but o not under the common intake cover.. boy was putting the fuel rail back a nightmare!!! a nightmare.. I tried everythin.. putting the injectors seperately then putting the rail§ putting the injectors in the rail then putting everything at one.. none of these got them in perfectly.. I ended up pushing with all my wieght on them (i was using vasilin helped a lot but still!)
I had a bunch of misfires, the valve cover gaskets were seeping oil, the vaccuum hosing had all turned to spaghetti. The heat of the motor had made an overhaul pretty necessary at 100k miles
Nice work. Appreciate the video! Do you know what this vacuum hose you're disconnecting at 2:32 is called? I am basically doing the same on mine and a plastic splitter of some sort attached to this hose from the right broke. didn't realize at first that these hoses were made of plastic, and not of rubber :(
