Slayer has a few others: Dead skin mask(it’s about serial killer Ed Gein Hannibal Lecter based on him), bloodline, seasons in the abyss, south of heaven.
agreed . older SLAYER had a deep groove to there thrash style of metal more so then there newer stuff the first 4 albums have always been there very best . Seasons ,south of heaven . dead skin mask .oldies but goodies .
SLAYER are and will ALWAYS be the fucking kings of thrash and metal period to me!!Jeff Hanneman was a pure Genius and after he passed SLAYER did as well!!Yes I believe he was happy his buddy Gary stepped in but at the same time them touring without him is why he drank himself to death!!His wife Kathy talked about it in an interview from Guitar World I bought that was tribute to him!!She said he drank from the moment he woke up until he went to bed!!So sad Jeff had to watch his baby on tour and couldn't play good enough!!
Seeing Slayer live 3 years ago was a life altering event. I've been a Slayer fan for about 30 years but never got the chance to see them live. I thank my 2 kids for quite possibly the best Fathers Day present ever.
I saw them in Orlando near the beginning of the final tour. They had Testament, Lamb of God, Anthrax and Behemoth. 3 iconic thrash metal bands just blew my mind. The other bands were just icing on the cake. My all time favorite Slayer song is Ghosts of War. My all time favorite Testament song is Souls of Black. My all time favorite Anthrax song is Caught in a Mosh.
My Ex-husband was a huge Slayer fan. This reminds me of the music blaring in the car with the windows down during road trips. It's not really my cup of tea...but brings back some very good memories. RIP my friend.
My favorite Kerry King quote is him responding to Lars Ulrich criticizing Slayer for staying the same and “painting themselves into a corner”, Kerry’s response was “this is the coolest corner I’ve ever been in”
Dave Lombardo and Paul Bostaph are a beast on drums ,Jeff Hanneman (RIP),Kerry King,Tom Araya slayed .. Slayer was a force to be reckoned with in the '80s and beyond🔥 Dope shirt Jamal!
@@scottbegonias313 misspelt one letter? You left out one of the most important members ever to grace the world of thrash metal. You get the fuck outta here dickwad
@@scottbegonias313 and for correction purposes you misspelled a word. You can't misspell a letter. That's the only negative thing on this thread. Not my comments.
On their final tour this was the opening song. I remember looking at the person next to me at the show, both of us sweating and breathing super hard, and saying "We're in trouble. That was just the first one!" My neck and upper back hurt for two weeks after that show from headbanging as if I'd die if I stopped. Totally worth it.
Most heavy metal acts with lyrics like this like to point out that no one has a problem watching fictional movies with themes like these, and that their lyrical content is meant to be viewed as the musical version of a horror movie, not as actions that they necessarily have taken, want to take, or advocate others taking. In other words, it's art.
I'm listening metal, trash, death and black metal since 1985, well since I can remember i never heard something so brutal, damn this is a fucking kick in the ass, so much intensity. I love Slayer
Hell. Yes. SLAYER is no joke. Last time I saw them was at Chicago Open Air. They played the second stage on an Asphalt parking lot. The second this song broke open dude in front of me got dropped and broke his leg. That’s SLAYER for ya.
Im an "old" metal-head and Ive seen just about every metal band you can imagine live...but the Slayer show crowds have an intensity that is unmatched. I dont care what band it is. You could feel the difference at a Slayer show.
@@ABoyd1852 There is an energy in the crowd that's for sure. I sure miss the day's of going to see a show where everyone isn't holding up a camera phone and they were actually into the show.
MY FRIEND MICHAEL BECK INTRODUCED ME TO THIS BAND IN J.R. HIGH AND ME FOR EXCHANGE I TAUGHT ALOT OF GREAT BAND EN ESPAÑOL NOW WE BOTH SHARE SO MUCH SIMILAR MUSIC GREAT REACTION JAMEL_AKA_JAMAL ✌& LO💚E
On that prison block is Derek Mears (Jason from the Friday the 13th reboot) and Tyler Mane (Michael Myers from Rob Zombies Halloween flicks). Toss in Danny Trejo, just because, and this song is truly badass. Probably why I’ve had Slayer songs on my workout playlists ever since I bought my first iPod.
Slayer is great because they have never changed. The way the video portrayed them was pretty ingenious in the way the made them an invisible instigator. I love Slayer and really hard music in general because they give me an out let that normally frightens people when you reveal that you have aggressive thoughts.
If I remember correctly, this video was shot at Pelican Bay State Penitentiary. Also, good news(depending on your perspective, of course): This is Part 1 of a video trilogy, the other 2 being "You Against You" and "Pride in Prejudice." And yes, the other 2 are just as brutal as this one.
Something I will always, always regret is never seeing Slayer live. I did meet Tom Araya and Jeff Hanneman (R.I.P.) and have to say they were both great guys to spend time with. I'd love to see your reaction to the Slayer song "Eyes of the Insane". The song on its own hits the spot but the video has to be one of the greatest ever made. Also please react to "1916" by Motorhead, simply - one of the greatest songs ever made. The first time I heard it I was left speechless such was the impact it had on me.
the look on your face at the end! Oh my goodness. Been waiting for you to get back to some Slayer for a long time. I would recommend material from their first five albums or so though.
Starring: Tony Moran (Original Michael Myers) Tyler Mane ( Michael Myers in 2007) Danny Trejo ( Machete / From Dusk till dawn) Derek Mears (Predators / Friday the 13th) Loads of horror guys in it!
LOL I love Slayer! Got to see them live once. They were with Megadeth Anthrax and Alice in Chains. Their manager messed that up though. They were on during the day and it was an outside venue. They had all their fog machines running so you couldn't even see the band LOL. But great reaction! The video of brutal LOL
Check out Gojira! The drummer is ridiculous. Heaviest matter in the universe, esoteric surgery and toxic garbage island are three awesome songs. They’re environmentalists and awesome musicians. It’s the metal version of Rush
Toxic Garbage Island is a great one. Went to a Slipknot concert just to see Gojira, and you could tell who the Gojira fans in the crowd were because when they played Toxic Garbage Island, we were all yelling "PLASTIC BAG IN THE SEA!!!!!" lol
SLAYER is my religion! Saw their second to last show in Vegas, my 13th SLAYER show ever and I’ve never felt the slightest bit cheated by any of their live shows. Just a reminder - SLAYER retired, the world went into lockdown shortly thereafter. Coincidence? Not sure. Love the reaction. Cant get enough of this song!
Yay! I am a huge Slayer fan and I stopped everything and got ready for this one. I really want to see how he reacts. I love Jamel, he doesn't seem like a slayer fan but OK (gets chips and snuggles in.)
So the tall bald guy without the goatee is Derek Mears. He played Jason Voorhees in the 2009 Friday the 13th remake. The taller bald guy with the goatee is Tyler Mane. He Played Michael Myers I'm the 2007 Halloween remake
This song / video is part 2 of the 3 part series. Check out "Me Against Me" Part 1 of the series. You will see how the guy went to jail and his motivation to kill. Then part 3 "Pride in Prejudice". He gets taken from prison and well..... You have to see it.
Part of the video trilogy, this was by far the fastest song of the three. If I remember correctly the order is supposed to go “You Against You” then “Repentless” finally finishing off the death to Nazi’s moral with “Pride and Prejudice ”. It’s a good story, but it’s gory as hell. Fun fact, the skin-head/Arian brotherhood/ Nazi at the end that was decapitated by our hero pirate actually played Jason Vorhees in the last Friday the 13th movie. The bald headed guy, not the guy with the eye patch.
The only time I heard this song, was on the Final Tour, where they opened with it.-yes the show where the guy got kicked out, swam back, ended up on a beer can. Much latter day Slayer.
