Used to be the same, started climbing recently. Honestly its a good trust building excercise. The only thing I'm nervous about is my gear. I always make sure it's properly rigged. Other than that, bombs a way!

I had those dreams. It's supposed to be a fear of ambition. It's high places in general, so cliffs is a common one.. I had them back-to-back for several years in university. It happened so often that I could lucid dream whenever I realised it was a high-up dream. The only way to wake up was to throw myself off of the thing I was stuck at the top of. The dreams stopped, but now I have to deal with vertigo IRL.

This is not crazy rock climbing, it’s footage from a g7 inflatable porta-ledges commercial and the athletes are in optimal conditions! I wish u to have a chance to try rock climbing/mountaineering in your future, it’s an amazing discipline that can give so much to u but also take everything u have, that’s why it’s wonderful

Roofing is far more dangerous than rock climbing when you break down the details, I have seen roofers, framers, and painters do far more crazy stuff than any climbing video. The lack of safety equipment and ghetto rigged everything I see at work sites is insane. It is the complete lack of concern for safety on residential construction sites that really makes them that much more dangerous. That’s without thinking about the painters and trim guys that have unsecured ladders on slanted roofs to get to another roof and so on it is just insanity. I have rock climbed a ton when I was young and it is nothing like being on an incredibly steep slippery roof without a harness or rope or proper anything.

I’m scared of heights did one day on a roof with a mate and froze 🤦🏻 felt a right plonka as I was climbing down being heckled by the lads 😂
