A consistent theme in my videos is the importance of steering your mind away from the past and from the future, especially when looking back creates feelings of regret, remorse or anger, or when looking forward creates feelings of fear and anxiety.
The negative and upsetting emotions we attach to thoughts can often make it difficult to stop our minds spinning, especially at night when we are laying in bed. When you are able to guide your awareness away from the past and the future and back into the present, you release yourself from that emotional distress.
This audio track is safe and suitable for frequent listening - as many times as you wish. Since hypnosis helps induce positive behavioural change, a different version of you will be listening each time and so your subconscious will enjoy a different experience on each occasion you tune in.
When listened to on a regularly, this hypnosis session can help reduce anxiety, stress and other stress-related issues, such as insomnia, OCD and depression. Nick, the first time that I listened to you, I had received terrible news about a family members health. I had trouble sleeping. You were right. Tomorrow will be a better day. Thank you. And I still try to listen once a day. It's nice to take a breath just for myself.

Haha…good question. Usually, no. I listen to other hypnotherapists. However, I do test my own sleep hypnosis sessions on myself. I figure that if they work on me, when I know the theory behind the structure of the words and the language patterns, they'll work on listeners. In general, I'd much prefer to listen to hypnotherapists who write in a similar conversational style to my own. Hope that answers your question. My best. Nick

hi Nick. most of the time, your videos really help me sleep, but unfortunately last night I couldn't sleep at all, i think it may have been the stress and the pressure of the flight and the meeting i had to go to and the time crunch which didnt let me sleep, or focus on your words at all (i do have adhd so it is normally still hard for me to listen to words w out distraction) i really hope i get a good nights rest tn because i only slept 1-2 hours on the flight and was too anxious to sleep anymore than that. thank you for all your effort and work, nick

Thank you for listening and for your feedback. I know from personal experience that sometimes you’re just too ‘wired’ to easily wind down. I often find myself agitated and irritable when listening to a hypnosis track - in which case I turn it off and try again another night. For me, the goal is to improve your relaxation over time with the help of meditation and hypnosis. It’s not a fool-proof method that works every single time though. Hope that helps. My best, Nick

Ive been scrolling through your videos and you are my favourite hypnotherapist to fall asleep to. I hope you are healing well! If you do happen to see this i have a question out of curiosity. I do listen to a couple other hypnotherapists but i can only seem to relax to a male voice. If its a woman i seem to get on edge and i don't know why. Best guess is the register of the voice. Any thoughts and do you have a preference?

Firstly, thank you so much for listening and for your kind comments. Secondly, I'm doing well right now. Thanks for asking. Thirdly, with regards to hypnotherapists, I personally prefer the male voices, although I do enjoy Sarah at Unlock Your Life. She has a very soothing tone and great content. Mostly, though, I find that hypnosis creators in general tend to use exaggeratedly slow or distorted speech, which really irritates me when I'm trying to relax or sleep. I much prefer the natural, smooth tones. Hope that answers your questions. Sleep well. Nick
