I think out of all the Indian youngsters, Pragg is the most mentally strong player. When other youngsters fumble to face a player like Magnus Carlsen, Pragg faces him without fear. That’s the difference. Yes, he lost the World Cup to Magnus but who wouldn’t? But Pragg’s tenacity is incredible.
Exactly! I mean Gukesh and Vidit both are amazing player as well but what I noticed that they lack the confidence sometimes which is not a good sign.........
These younger players are strong. And there's a reason magnus ran from his defending his title. They would eventually take their turn in beating him until he becomes like these older GMs Why did magnus run? Bobby Fischer said it best. The fear of losing.
This September 2017 was the earliest I could find from when Pragg became the youngest ever IM. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BL1D09auURU.htmlsi=dgxD0gDjS40PT358
Last time when prag defeated ding he was rated 2684 and ding was 2811 and now you can see the difference is only 37 elo points. And that to in just 11 months. kudos to prag🎉
When the pandemic ended, i stopped frequenting this channel. But im proud to say that i was an early Pragg bandwagoner and its great to see my hopes and suspicions about him(as well as Sarin) come true. Hes a formidable, champion level player.
#suggestion Wei Yi just played an insane game versus Parham. That game was really entertaining, especially when he made a brave move within 1 minute. Please cover that exciting game.
Prag is a monster. He can beat any player in this world. My only problem with him is that he's not consistent enough. He always gets 2 or 3rd place in tournaments where he can easily beat any player in the world. But his game is growing day by day. He will have a huge say in the candidate. Be ready ding he is coming for the world champion's title.
That's the problem with all the Indian youngsters. They play well but unable to win tournaments. Imo they are growing with experience. May be in 1-2 years, we'll see them winning super tournaments.
Why Pragg win with black pieces is special--- *White on average beats Black in 55 percent of them (Elo ratings of 2100 or above), but for elite players (Elo ratings of 2700 or above), the winning percentage is 64 percent.*
Mathematically, White has a slight advantage in the opening. The game could end in a loss or a draw for Black like in tic tac toe but chess is a complex game, it is not solved yet by computers.
Ding's horse dance in this game reminded me of game 2 from the Ding/Nepo World Championship, when Ding inexplicably moved his Bishop 3 times losing 3 tempi and, subsequently, the game.
Legends say that when the first ever chess match happened in the B4 era, after White went 1. e4, a faint voice from the future was heard saying: "It is as of move 1 that we have a completely new game"
Win a pawn, trade queens and grind the end game. Seems like a gm strategy to beat less experienced players but getting better of a World Champ is something else.
Magnus has successfully used this strategy against the strongest opponents. (Think e.g. Nepo's first loss in the WCC.) Praggu just so much resembles him in this. And in his lack of fear too!
Pragg inspires me and depresses me at the same time...the kind of work he has put in over the last 10 years to be this good especially in blindfold calculation makes me stick to my lane...
Pathetic to compare everyone with Hans, out of nowhere you brought up thinking how Hans would be jealous. If you saw his videos of him admitting that he wants to improve his chess, you wouldn't be saying shift like this. If you hate Hans or any other player in fact, that’s fine. Keep it to yourself, don't spread it.
@@mountains_beaches98We're not making fun of Hans because he's a bad player or anything. We're making fun of him because he's a f'ing liar, bad jokes are the only thing he really deserves.
Easier said than done. Me, I admire Pragg because securing and converting an advantage that minuscule reveals world class patience and the highest discipline. Only an exclusive class can do that routinely.
Cheers for the video, mate! Always want to understand what Praggnanandhaa does do well but obviously it's way above my level 😂 Hopefully can understand if you keep making great videos like this!
3rd: PLEASE agad it's been 4 months! 2023 USCC - Atousa almost beat Carissa Yip, the eventual winner! Carissa was losing most of the game. Atousa just blundered in the end. It's Hikaru's WIFE vs Wesley's GIRLFRIEND. #suggestion #womeninchess #uschesschamps #uschess #uschesschamp #uscc
Hopefully for Ding this was just rust. It was accurate play by Pragg who capitalised on Ding's mistakes and fully deserved to win, but this shouldn't have been a difficult defense for a top player.
What a game and great narration by Agadmator. Can anyone explain difference between GothamChess and Agadmator in terms of their quality of content, quality of talking, quality of analyzing games and dedication to chess etc
Was ding in time trouble at all in this game like when he made those few inaccuracies in the end game? Congrats to prag. Super strong and solid. Especially for such a young player.
4th: Hans Niemann = next Bobby Fischer - Wesley So = current Bobby Fischer - Bobby Fischer's ghost = old Bobby Fischer - Beth Harmon = Bobby Fischer in another universe Each of these 4 'is a prodigy, had a rather dark childhood and is American'. Speaking of Wesley So Hikaru's (the rapid WFRCC) wife almost beat Wesley So's (the classical WFRCC) girlfriend! 2023 USCC - Indeed Carissa Yip won and thanked Wesley So as her secret second in the 2023 USCC closing ceremony speech. But in Carissa vs Atousa, Carissa was losing most of the game. Atousa just blundered in the end. move 54 for black is an 8-move equality puzzle it's so sharp [Variant "From Position"] [FEN "1Q5k/3r1rn1/p3N3/Pp1p2P1/1q2p3/1B2R2P/5P2/6K1 b"] 1... Kh7 2. g6+ Kxg6 3. Rg3+ Kf6 4. Nxg7 Rxg7 5. Qf4+ Ke6 6. Qh6+ Kf5 7. Rxg7 Rxg7+ 8. Qxg7 Qxb3 PS xcdhgq #suggestion #womeninchess #uschesschamps #uschess #uschesschamp #uscc
Ding lost the tempo twice in the beginning and failed to see pawn to b5, playing knight instead losing another tempo. But ig it’s easier for me to say in a RU-vid comment section while watching the match reply. Let’s hope he bounces back stronger. Sometimes Ding just gets in his own head sometimes which costs him games.
Alright heres my wild theory Magnus is hoping hikaru will win the world championship off of ding, so that afterwards magnus can come back, defeat hikaru, take the title back, and psychologically and emotionally obliterate hikaru. And why? Mostly for the memes but also magnus seems to enjoy expressing his dominance over big hickey in an almost sadistic way. Im rooting for this future
I love games with crazy attacks in the middlegame, complicated positions, tactics.. Games which get decided in the endgame being one pawn up are not that much fun to play or watch.
Ding previously said that he has to overcome a lot of thoughts in his mind .. he will take some time to deliver his best as happened in candidates 2022, world champion ship 2023,..yes not in good shape as of now
A lot like a game I’m playing vs an IM his ELO is 2300 mines a measley 1188 but it came down to two knights vs two knights and pawns now it’s knight vs knight and pawns he’s probably going to pull a Pragg on me but I did ok considering
These kind of games are reminders that there is no one like Magnus And yes I know Pragg has beaten him before, but such imprecision is so unlikely from Magnus; he’s missed from Wijk and as the classical world champion Fabi is probably my favourite to be world champion now with his current form
Like the last game he was trying the same...playing on opponent's time and make the opponent blunder when in time trouble, but it didnt went his way 😂, blud himself made some inaccuracies and went on to lose the game😂
