rap groups never work because the whole point of rap is declaring you are the best, the names arn't even credited, this had no shot of working IDK what they were thinking
And rap fans will only stay happy if rappers are struggling at the bottom i swear, yhh this is commercial but personally i think these 4 deserve to make their money alot more than most them other mother fuckers out there
That's because it's a very generic type of pop-rap song. Yes, each own of them is talented on their own right, but when you decide to make pop type of songs you gotta accept that how successful the song will be will depend on how easy the songs sticks into people ears. They tried and they failed, so they learned their lesson and none of them try to make pop-rap anymore, lol.
Nothing scary about it. Obviously lots of people searched it out after the interview, so RU-vid is simply offering a "next logical choice" for people after seeing the interview. That's how finely tuned recommendation logic works :p
Yeah if you listen to Lil Wayne - Right Above It.... you will hear something familiar but it is kinda late tho.. this is where the switch kinda came to the "B.o.B - Strange Clouds" sound and a year later came the whole club era... this could've worked in 2010
It's do dope seeing the 4 of them have fun in the video you can tell they all had a lot of love and respect for one another. A shame that it ended the way that it did but Slaughterhouse is and will always be the greatest rap group to me.
Slaughterhouse seems like a good example of all the necessary ingredients that when mixed together ... somehow didn't work out. The magic is not always easy to capture ... and success sometimes is just down to luck.
How is this a hit? People were not bumping this. It's not a hit materials just cause Cee Lo sings in it and having a 90s hit sample (which sounds corny btw).
@Chandros Evans You're not supposed to sell yourself as the greatest and your artists as beneath you in the first 2 minutes of their video lmao. He should be selling them as the greatest
@Ayman Bouhajja Word it's facts but bad business imo, probably why Eminem never had a really successful artist on Shady, besides 50. Imagine he did this to 50 when he first came out? Lol
@@deeluvdee13 Slim wrote/was on every D12 record and Obie had one album? He was more of a feature artist. Almost every other rapper, who considered in Em's class has multiple successful, known artists. Em is a GOAT but he's like a Jordan owner; amazing player bad manager.
This song had the potential to really blow up big always thought this was guna be the song 2 put slaughterhouse on the national level.... they definitely deserve it... there lyrical content is top 5 in the game
i honestly dont know. i thought it was going to blow up like a ymcmb hit when it was first released. 4 years later and only an extra few million views. very sad. this song is fantastic. maybe the intro is what prevented people from sharing it more. it should have just had a picture of eminem and something like 'Shady presents Slaughterhouse'. not some lame 2 minute intro
i love this. idk why it isn't as famous as other songs. these people need to relive it. pleaseee come to belize im a huge fan of yours i swear😭😭! brings sweet and sad memories.
true talent, this is not on the radio but Drake, Young Thug, Miggos are??????? Krayzie and Bizzy Bone, Method Mad and Redman, Slaughterhouse, Strange Music and many more not on radio but retarded, autouned, monotone ignorant rap is??? I miss 90s and early 2000s rap!!! Tupac, Bone Thugs, Buggy, Wu Tang, Do or Die, Twista.......
Still my shit in 2023, how many years later is it now??! Here because they still unrated as an group yet alone as 4 individuals…. I’m from GEORGIA, the A (YESSS, ATLANTA) AND NOT HERE for the great legendary, CEELO BUT 4 unrated EMCESS. Joey, Royce, Crooked & Ortiz 💕I LOVE MY SOUTHERN ROOTS (BORN & RAISED) BUT I’LL FOREVER LISTEN TO Joey & Slaughterhouse Gang!! ARE YOU IN THE MOOD YET??!
Em is a genius at linking his fans to his old songs or songs that didn´t do well! ( came here after Sway, Em interview) I can only imagine what he has in storage for water gun smelly!!!
After watching part 2 of the EM interview I have to say...I love EM he got me through being bullied at school, but this wasn't it man. You have some of the hardest most dangerous lyricists in boot cut jeans and tims, on an old dance track sample - smiling tryna act likeable with Cee Lo Green ???! Hammer Dance was Slaughter House's pocket. When Joe said it felt like EM didn't know the members very well it makes sense when you see this vid. I believe EM cared and put his all into Slaughterhouse but maybe he was pushing in the wrong direction.
Mike Kyle Fair enough. Its just... he said he was so sure they were going to blow off of this track especially when Cee Lo (who is extremely talented) got on it. Now I remember when this song came out and I hated it, but EM said he was so sure so I had to come back to check it out again (I could have missed something) and it was still bad. Just a thought though if EM thought this was dope, it makes me understand some of his other choices musically. Anyway thats in the past Kamikaze was fire.
@@gobvuu Bc it was supposed to be a hit mainstream single dawg. It was supposed to sound like this and don't forget that Joe and crook and Royce and joell all agreed to do this. They weren't forced.
I can understand now what Eminem said in the Part 2 Interview about this production being too polished. Slaughterhouse went pop, and THAT was their downfall. They should’ve stayed true to the grittiness of the raw hip-hop bars and rhyme schemes.
Damn joey i never saw a man so happy about rapping in a video and getting his verse cut at the same time😂😂🤔😡..... what was that a 8 or a 10? I feel ya man love your podcast...
shyshotcaller27 I know right but really it was because they came at the wrong time I feel like because mumble rap pooped off and then people said this album was way to polished but I loved it because you really see these amounts of lyricists in a group and it’s crazy and then joe got mad that their was no money and said em was getting all the money but that album made no money and then the 2nd album never came out so that’s what happened
@@carlosmartin1970 Yeah you right, if this camed out in the era of blueprint, stillmatic and those 2000s, the group would be considered super lyrical and would be highly respected.
EMinem bragged how lyrical they are ...but dude opens dope ass song with spelling Slaughterhouse and saying Money over coochie???? Da fuck they thinking
This song does not sound like what you'd think slaughterhouse should sound like. I want the raw, mean sounding vocals from these dudes. Those killer vibes
He's never said he was a good rapper idiot, he said lyrically he's the best. His tone, and rap cadence is why he never blew up. But lyrically, no one except Royce comes close.
I don't know why people are hating 1 beat is good 2 most of the people hating can't rap or just don't understand how lyrics are used 3 They honestly think it's trash and they do know what their talking about 4 They don't realize it was 2012 back then stuff was pretty straight forward but catchy.
@@dbog5214 I know that, he could have found better ways to make them bigger. Like going on tour and letting them open for him or even shouting them out on interviews or even a shorter intro video that was about them.
all the people who are hating on this song need to stop. EVERY artist has to have a radio HIT so people can hear them and there albums will sell more. if you don't have a radio hit then your just pretty much underground. if your an underground artist then you wont get anywhere in the game. the stuff slaughterhouse was putting out wouldn't get played on the radio so they had to make one that will get played in this day and age. its called BUSINESS. like I said EVERY ARTIST has at least one radio hit.
