Your experiences sound absolutely terrifying! I suffered from this for many years, luckily, it got better, i started lucid dreaming instead. I've had the feeling of eerie humanoid creatures touching my body all over while i was paralyzed! Fricking horrifying! I woke up paralyzed, and even tough I felt like my eyes were closed, it was like I could see in my mind eye, a figure crouching by my bed, and I could hear him crying, and I had a feeling that it was my dad, and I thought he might be crying because he thought that I was dead because I couldn't move, and it was horrible, i tried to speak but my mouth wouldn't move, I wanted to tell my dad that I wasn't dead.
I’m glad you’ve talked about this, I’ve had quite a few experiences of sleep paralysis it is scary to say the least, but lots of interesting theories about it, also lucid dreaming is an interesting topic too 😊

Something you might find interesting, and perhaps, a bit comforting to a degree. Some of the indigenous tribes here in the states view sleep paralysis as a vision quest. Seeing things such as animals or Human-like figures are interpreted as seeing your ancestors or receiving messages from your spirit animals or ancestors. The Algonquin tribe believe in Pawaganaks. Unfortunately, Pawaganaks can also be heralds of such entities as the Wettiko/Wendigo. Owls and Porcupines can be key heralds. -Ryan

I have no problem believing in creatures from other realms. But I wonder about the common thread in sleep paralysis when the being presses down on your chest, like you said the big cat jumped on your chest. That sounds like it might have some material explanation like not being able to breathe. Does that mean the beings are dreams created in response to a physical problem? We don't even know what dreams are anyway...
Hi! Yeah I do suffer from athsma. And maybe people might feel pressure during sleep paralysis if they feel smothered somehow in there awake consciousness. Who knows what dreams actually are or mean as you say. So many what if's on this topic. Thanks for your time and insight! Jamie
