In my school we had, unfortunately, only one year of German (I mean, you could have had more, but you had to resign from English then :-( ), now im working too much to really learn anything, but I'm hoping one day to learn German!
I’m a Brit who’s trying to learn German but I’m finding it so hard because of the multiple ways to say “the” such as der, die and das can sometimes be used completely random depending on what words you use.
My family from America would blast Rammstein! My Mom who spoke no German would blast Rammstein as she took me to school in the mid 2000s. I'm 26 now and miss her everyday. She loved the German language. I would teach her words as I came home from school. RIP

"Sie ist der hellste Stern von allen" is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. I love it's actual meaning. And just the way it's spoken. I have said it for to my love for years.
That's always been my favorite line of the song too! I've also loved the lyric, "Morgenstern ach scheine auf die Liebste meine" from their song Morgenstern for it's similar feeling.

It was such a banger though they decided to release it to all of us and I'm glad they did 🤘
Honestly what I love about this song is that it’s so vague and poetic, you can basically put any meaning you want. I know technically it was originally for a kickboxer, but this song could be interpreted in so many ways. I’ve heard Snow White, a god, loving an addict, or just the literal sun. Till is from Saxony, so maybe his dialect also rolls the R due to the Saxon influence - in Old English (spoken by the Anglo-Saxons in what is now England and Southeast Scotland), the R was also rolled (although in modern English the R is obviously generally not rolled).

I am taking German right now and that's supposedly the "correct" way to pronounce it. However the pronunciation for any language can be obnoxious sometimes lol.
Some other Germanic languages like Icelandic and some dialects of Scandinavian languages roll their Rs very heavily. I think it just makes the music sound cooler and more aggressive when used in a metal context.

Rammstein is the reason I chose Deutsch over French in school. Their music is spring music for me. I started listening to them when it was spring and now I listen to them every year at that time. Been a fan for 10 years now, seen them live once. They inspired me to make lot of art work about them in high school, and I got perfect grades on every art course, so I want to thank them for that as well. Magnificent band!
Im a 43 yr old Black guy and recently started listening to rock n stuff and this even though its in German and dont understand the language but I can appreciate the guitar riffs, the bass, and the drum beats. This is epic.

I'm just a young guy who want to learn German because in the next months I'm going to travel Germany, as you can see my English is upper intermediate and also I'm from Colombia, which my mother language is Spanish. My point are that you not give up if you try learn any language, it's awesome and fantastic learn everyday language and improve as fast as you can, practice everyday and be constant and the most important thing is trust yourself! I can speak Spanish, English und ein bisschen Deutsch, weil will ich in Deutschland reisen und geben für meine Familie das Besten des Lebens!
As a person who knows more Klingon than German, I can honestly say I love and appreciate the music of Rammstein. I wish there was more English translations because I'd love to know what the words mean. I think Sonne means the sun, sol, therefore it has something to do with the sun and the light from it, but I might be totally wrong LOL.

Theres an english version of the song "Amerika." I personally dont care much for it. Sounds a little goofy when translated into english to me, but i really appreciate that they did a song in english.
