Unbelievably the best and tightest cover of the original. It's a wonder that Slash can do something meaningful, and Billy... well no compromise there. This cover needs more attention... solely for it's value, and Mungo would be proud.
u just proved that u haven't listened to the umpteen versions of this song that have existed for decades. thanku. if u had, u'd know that this is a soul SONG. however, i will agree w/u that trendy stuff to 'contemporize' a classic song, will attract people who like trendy stuff...u'r right there. u'r just unaware that's the reason they and u, like it.
Until new starry eyed players come along....old farts are still the best. Seems like nobody could hold a candle to those oldest farts. And that wont hopefully change for a long while.
Glad to see that after all these years Billy Idol's voice is still as sharp as it was 20+ years before, and that Slash´s fingers havent fallen off :). Don't know why you're even trying to compare these two. Like you're comparing Michael Jordan and Joe DiMaggio. Great song!!!
Well... the tremolo effect is dangerous too a little bit. Slash once bent the neck so hard that it broke, it was like in 96 or 97. And he smacked with the head of the neck to his face and was knocked out for a while and had to go to the hospital for stitching. But his guitar tech repaired his Les Paul later and Slash told that it sounded even better afterwards! :)
derek is playing keyboard. He is an exmember of progressive metal band Dream Theater; over the years he way playing with zakk Wylde, y. malmsteen, Alice Cooper, etc.
