@@isaiahvoorhees1096 america has been attacking the middle east on a daily basis for 50 years +, millions of civilians died for nothing, sure 9/11 was gruesome but so is the whole us foreign policy
Like "Angel of Death," this song is written from a first-person or third person perspective. Through the eyes of the perpetrator, for which Slayer has been repeatedly criticized. Indeed as a young man aged 16, I believed Slayer were celebrating the subjects of their art, though as I got older I realized Slayer were just illustrating and highlighting the wrongfulness of the abhorrent actions of humans.
the song isn't dedicated to Jihad, they are more less trying to sing it in the jihad point of view. The extremist call Americans the great Satan. hope this clears it up for you..
Eric Jones got that right. Jeff actually wrote this song, and it’s well documented that he wanted to write this song using the terrorists point of view. I miss Jeff
Slayer had this ability to be lyrically punchy with almost a rap like flow to it, albeit nothing like rap, Araya knew how to be almost percussive with his lyrics in the same way James Hatfield has a percussive down pick to accompany the drums.
My friends hate this song and get offended by this but this song does really show the mentality of these radicals who use religion in name of war (specifically muslim radicals) i dont know why WE muslims get offended by this it really highlights the twisted versions of religon these terrorists have.
Every summer my brother would go to basketball camp and since I was not athletic at all and played guitar, they sent me to church camp. I would take my cassettes of Black Sabbath, Slayer, etc. and disguise them in some cassette sleeves that my uncle had of gospel music. Every morning after breakfast we would all go out to the big yard and sit in the grass and have an hour of Bible study. I was using that hour to listen to my Walkman and jam and I would try to figure out the lyrics and transcribe the guitar parts. It looked like I was hard at study, and I was! lol At the end of the camp they would show a compilation video of each student and what they were known for. I never forgot the image of me coming up on the slide show and the caption "and here is a future scribe hard at work studying the Bible" and there's my fat ass transcribing Jihad from Slayer. Fucking hell, it was fabulous.
Slayer is a such a misunderstood band. People looking in from the outside think they promote violence, satanism, or that they're nazi sympathizers etc. What people don't actually get is that Slayer is only making songs about real things that happen in the world. They just happen to be about all the fucked up shit that horrible people do. Now that's real irony for you.
Remembered the song for the riff, stayed for the lyrics. Contemplate life on the other side of the fence. It might sound like this. I think he wrote the lyrics from a news report reading a terrorist handbook or something like that. Perspective. Jarring. Makes sense.
Actually it's about terrorism and specifically, the terrorist manual that Tom heard about and directly quotes at the end of the song. Source - Tom's mouth.
throw back to when i was 14 and in english class and the teacher let us each play a song to analyze the lyrics of. i chose this song and it didnt get past the first minute XD
Kids deserve more power. They would be more confident and willing to help if they dropped all the paper weight. It’s literally trash now. All those packets. In a land fill or stuffed in a box somewhere. The average adult struggles cutting veggies. We devolved back into worm’s because of their oppressive environment
Theological debates dont get much deeper than those on a Slayer video, this is where philosophers come to seek out the knowledge of the great sages of RU-vid's darker metal side. Truly, no brain can fully grasp the massive comprehension of religious principles which you will read in the comments bellow. Enlightenment awaits you.
@Helle Fyre Islamic leaders are the Prophet Jesus and the Mahdi Priest, and will destroy the followers of the Antichrist, namely, HAARP, NASA, JEWS, ROSTCHILD etc.
I feel if this song came out today in 2021 they would try to cancel SLAYER everyone bitches about everything, in the words of Kerry King " If it offends you don't pay attention to it "
I usually listen to nothing but Slayer on 9/11. I always start with something from "God Hates Us All," and make sure to play "Jihad" at some point during the day. 🎵
Revelation 21:8 literally says that if you choose to disbelieve in God, you will go to hell unless you confess your sins and turn yourself into Christianity. Make the one thing that takes all their power away a sin : not believing them. Genius and twisted while veiled with the words of love. Think for yourselves and be good people because you don't need a religion to be a good person. Prove them wrong.
Seen slayer with slip knot and all these other bands. I think slayer was better then slipknot. My opinion and I will not change it. 40 foot upside down crosses on fire!!! Phoenix,az I think it was year 2010 . Drank a 5th before I entered and well.... u could imagine what that was like. Heehee
“Therefore, when ye meet the unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah’s Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost.”
because we muslim's were told in the holly quran that suicide is illegal , and we can't just kill our self"s as you say..!! allah loves all of us , it's your choice to believe it or not..!! so we wait for the day that's meant for us to die , then w meet allah.!!
I've always liked this song due to it's breakdown in the second part and it's tackling of religious extremism. The use of more western references of God connects it more to me and shows more how trash it is all around.
Tanzeel No one wants your shitty land, we want your resources and your economy to be unstable so we can buy shit at surplus prices, we destabilized the middle East than bought out most of it. I'm not even American but that's what they did they did it to my people once a long time ago, I'm native I'm from Canada.
For everyone who doesn't know the spoken part at the end is taken from a note that Mohammed Otma (one of the guys who flew one of the planes into the twin towers) left behind.
No Brother No The Quraan Doesn't Say That If You Are Christian Or Jewish And You Don't Convert To Islam Is Not Problem We Are Brothers Allah Has The Right To Judge Us.
It says it multiple times to kill the non believer did you even read that satanic book? Full of nothing but murder greed and pedophilia. Islam is evil truly evil.
jihad and thinking in the same sentence....hmm unlikely, read about sheep and miracles in whichever holy book you see fit, the rest of us will evolve as your mind rots!
