Paul Riario heads out to the Dunlop HQ in California to demo the Dunlop Cry Baby Artist Wah line of pedals. Included in this line are the Slash, Dimebag Darrell and Jerry Cantrell signature wah pedals.
All those options and features on the Dime wah really sells it for me. The big feature that isn't mentioned in this video is the adjustable tension you can change with the supplied hex wrench. I love the sound of my Vox wah but there is zero tension and the pedal moves up and down way too easily. It makes it difficult to do a slow controlled sweep. The Dime wah allows you to make the pedal as stiff or loose as you want it. I recently bought the Dime wah and the Vox is now collecting dust on a shelf.
I bought the Dimebag one cause its the most versatile one sold and every feature on there is useful in some way, the led on off indicator is what really sells these though that should be a standard feature at this point really.
Yeah I’m definitely going for that one too, the JC one sounds awesome but I feel id be too tied down to one style with it. The dime one is so versatile
Rory McCallum ??? Whats with the rage? Btw the word collaborate means to work directly with someone. Dimebags dead, which means he's never even used this pedal before unlike Slash who can play with it while it's being developed and adjust the sound to how he thinks it should sound. I don't care if they slap his name on a pedal to sell more, just pointing out that he doesn't actually have any impact on the products development like the other guitarists do.
i really wana see a kirk hammet vs dime wah metal shred video so im conflicted between which one to get... i had a joe bonamassa wah and it was amazing but broke on me shortly after i got it so i dont wana risk that again
The Dimebag wah sells for almost the same used as it does new whereas the Slash goes for between 1/2 and 1/3rd. That oughtta tell you something. The Cantrell sounds amazing but you can get those tones as well as a lot more from the Dime. If I was going to have a celebrity wah, I'd go for the Dime, but I'd like the Zakk Wylde wrench to adjust how stiff the pedal is too.
the dime wah also has the stifness adjustment, i personally set it a little bit on the loose side, not too much so i can leave it on cooked wah but still rock it fast
So my girl bought me the new colored dime wah for xmas but I really like that jerry one... Can the dime wah really dial a jerry signature tone as well... Like is it trebly like the jerry signature?
They should've showed how these pedals all sound without distortion; this demo does no justice for them. The Dimebag wah can almost achieve what every other Cry-Baby wah does and that is what makes it great. The settings can be a little tricky & confusing at first because there is so much to mix up but just start with all knobs set in the middle (12 O' clock) and work your way from there. You can use it for clean tones or high gain and have it sound awesome (as long as you tweak it accordingly). I recommend it to anyone looking to buy a wah pedal, trust me; you won't need another. But I do plan on getting the Slash & Kirk Hammett pedals at some point. It's just the fan boy inside me Lol
Dimebag wah is exact same as 535Q... Slash wah.. Slash doesn't even use that one bc he hates it.. his other one that looks worn and burnt is the one he uses... and the Cantrell wah is the only unique one. I'd go for the Cantrell.
Almost the same as the 535Q. Except it has an extended range, a third mini dial for fine tuning, a second out jack for signal splitting and I think it has one or two additional voicings notches on the Q dial.
The jc wah is so evil. You can't go wrong with either of these 3 . Fun fact for the Jerry fans. He used the Hendrix wah mostly and used the dime wah. Obviously he modded them to his style. Now he uses his own signature wah.
Distortion effect removes the guitar sound details, I would say it was more convenient to test the 3 wahs with a clean guitar sound. Anyway thank you for sharing.
+ItsJustAPrank[gone sexual] Kurt wasn't known for using a wah as much as Cantrell, Dime, and Slash. Also, I wouldn't say that Kurt was heavier than Dime. And a third point, everything after your comma makes no sense. Good day to you sir.
ItsJustAPrank[gone sexual] Oh thank Lemmy, I was hoping that was a joke. But I conducted myself in a polite manner (save the third point) just in case you were a misguided little munchkin.
the only guitarist i enjoyed listening to while using wah is dimebag, slash and kirk use it for anything, dimebag used it for a purpose please check a song called throes of rejection
