I've spent my whole life enjoying music. I could go down the list, but it would take forever but I have listened to MOST, not all not all of the greatest musicians in my lifetime. This band, this album will go down as one of the best albums ever recorded. I know how bold that statement is but I stand behind it. The creativity, song writing, production is absolutely over the top fantastic. No band since Jinjer or Tool has just blown me away like this. Absolute masterpiece of an album...12 mfgn "bangers". That is strong this day in age.
Hell yeah, think it was maybe mid to late 90s last time I could listen to an album and let it play from track 1-12 without skipping....❤️ ALL of Sleep Tokens stuff 🔥🤘😎 ❤️ Worship ❤️
You already reacted to 7 songs before. Glad to see you're going through this entire masterpiece and checking out Vore, Are you really ok?, DYWTYLM, Rain and Euclid. I Showed a girl "Granite" and she immediately loved it. What you're asking where do they get the idea of those "figures" "entities", I dont know honestly even though Im obsessed with them. Their other songs on the album that dont have a video have a couple fan made lyric videos showing the entities in them. They also have symbols representing their songs off their first album and water creatures on their second album. I swear this band's music will age like fine wine. For other sleep token songs I think you will love are: Jaws, Dark Signs, Give, The Love You Want. P.S. the "get the f*ck out of here" reactions always kills me
I've been on the sleep token reaction journey with you since day one and I've enjoyed all of your reactions! 🖤 Being that you're coming from a more hip hop background I would suggest these songs for you and us to all enjoy together :) (in order from release date) Dark Signs Sugar Mine Like That Descending And those are all from previous albums 🤘
You're spot on about the songs being better the second time. My sister showed me "The Summoning" which sparked my interest in Sleep Token. I then listened to the entire album and honestly wasn't immediately hooked, not because I thought it was bad, but because it was sensory overload. I added Granite, Chokehold, and The Summoning to my "metal" Playlist and ingored the rest of the album. After a week or two of hearing those three songs I wanted more, so I decided to run through the album a second time. This time I put on my "audiophile" headphones and listened to the entire album. Laying in my bed with the lights off listening for the second time was a transcendental experience, this time I was hooked on nearly every song. I have a massive musical vocabulary, I've listened to almost everything you can think of, I have a massive Vinyl and CD collection, I never imagined a band or musician from after the 90s would ever make my personal greatest of all time list, this album made that list easily, especially the more I listen to it. Take Me back to Eden, The Summoning, Ascensionism, and Vore are some of my favorite songs of all time. I now consider myself a Sleep Token "Apologist" I've slowly been "converting" my friends and family.
I think it's always more enjoyable on the second listen because your surprise isn't quite as high once you've heard the songs already, and your anticipation and ability to digest and think about the music itself makes you enjoy it even more. It's the same reason why if you really love certain songs, you listen to them for years and years and years lol
Fun fact. Vore is a type of eating fettish or being eaten alive. I reccomend the lyrics for this. He said “will we remain stuck, in the throat of gods? Will the pain stop if we go deeper”
Interestingly, vorarephilia is usually split into "Hard Vore", which is just good ol' cannibalism, and "Soft Vore" which is usually less about sadomasochism and more to do with the consumption or annihilation of one's identity. I personally think Vessel is more leaning towards soft vore in this song; wanting to give themselves entirely over to this godly being until they are indistinguishable from one another.
Love watching your reactions to my favorite band ever 🖤🫶🏻🖤 So much fun to watch even when I’ve seen you react to most of them already. Their music is just another level. This album is a masterpiece. Can’t wait for part 2 of this!!
Lmao bruh I love how you lose your shit over Ascensionism too. I've listened to it over a hundred times by now and I do too still. I think it's one of the greatest songs ever made by any band period, metal or nah. This was amazing to watch. I can't wait for part 2.
Omg, what a way to start my day! So happy to see u did the whole album! I could Worship with u everyday! 🙌 😊 I get to see them live in a couple weeks and will take u with me in spirit. Love ur energy! Thank u for these reactions ❤❤❤
For me personally I think Vore is the stand out track, so much fuckin emotion and variety. But the whole album slaps fr. I hope you'll check out their other stuff as well! If you dig this, check out these bands: Issues, Shrezzers, and Loathe.
Your reactions are basically identical to mine, the more I listen to even single one of Sleep Token's songs, the more I fall in love with them. Brilliant reactions and opinions as always brother ❤
YAY!!! So glad you're doing this. God i love your Laugh 😂😂That's a group of 3 ladies that are touring with the band and doing backup vocals 4:25 yeah they're awesome. Of course Vessel hits those notes too. Hell yeah its a good workout album.... I've had them on repeat for 3 months and have lost 23 lbs so far🎉😊. Hopefully I'll reach my goal of 50lbs ( I'm half way there .... almost....woo hoo) YES....they grow on you more and more the more you listen to them until you are completely obsessed 😂😂🤘😎 Vessel is a lyrical genius... totally R&B worthy 😁 22:07 yeah 😂 they are so good you be vibin and don't really realize that an 8minute song sounds short and a short song is always never long enough 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤ I guarantee you wouldn't skip a song, especially working out! Their older stuff is a combination of harder songs and soft songs. This album imo is their best, but the stuff leading them to this point definitely is nothing to sneeze at. Like I said, the lyrics that Vessel writes are so poetic. 🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤ Look at the lyrics to Vore next time you listen to it...its wild. Look up the meaning also 😂😂😂 Acensionism is definitely one of the best songs by ST, but ALL their songs are great so its hard to pick JUST 1 favorite, it's usually like "Ascensionism is ONE OF my favorites" fr 😂 Great reaction bruh...😊😅😂 Can't wait for part II. Have a great night! ❤ Worship ❤
@@ddevil4980they're not usually that high, but they been bought out by people who are selling them after the "sale" of tickets. I'm in the same boat...well and they not coming to the south 😕. Their tickets sold out in less than 24 hours when they went on sale and there are a bunch of other bands on the ticket for most shows, like festivals. Sux I know. I think the tickets sold out before I even knew about them 😞. Just have to watch the concert footage on RU-vid... And honestly from what I've watched, they are REALLY GOOD live.
Fun fact, when he says "I'd turn my walls to gold just to bring you home again" implies he'd blow up a star to be with Sleep again. Gold is formed by supernova or neutron stars colliding.
Your almost euphoric reaction to these songs make me feel like I'm hearing them for the first time again, this is just how music makes me too :') Sleep token gves me what i need from groups like Boys II Men, Toto, The weekend, jazz and Metal at the same time, even a little gospel. Mhmhmhmh yummy.
I freaking enjoy your reaction, basically as the same as mine hahha. You should react to Sleep Token’s previous albums. Sundowning and This Place Will Become Your Tomb!
Sleep Token is beyond GOATED for me. It might not be revolutionary nor might any of the band members be legends for themselves in someones opinion but you can't deny how fucking well they can put every piece together so well that the songs we get are a pure ear orgasm
So I said this about the albuim on the actual playlist but for me, this albuim is like Pink Floids' "Dark side of the moon" albuim. It switches on and you listen to the WHOLE album, in sequence.
