lets be honest slayer are slayer they are awesome but megadeth are far superior in every case their songs are just too op and i am refering to the difficulty of their songs i am playing the guitar for 1 year and i ve learnt raining blood but a megadeth song needs far for talent and time to learn.... every megadeth song
I think it was a child, not a chick. Just my opinion. Gein never actually kidnapped anyone, just shot a couple ladies and stole corpses from the cemetery. He did babysit though. lol.
I see people talk all the time on the internet about things being "underrated". Where do you perceive this rating system? In what sense do you mean this album is underrated? Like obviously we're talking about one of the most successful thrash metal bands of all time, and this album is cherished as one of the most classic. You know what I mean? It's one of the most beloved albums by one of the most beloved thrash metal bands of all time. In what sense do you mean it's underrated?
@@suicidaldaydreams2256there is just a never-ending avalanche of people on the internet wildly misusing the word "underrated". It goes way beyond misuse of a word; It seems like there is a desperate desire people have to be seen as cleverly observing the value in something that others have missed. Maybe it's a product of people perceiving in Internet culture that too often the things they love are loved by a lot of other people and so it decreases the value of the thing they love, in their eyes? So they need to feel like they are loving something that other people missed? I'm really trying to open up my heart on this and understand it because I find myself continually annoyed by people looking at a classic recording by one of the most wildly successful thrash metal bands of all time and saying it's "underrated". YEAH GOOD POINT. IT'S JUST SOMETHING THAT THOUSANDS OF FANS SCREAM WILDLY ABOUT WHENEVER THEY HEAR IT IN A HUGE STADIUM SHOW
Agreed. Quite possibly one of the greatest metal bands to touch earth but this album didn't get the credit it deserved. Still one of my go-to albums🤘🤘🤘
I saw slayer during their relentless tour in 2016. I took acid before the show. One of the most intense things I’ve ever witnessed. When slayer was about to come on stage a giant fiery cross was on the wall of the stage and slowly turned upside down. When they were playing I saw these blue vein like lights coming out from the arms they were strumming with. I asked my girl if she could see it but she couldn’t. Crazy that slayer is actually Christian
There's a huge amount of extremely brutal source material to draw from involving Christianity. The Old Testament in particular is metal as fuck, what with the wrath of God and all that.
When you finally see that they are Christian, it actually makes sense because when you think about it, it takes a Christian perspective to truly understand how frightening the devil is. To people who are into evil, the devil is a cuddly little bunny, you know what I mean? When you reframe how you look at Slayer, you see that they are talking about evil not out of admiration or advocacy but as a warning
I actually had a dream about having a girlfriend zombie where we would make out she would end up spitting out maggots down my throat. I woke up after the kissing and maggots and ended up chocking on a spider. Later that day I was watching necrophiliac by slayer live and he said “the best part about eating them out is the maggots crunching in your teeth”. Slayer controls everything now
i prefer south of heaven for workouts? but different strokes for different folks, lol... nothing so "relaxing"? as pure, naked, aggression. (the relaxation? comes later, after the "come down" of the rush...heh heh)
obviously you guys havent grown with slayer.....ive never missed one album they are integrated into my mind processing like a drug that helps me work out and process think...keep rocking
Remember that time Slayer came to my house. We had kegs booze and strippers. The night was capped off with in house fireworks. The neighbors loved it so did the police they even stopped by. Fun was had by all. Hot cocoa and blankets were handed to the others
Ghost Of War was my favorite before. But the sound, content, and chorus with the background really signify SLAYER'S technical ability. Along with that...They have definitely captured a mind set relayed by the serial killers of the 80's and 90's. Those we know of any how....
mason cornwall why are you listening to slayer pastor?... brothers if someone is caught in sin you who are spiritual must restore your brother gently...but watch yourself or you may also be tempted...
Who here is over 35 and remembers when Slayer was the cool thing to listen to because nobody knew who they were and they made your life more bearable? Who is here because your Dad listens to Slayer, but you have no clue what they're talking about, you just listen to them because they have a badass sound and Dad listens to them?
These beginning lyrics have been on my table since the day you told me to write them . I'll never ever stop loving you Satan ! Thank you for biting me back to life!! Love , Lileth Sellers
PATRICK BATEMAN: Do you know what Ed Gein said about women? DAVID VAN PATTEN: Ed Gein, the maitre 'd at Canal Bar? PATRICK BATEMAN: No, serial killer, Wisconsin, the '50s. CRAIG MCDERMOTT: So what did he say? PATRICK BATEMAN: "When I see a pretty girl walking down the street, I think two things. One part wants me to take her out, talk to her, be real nice and sweet and treat her right." DAVID VAN PATTEN: And what did the other part think? PATRICK BATEMAN: "What her head would look like on a stick!" [laughs]
roommate: dude what are you up to?? wanna grab a bite later?? me: do you mean a bite from whom?? that bitch a cross the street?? she things she's the shit! roommate: wtf? me: nothing I have to return some video tapes. roommate: dude you don't have a vhs?! me:ehhh... you just Killed the moment...
Now...I'm gonna have nightmares about Leatherface. This song reminds me of that cult classic fucker, even though its actually based on a real guy who does what Leatherface does, minus the plot of those movies and more on the killing. :(
I remember once I was listening to this in school (it was a lesson before out GCSE speaking and listening and the teacher let us listen to music while putting the finishing touches on the PowerPoint before putting us all in separate rooms to practise) when my teacher heard me listening to this k got the usual reaction of "normal people done listen to this" and I said "since when have I been a 'normal' person the teachers face was priceless she just walked off
Yes Angel of Death is about a Nazi scientist who preformed experiments on people and made blood transfusions possible and the song 213 is about Jeffery Dahmer the Milwauke canniba
@PatraThanos It's a refrence to Ed Gein who was the inspiration for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for his infamous ways of graverobbing freshly buried corpses and making things out of the skin such as furniture, clothes, etc. This song is pretty much based around this.
