Happy to know that you like that song. I recorded, mixed & mastered that song on analog domain. Yes they recorded in 2inch tape & did it with no metronome. That was their first recording.

Yes, the vocalist Jamir Garcia grew up in Virginia Beach, California. During that song, he was just got here in the Philippines where he ended up the vocalist of Slapshock. He used to be called as "AmBoy" short term for American boy. That is the reason why he is good at the rapping pronounciation.
Slapshock’s 1st, 2nd, and even their 3rd(mellowed down a lot but my favorite from them) were my jam almost 2 decades ago. Still listen to these guys every now and then.

Slapshock is Influence sila ng rage againts the machine limp bizkit and korn... they were formed year 1997 and nasa 1st album nila yung agent orange year 1999 and the years passed by their music begun to matured from nu metal to metal band its like a bunch of kids growing up being matured :D
Sad to say the lead vocal of Slapshock just died earlier this Morning.. he committed suicide by Hanging.. REST IN PARADISE JAMIR GARCIA, YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED..
My kuya had this late friend who was the odd ball of the group, and sadly died early due to a sickness... Back in the days he was bragging to them that he was close friends with the members of Slapshock .. as an oddball, they took his words as a long running joke and didn't really believed him haha... During his wake, the whole band payed respect. Turned out he was telling nothing but the truth. Maybe in heaven he was like "Ha! Told you so!" Haha Update: I hope they saw each other in heaven now... RIP Sir Jamir.
