Shawn I am glad you are coming back to the real world, the smile on your face tells me you will not retire at the cabin in the woods. Next thing we know is you will be using a chain saw to build your log structures. What ever you do thanks for sharing the adventure you both share.

At two years old ( I'm 54) my dad had my sisters an I (plus half the neighbourhood kids) on the 6th Bombardier skidoo ever made in Canada. He was like the Pied Piper driving it around our house giving everyone a ride in a big yellow box that it pulled behind it. It was owned by his place of work Price Brothers in Jonquiere, Quebec and used in the bush for the Foresters to travel on. We loved skidooing as a family of six with a big dog sled thingy to carry us all. I'd buy one tomorrow if I could....so much fun!!!

I'm glad you finally got it, back when you were asking us I told you several reasons why I thought you needed one. I've never rode a snowmobile but we had an 83 Honda Gold Wing Interstate 1000 cc full dress. It was really nice just to go riding or go out for several days. Built a 30 cu ft trailer so we can carry our camping gear. Rode for 12 years till my health started down. Stay safe and enjoy it.

I'm 35 and I still like hearing it and being motivated by you. Helping me get over a serious spinal injury and you don't even know it!

Jean Blythe commented you look happier when your wife is up at the cabin and sharing the cabin life. Your statement about being an expert in everything there's not enough time in the day to suit your perfectionist life style. So making that life decision having your wife at the cabin will make you happier and now you can split the tasks each day. It looks to be an exciting 2019.

I am jealous! Snow machines to me are like motorcycles.. they get in your blood and you are hooked! I rode Harley’s for years in the good weather, and the snow machine gave me that same exhilaration in the winter. Enjoy and be safe!🌲

I'm sure she's a lovely woman and also prefers to remain in the shadows taking care of the homestead, his children, editing and running the camera etc.

Love your new Ski-doo! We had ours for many years and even brought wood out of the bush on it. My Dad got a car hood from the salvage yard, he hooked up some ropes and tied it to the back of the snowmobile. That’s how we hauled our wood out from the bush all winter!😉

Even though we live in snow country as well, I still love seeing your vids in the snow. Skidoo's were made years ago in our home town. Now Harley Davidson m/c's are made in the same facility.

Shawn, a pro-tip (based on the long experience of Mustie1 on YT): at the end of the season, if you're using ethanol fuel, don't forget to run it dry before storage. Over time, the ethanol degrades things like fuel lines, pump and valve diaphragms and so on, leading to expensive and mostly avoidable maintenance issues. Limiting the time-exposure to ethanol helps to prolong the lifetime of such components.

Smart move on the Tundra 600 ACE LT Shawn. I have one and here on the Island Province of Newfoundland, it performs extremely well. The mountains combined with the open bog country allows me and the Tundra to get out and explore incredible scenic country. I'll be soon starting a new series on my channel called "Tundra Time". I plan on showing folks some of my daily adventures into the wilds of Newfoundland. The Tundra will serve you very well. Once you get use to it and how it handles, you'll be amazed at where this machine can go.

Many years ago, I would drag an old toboggan behind my snowmobile, with two skis screwed to the bottom. It made the nicest manicured cross country ski trails you ever saw. You have to give the snow about 24 hours to let it sinter.

Years back we considered a sled to get into our home, our two mile road requires plowing every time it snows if we drive in. Due to a home based work life we plowed and still do. It was tough the first few years using a mishmash of equipment to deal with the snow. Some years here on the Maine coast we don't get much snow, this year has been like that, then patterns change and March can be very snowy. Cool sled.

I bought the exact same machine this season. Excellent machine. Just added a full-size windshield. I know a guy up here who pulled a bison with his, no problem. It does go anywhere. Narrow is also great for sidehilling. I ride mine to work all week, and play all weekend. I might do a video on mine when I get back from the barrenlands!

@Craig I hate it when people make comments out to be "weird".. When we follow RU-vidrs/ channels, it's natural to be curious . Especially when long term viewers see incognito images of (adults) that are mentioned and contribute to the back story of people like Shawn , (and his family /buddies) that we've admired and follow. I respect people's right to privacy.. Of course. Most people do.. 99% of us are curious, but respectful But don't lable people who make requests /suggestions , as "weirdos. Foolish. And judgy.. Great choice for a sled for your needs. I doubt you will have any complaints about it unless you have an unforeseen mechanical issue. As one other person mentioned not only is it practical and fun but it’s also a safety item if the roads aren’t cleared and you have to get into town in an emergency you won’t be stuck in a snow bank waiting for help.
