I have had this experience on more than one occasion,, it's a bit scary ,,feels like a force is holding you back from moving or speaking..I usually just keep trying to fight the force trying to lift my head,or trying to open my eyes...then I just relax and ask God to lift me up... 🙏 🤲

When I had sleep paralysis, I pray the holy rosary and then my voice leaves me.

I had chronic sleep paralysis from age 12-21. First, in my experience, “WAKE” ME UP! I’ve been making weird cat noises for an eternity, please reach over and touch me so the spell will break.

I’m only 15 and for the past few weeks there are times when I can’t move and breathe at night or early in the morning. I have to physically remember how to jerk my body awake so I can breathe and wake up. This can happen to me multiple times a day.

This happens to me and only if I nap during the day, which I will no longer do! I don't care how tired I am there is no way that I am going to have a snooze. It's terrifying and feels like it lasts forever. I can see the room I am in, I've tried screaming and waving my arms to get my husband's attention to help me, I can hear myself screaming and can see my arms moving but in reality I am not actually moving nor am I actually making a sound. I've had it happen when I am alone in the house and I recognize what is happening and immediately start to panic because of a fear of the house catching fire and I'm laying there like an idiot, paralyzed on the couch!!! Gaaaack! No way will I nap in the day time anymore.

What if, i dont relate to the common sleep paralysis symptoms, but experience episodes of crippling 'pulsating paralysis', that ONLY occur while falling asleep, never apon waking up. It feels like it starts with this feeling of light headed numbness, tingly. Than it begins to pulsate and spread down my body until i cannot move at all, in a very uncomfortable way. Im absolutely still awake, but my eyes are always closed. Sometimes i feel a sense of being dragged, usually in a circle, but sometimes i dont. But it always starts with a pulsating numbness. It feels like im having brain damage while its happening. If it happens once, it always happens multiple times while trying to fall asleep that night. Every time it happens after the first time in the same night, i progressively become debilitatingly exhausted, to the degree where it feels like my eyelid muscles are dead and my body is working against me, slipping back into closing my eyes and having the same thing happen over and over. This has been happening for 3 years now and not a single doctor that I have spoken with is able to give me any type of answer or honestly even any type of comfort. Constantly being brushed off as someone with sleep problems and being categorized into an area that I feel like I don't fit in.

I sort of relate to you an sort or don't. I also experience a different kind of sleep paralysis is kind of like yours but also not. For me it also starts when I'm going to sleep. An it only happens when I have my back exposed up. An it feels like I'm constantly being watched an feeling a presents of something wanting to stab me. However when I fall asleep I feel a sharp heavy pressure in my back instead of my chest but I don't exactly get paralyzed. I don't actually know if this is what happens but it feels like I'm moving and having muscle spasms. Like I noticed one night that my hand was locking up an twitching an moving but on its own. It's rlly random. Sometimes I am completely paralyzed but it mostly feels like muscle spasms. An I feel like I'm awake whe. It happens but whenever it stops it always ends with me waking up. But then when I wake up it starts happening again an is basically like a endless cycle of thinking I'm awake when I'm not until o actually do wake up. I haven't found anyone or any source that describes this but it's nice to know im not alone in not feeling like I have normal sleep paralysis

Hi doc, I experienced once and I felt my soul float out of body and went to the living room. I could see and hear what people are doing there. Is this common among sleep paralysis?

Find a book or someone online who teaches CBT-I.... cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia . I just finished a course and the biggest thing I learned was not get in bed until I'm really sleepy. Don't be on a phone or computer for a while before bed.

Ive had it several times now, had it last night, i was drfting off to sleep, but my body was fully relaxed on my back with arms by side which i think is an exposed posture, as energy centers are wide open to entities that want to latch on your energy. My body fell asleep before my mind, i struggle to transition to sleep if im aware of it happening which is often these days, but suddenly i felt some thing from the left leap on to my chest similar weight to a cat which i don't have and when that happened i felt a pounding on my pelvis bone like i was being ridden by a rampant rabbit and felt a vibrating in that area too, i can't say that part was unpleasant to be honest 😅 a pressure built around my neck and my arms were too heavy to move, i just wanted to roll on to side and shake this thing off but im not able to move, then i also start to feel it on my feet which hang off the end of the bed under no sheets, and im like nah, not my feet! Then i really get my will power into action and finally manage to roll over to a less exposed posture and it went away. All things considered it weren't that bad, but dont get me wrong, this can seriously freak anyone out but i knew i could deal with it. Ive has random panic attacks at night out of the blue where ive been in a very positive state, then out of nowhere feel a dark presence and dread, heart starts pounding harder and faster than if you were to sprint to exhaustion, more than u thought possible and a heart attack must be imminent, those are scary, best thing is to accept death, you relax and it melts away

if you don't think this is spiritual your are wrong and to prove it try and say the name of Jesus Christ when you have this you can say anything but the name of Jesus and of course the world will tell you there i nothing going on, the figure that you might have seen, the paralyzed feeling that is just your brain messing with you, or is it?
