Great to see Jorbs enjoy this so much in multiplayer! I have been playing this a lot and playing this solo just doesn't compare to the complexity of multiplayer games. Can't wait to see 12 hours playthroughs of Jorbs piloting all four characters. Small pointers about drafting: 1. if your card reward has two of the same common, you replace one of the two; 2. after each act you shuffle your common/uncommon rewards deck (not your rares).
Where does it say that in the rulebook for your first point? I don't see it anywhere. That's just a house rule, if you want to play it that way however.
Note: This is from a completionist. Full collection, A20 all four characters. [And crafting this comment while watching]. I love how the art and names are the same but are mechanically designed for board game instead. And Daily Climb & Ascension for the game! Co-op Spire is so interesting to watch. It'd probably be a mess but I'm curious how a full 4 player game would play out. 3 potions per character also seems really good. And EVERYONE gets relics and no relic restrictions. It also feels like an extremely smooth transition between mediums. Engagement I think this would make a good long game (or whatever the board game series is called). Builds: Defect - Power/Lighting (Storm build). Watcher - Wrath +Strength. Silent - 0 Cost attacks. Ironclad - Corruption + Dead branch (Just keep going) Bosses: Act 1: On high ascension I find the Hexaghost the hardest as most of the time double the burn clog up your deck before you can defeat him. Act 2: The collector, as he respawns minions. Robot starts with Artifact but most builds favor massive damage to a single target. Act 3: It heavily depends on your build but you're usually set in your strategy before the act, but Time (Profanity) as I name him wrecks infinite combo decks and Bird can wreck power builds if you don't finish immediately.
I think I can agree with the other comments. I used to just listen to VODs on my drive to work. Now that I don't have the same commute I can listen in the morning while I game or get projects worked on! a Long Game campaign of this would be awesome
My favorite build is The Wastrel with Moxie and Drinking to amass ungodly amounts of Empty Bottles. ...I should probably also mention that I painstakingly created a mod that ports Griftlands characters to Slay the Spire... But for real, while I probably have a higher win rate as a poison Silent, my *favorite* build is just endless orb overflow as Defect.
This feels like a super repalyable version of Aeons End Legacy with a lot of the mechanics between, but just seeing it I think I prefer slay over AE. I’d love a true campaign/legacy version
This comment is being made early on. Am I missing something? They keep saying Vulnerable is double damage, but I'm pretty sure it just adds +1 to every instance of damage. Still good with multihits, but not great for single giant hits in the boardgame, unlike the videogame. Edit: Apparently, looking at the companion app, I am wrong. I swear I read it in the rulebook as +1 to every hit, but I probably just read it wrong.
@@iPhailepically I definitely wasn't, lol. I played through all three acts over multiple days with someone else, treating vulnerable as +1 to every hit on the next attack. Edit: Looking at it, maybe it's because weak is right below vulnerable, I combined them when reading them??
Weak and vulnerable also cancel each other But I was making them weak before doubling their damage, which is not correct Lots of mistakes to be made :)
