Pujya Swamiji shares so beautifully that which we do, we see, we have, we experience, etc is not who you are. He shares even in sleep when we wake up there is a something that tells us that was a great sleep or that was a disrupted sleep, He encourages us to inquire who that person is who experiences the sleep. He explains to merge and identify with that knowing, that witness is samadhi.
He explains then what keeps us from being in samadhi if that light is in all of us. He shares our egos and attachments keep us from being in samadhi. By giving various real life examples He shares how that which we are actually attached to is not that many things and ultimately it comes down to that which we are really attached to is our ego. Samadhi, He says, is the loss of the ego. That which is above the ego, the body, the senses, the mind, the intellect- above it all- that is true samadhi.
He further shares that when we become still then only can we experience our true state of being. Therefore, He concludes that for being in peace we dont have to do anything or go anywhere or even search outside, we just have to understand that it is our true nature and if we just can identify, stop or even surrender and offer to the divine the things that obstruct it from our view then only can we realize that peace is who we are.
