My husband introduced me to Slayer when we first started dating in '99 (I'd heard them before but never really listened to them.) We ended up taking our oldest son to see them live when he was 9 bc we wanted his 1st concert to be memorable. Unfortunately, my husband passed away from cancer 2 years ago at 44 so I understand the feeling of loss... After nearly 23 years together, I find solace in listening to Slayer bc it makes me remember great times with him. It also helps that our youngest son has loved Raining Blood since he was a baby. He's 6 now and he'll stop whatever he's doing as soon as he hears the opening of the song so he can rock out... His daddy would be so proud!
LOL. Just browsing youtube at work and I completely had to make a new account on the spot and sign on to agree with Wumbo, and to remind these pathetic juggalos how gay they are. LOL. Bra, do you even lift? I mean more than your own lil ding dong 5 times a day to your sick lil abused victim hatchet music. I know how you types roll. LOL. Nooo there's no one talking about killing their highschool bullies with a hatchet, yo. I'll tell ya though, I dont think that falls into "Child's" or "Adult" music, more so somewhere with emo arm cutters and dog molesters. LOL. GO SLAYER.
+Ticci Toby Nope i remember 9 stitches in the forehead and a security guards boot tread pattern on my face for a week damn well though.1986 --- . Guitar hero mahahahahahlol no disrepect just funny how folks relate to slayer.
Fun fact! While Slayer is exceptionally heavy and very extreme with their tone, they are in fact a thrash metal band. There, thats something you know now!
Man, Slayer was the band that really got me into extreme metal and I always loved listening to Jeff's solos. I loved watching slayer interviews and such and when I heard Jeff died my whole day went to shit. This is really sad. Rest in Peace Jeff. You're a fucking legend.
In thrash metal? For sure. In metal overall? Nah, the whole death and black subgenres, funeral and death-doom, also the early gothic metal entries which were growl-dominated... all of these are heavier.
im a short girl and i LOVE slayer ever since i was 15 and i dont even remember how i started listening to them all i know is they changed my life for ever! ROMF!!!
well, gunna be honest with you all, for its time, slayer was considered pretty damn heavy. also, if you don't like a song/video, do you really need to let the world know?
We use to listen to this before football games, I was a tail back, after hearing slayer I would want to punish anyone trying to tackle I could usually have gotten more yards, but I liked inflicting punishment on the other team. 25 years later this song gets me pumped wanting to fuq sh1t up!
Brandon Heinrich through the fire and flames hard 98% dwdtg never did because didnt download it sadly raining blood like 75% i could barely do raining blood but through the fire and flames is more muscle memory and raining blood is reaction time and endurance
I've listened to metallica, megadeth, pantera, some anthrax and many other good bands but slayer..... They just are not for me. I decided to try them out recently but I just can't get into it. The instrumentals are great but the lyrics.....
