23:46 this is poorly worded if it means add two cards because it specifically says to add two “card rewards” which means you draw 6 cards and choose 2 of those 6 but you also can’t skip. That’s what the phrase “card rewards” means. So this was not correct and I figured I’d say something so that if you ever encounter it again you can play it properly and enjoy your card reward a little more from this event.
Great playthrough to watch! But just a heads up for future games--Elites are always in the bottom row and aren't counted as being in the top row. Only Bosses count as being in all rows. (Page 11 of the rulebook). Important for when dropping AOE!
I saw on Boardgame Geek that the designer ruled that the Sozu relic would prevent a player gaining a potion even from another player. So I would think the same would apply to the relic that keeps you from gaining gold. Being given it by another player counts as gaining it, which your relic prevents.
Fortunately, that's incorrect. The wording in the rulebook is: "You can use your gold to pay for any amount of another player’s purchase at a Merchant or Event." You are never giving another player gold, you are contributing towards the cost - Ectoplasm does not prevent that.
