friend of mine put me on to these guys a while ago,not stopped listening to them since. fucking brilliant!.....once again Nottingham spits out some massive talent!
Found them through Alan Moore apparently being a fan and sharing that on a playlist he shared on a radio station recently. Real gritty working class honest music. badass. Reminds me of a UK version of Listener Project // Dan Smith.
In response to what he said at the end I reckon there's a a big hunger for artists that counter the status quo e.g Alex Turner. People want something real, undiluted, raw and in my opinion Sleaford Mods deliver just that.

This man is talented and a poet. His rants are brilliant but he's basically a good, decent bloke. Now I'm wondering 'how the f*ck does he remember all the lyrics?' Can't see him doing the rock star thing and using an autocue :-)
Youre pleasantly wrong there mate, matey from the artic monkeys does have some lyrics in him for someone his age but seriously mate, nothing can touch you at the moment in my opinion for what its worth. On my playlist I mix them with crass which again in my opinion was the last band to have such a strong individual presence. Said it on other threads but would love to have a beer with them, and don't forget andy, that boys got a lot to say! Most interesting thing on the music circuit that I know about a the moment. And as predicted, off stage they are regular fellas, articulate and interesting. (Removes toungue from anus) :) Please don't become to successful coz we know what happens...the edge gets blunted.
