A bit late, but do you think you could make a lesson on Scourge by Sleep? Aside from The Druid, it’s probably one of my favorite bass parts by Al Cisneros lol
Hey man ! Great work once again , but i tuned to C F a* d* and i think it s the right one ? Are you sure its C F b e ? (Sorry if i am mistaken of course dont want to correct you !) Next Sleep song -> Catatonic by Volume one ! Always wanted to learn the sinister bass at around 4:20 !!
Great question! The song is tuned to C-Standard tuning which is C - F - Bb - Eb. The Capital letter “B” followed by a lower case “b” (Bb) is the note “B - flat.” Same thing with “Eb” equals “E - Flat.” To “flatten” a note means to lower the note by a “half - step.” A “half-step” equals one fret. To “Sharpen” a note means toe raise the note a “half-step.” So if you start at an “A” and raise it a half step, then (on the same string) if you start with a “B” and lower it a “half-step” you will be playing the exact same fret for both “A#” and “Bb”. So, to our ears, “A#” and “Bb” are the same note! So why do I write “Bb” and not “A#”? We are in the Key of C minor and Bb is the 7th note of the scale, while A is the 6th note of the scale. A minor scale uses each “letter” once, and since we already used the “A” for the 6th note we use “Bb” for the 7th note🤘
