@@kevincrisantemi1891 the guy from adlers appetite can hit them high notes axl cant any more and sounds great - think the band needs to rework a lot of the songs to match his new tone for best effect but I am not a musician as i can't sing and suck at guitar and cant drum for shit but know what pleases my ears.

I hope Slash's next album has a cover of this with Lzzy. The raw live version is fantastic, but sometimes, some studio perfection could make it perfect.
All the way back in '87 I thought it would be awesome for a female belter to cover this song. I had no idea that the greatest of them all would make my wish come true.
Axl in his prime, maybe. Current day Axl wouldn't be able to hang with her AT ALL. Duets should be between two vocalists that are at least in ROUGHLY the same ballpark or one ends up looking silly, and she would absolutely embarass moderen day Axl.

Lzzy is great. I saw Slash in 2012 and Myles Kennedy did most of the vocals, but for this song the bass player, I think he's called Todd, took over the singing and utterly owned it. Appetite is one of my favourite albums ever, but Axl has been outsung for this song by both Lzzy & Todd.
Good lord in heaven, now that's an excellent combination. I love this new Slash/Myles Kennedy Band. Its like an extension of Velvet Revolver. AND he's still doing Alter Bridge, which I like a lot as well.
Whoever her s.o would be, they would frigging lucky as hell! Plus despite being famous and having a hard ass persona to her, she's supposedly very sweet and humble so good for her for maintaining a positive relationship with fame! Also her and Slash hugging at the end was adorable!

Lzzy can pull of some crazy notes too. its like i said all those girls you said are awesome love all these bands but they wouldnt fit this style. i hope these girls will all do a song together some time. that would be epic. i mean Maria brink actualy was a part of a halestorm song (just search halestorm heres to us guest version) in that song she has a line along with other singers. and slash is in it too. need to search a little bit though. there are like 3 or 4 versions of that song.
You may be right. I appreciate the feedback. What I really like about Maria and Layla, vocal-wise, is the range they have. Sometimes its hard to believe there aren't two different people singing.
Anthony Coughlin Slash himself says that this isn't a solo project any more, it's a band, World On Fire is an album from a band Slash is in, obviously he's the main focus of the band but it's a band, not a solo project any more
I lkke lizzy hale, but she may be the 3rd best singer on the stage. Myles Kennedy can sing his ass off and Todd Kearns is pretty good. Check him out with bruce and bob kulick on the kiss cruise.
maria brink is an awesome singer but shes more of a "screamer" she has awesome growls and all but her vocals wouldnt fit. Maria is awesome at Pantera (or other bands like that) songs off. sure layla from picture me broken is awesome too but shes more of the "paramore" voice. she wouldnt fit this song either. well dead sara is awesome but she couldnt pull it of like Lzzy did. Lzzy just has that 80s 70s feel that none of todays rockstars have
