I dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my account password. I love any help you can give me.
The part about the " business feeding" is so true. I've raised 4 children and can testify it works most of the time (when they are healthy of course). Invest in good night lights and have everything you might need within an arms reach.
I am amazed . You have no idea how much I struggled putting babygirl to sleep . I had no help from anyone other then my husband when we came home from the hospital so no one told me I was carrying her so much or you can say "spoiling" I tried EVERYTHING and I kid you not YOUR method is working I literally want to hug you for saving my sanity ! 😭 my daughter is 2 day shy of turning 7 months I'm on day 4 and you were right ! It only took her 4 days to K.O. In like less then 10min ! Amazing ! I've tried the Cry it out method but always caved in cause I had zero direction . FOR ANYONE SEEKING HELP her method works . Before I couldn't even get out of bed to use the restroom without her waking up and crying for me and was constant nursing or pacifying at night (we shared bed) but the only thing is I feel like she doesn't eat as much? But other then that I wanted to Thank you ! New Subbie 🙌🏻 (I never leave comments! But this time it was a must)
Hello from Germany! Danks for your opinion! Its great to hear I'm not the only person who thinks that night is for sleep! Like nature pretend it. I love to watch your videos and vlogs!!! You are also an inspiration for me. Thanks for sharing your family life with us! Wish you all the best for everyone of you! (Hope my english is not to bad...)
Yes to all of what you said! My 15 month old son was waking up 2-3 hours up until 3 months. I started changing the night time routine to never turning on the nights, keeping things very quiet and would put him straight back down after. It took maybe 2 nights but he started sleeping through! Felt like a new woman after only getting 4 hours sleep after getting up 3 times! Love your vlogs, been watching for around a month now! Love from the UK!
I don't consider myself to be an attachment parent but this is pretty much what I tell expecting mamas! Getting your little to understand the difference between day and night is all about how you handle their day and night. It's so easy to let baby sleep all day (especially when you have multiple children) but if you need sleep then you need baby to sleep at the same time. Such simple yet sound advice! You are a good mama and your well rested baby thanks you 😊
SO glad Cohen is a good sleeper. It's funny, I feel like this is pretty much what I did with my son (10 months) but he never started sleeping longer than 4 hours at a time. Still wakes up 3 times to feed! It really depends on the baby sometimes ;)
I followed your first video and got my 3 mouth old to sleep through the night. Now she is six month she is sleeping great. I put her to bed around 9 and she wakes up around 6 nurses and goes back to sleep until 9.
I'm a new mom and your videos are incredible! Thank you so much for all the detail in your vlogs!!! I literally watch you with a pad and paper and take notes the entire time. Please keep them up!!
I was so scared to watch this because Sleep Training can be detrimental to some nursing babies, but your method seems very gentle and respectful of your baby's needs and personality. I have 3 kids and none of them have actually had to be "trained" to sleep through the night, it happened when they were ready and all at different ages for each child. A great book for those who may need more help or encouragement is called "Sweet Sleep" by La Leche League
thank you!!! my 10 week old baby boy is at the 5-6 long stretch stage but after that I'm up every two hours nursing 😖 I noticed he slept longer when I bottle fed him pumped milk but now that I can nurse him I'd rather do that. I feel confident I'm on the right track thanks to your videos. The subscribers must keep in mind that all babies are different and it may not go exactly the same way for them. I can't to see the update to this video. I love all your videos 💟
Today is my little baby boy's named Jarger. He is on his 7th day of his life. Jarger woke up about 1-3 times in the night. Chirs (Husband) and I already made his passport and it's coming next week. I really don't care if he wakes up like in the very, very early morning. I ❤️Jarger so much!
I loved your previous sleep training vid and this also! Your other vid seriously saved my life a few months ago! My daughter was the kind of little one that needed to be nursed to sleep, but now that she's turned a year, we are working on the whole putting her down drowsy, but awake thing because I'm over having to nurse her to sleep for 30-60 minutes every night in addition to the rest of our bedtime routine! It's been rough going, but hoping it will get better. Hope your sleep journey with Cohen goes smoothly!!!
... Overwhelming thing. I have noticed since about day 7 .. Sleep 7p-12:30 feed 4a feed 7a wake n feed. Thanks in advanced! I saw in a dif video you are doing a talk on how to survive first hundred days as new mom.. I could really use that now! Lol
Elle, can you talk about how to schedule daytime naps? I have a 4-month old girl who is struggling to stay asleep for longer than 30 minutes at each daytime nap.
sometimes i wonder why i watch & enjoy these videos so much since i'm only 18 and definitely not having a baby anytime soon..... haha i guess it doesnt matter, i love 'em anyways!
I always refer to your videos! My son only wakes up once and he is 2.5 months! You are the baby whisperer when it comes to sleep training! I made sure to do the # businessfeed! Fortunately, I haven't ran into a dirty diaper or full diaper at night 🙌🏼.. Thank you so much Elle, you also helped me have my son natural as well, my own doctor told me "Are you sure you want to do this?" I said I've got this! My son was 8.5 pounds and my doctor said ma'am I can count on one hand of how many women did what you did.
This was perfect timing! I just had my first baby two weeks ago and am wondering about sleep training and breastfeeding when it comes to maintaining milk supply.
This is great!! I have a 7 week old little boy and he does very good at night with these methods... Only get up once sometimes twice at night. Love videos like this!
Great tips! I thought this would be a scheduled feeding video, but I'm so glad it's not. This is my kind of sleep training video. My first child, I NEEDED to turn on a light to nurse, but then he would be awake after. With my children after, I did the business feed like you mentioned, and they never had an awake time in the night, from day one!
THIS WAS BRILLIANT! I'm an ECE and pregnant with my first and I hadn't considered any of what you had mentioned. Thanks so much Elle for sharing the tips! I look forward to using these tips :)
This was amazing! I'm due with my second baby in November and will definitely be following your methods with him! My now nearly two year old has always been an awful sleeper (and we definitely made mistakes with her sleep wise) she is only just this last week waking once or twice compared to her normal five/six times waking , so wish this was around when she was little!
My 10 month old daughter is getting her eye teeth and has been waking up 5 to 6 times a night. On a good night she STILL gets up twice, I'll have to keep this video in mind for baby #2 (down the road).
Great advice! I followed advice from your previous video and my baby is sleeping is 10-12 now. I really think it helps not changing diapers at night and using a good cream. We also installed dimmer lights in baby's room, and keep a strict routine.
Hi Elle thanks for this video! I'm wondering what you do about burping? I find that my baby (8weeks old) gets very sleepy after nursing but wakes up the moment i try to burp him. I don't dare put him down without burping because he tends to vomit. I haven't tried to not burp him after a nurse as I worry about him vomiting in his sleep. Is this something that bothered you with Cohen as he has severe reflux?
Thank you so much for this useful video. My now 13 weeks old had no training whats ever previously. One thing I tried to do most of the time though (recently) is to set bed time around 7-8 PM and wake up time around 7-8 AM
Wish I had a video like this when I was a new mom. It's great info and your life is just a little simpler if you can sleep train your child. Thanks Elle for such great videos!
I just found your channel this week and have been enjoying your videos. I was a bit nervous to watch this episode because I was afraid it was going to be more of the 'cry it out' approach, but pleasantly surprised to see we have similar approaches to nursing and sleeping! Your family is very relatable and lovely! Cheers!
Awesome video. Thank you for the reminders. My son is now 3.5 and we are expecting our little girl any day. I forgot the importance of business night time :)
You're a very smart lady. I get it now why you call all this "Sleep Training." I was confused when I watched the last video about "Sleep Training." I get it now. Sorry if it sounded like I was picking apart this whole thing in the last video. It was never called "Sleep Training" when I did this with my kids. It was just something seasoned Mommies told new Mommies they should do if they wanted any sleep. The way you put it is so much better. I wouldn't have felt like I was being mean to my kids. Thank you for sharing this. You're a very informative Mommy. I was wondering something though. Who taught you all this? Did you read about it somewhere? Did your Doctor tell you about this? Was it maybe your Dad? I wish I would've known what you know when I was a new Mommy! Would've made things a lot less stressful. Anyhow, I loved this video. Again, thanks for sharing, and dealing with all my questions. Bless you, and your family! Hope you have a wonderful day.
I'm a first time mom of an 8 month old boy. I'd love to see a video of toddler must haves, or kitchen products you use for baby when they're learning how to eat (best sippy cups? Fav snacks from the store?)
I really liked the pampers....umm I want to say like "night time" pampers? They stay very dry and they're blue on the inside of the diaper. I tried them because sometimes my daughter would leak at night. (she's just a few weeks younger then cohen so she's a size 2)
Love it! I have an 8 month old and your older video helped me out with him. Its interesting to hear about the two different experiences. I'm anxious for a second so I can do it all over again! lol
Hi Elle!! This video has been a godsend for sleep training our little one. Now, I've come to the point where we're having our baby sleep 5-6 hours straight (from 10 pm - 2:30/3 am), then BOTTLE and another 3-4 hours. The problem is, how and when do we know to skip the 2-3 am bottle? Do we just wait until he's 4 months (he's 2 weeks shy of it) before we skip that feed OR do we wait until he's 5 months? It would be great to get your response - again, your videos have helped so much! :) I'm now a happy subscriber!
Thanks for the great advice! My baby is almost 3 weeks so I am happy to watch this. I love the idea of the business feed. I was already kind of doing something like that but that advice helped reinforce what I was doing was right. Thank you :)
Ah ye...sorry, it's a language issue. In my country we sometimes called breastfeeding as eating as that is the only thing that a baby eats and drinks. Thank you for reminding me as English is not my first language :)*****
Thank you SO MUCH for this!! You have given me hope. I am all for attachment parenting but sleep is a major issue for us. I would really appreciate your response here: Is your sweet baby able to sleep okay when you are out and about? I.e., if you visit a friend/in laws, if you are out (mall, park, etc)? In case your outing runs into nap time, have her sleep training allowed her to sleep in those situations or does she have to be in the exact same environment that she was sleep trained in?
Great video! Glad I found your page!! I've been a nanny for over ten years and have seen what great outcome has come from the families that did indeed sleep train. But it's crazy how people still think you're neglecting your baby or putting them at a higher risk if SIDS. Did you come up with the schedule you have or did a book such as baby wise help??! Due in September and trying to get a plan in gear. Thanks so much!
Nikita with a purpose its probably a bit late to answer you comment but maybe for someome else...personnaly i used to put my baby in a more vertical position after a feed, not really tapping is back or anything just keeping gentle and quiet and it didn't stimilate him or woke him back up neither
I've just found out I am pregnant (first time) not to long ago my husband and I figure I should be about a month and a half along.. Would you do a video on things you wish you new before having your first baby!?
Your sleep training videos make so much sense! I have a question. The issue I'm having is my 4 week old fighting sleep soooo bad. He has since birth. Anyone have any advice on this? He was a really good sleeper the first couple weeks but the last week or so, he's really kicked it up a notch. The last 3 nights, he's cried/screamed for about an hour while I try to soothe or nurse him. And then even once he falls asleep, sometimes he will wake himself up crying. Neither of us are sleeping very well right now 😩
Loved the original sleep training video and this was a great add on for my newest little one. Will def come back to this to refresh. Unfortunately I'm not good at doing a business feed because I like to talk to her but I will get better lol
This makes so much sense! Wish id known this before haha my almost 2yo still wont sleep through and is up every couple hours still with the odd good night here or there. Will definitely try this if I ever get enough sleep to try for number 2 hehe thanks for your tips! xx
Well I already do all this since I watched your first sleep video, my little girl just doesn't sleep as long! We usually get 4-5 hour stretch and then 3 hours after that. Hopefully as he gets closer to 3 months he will go 6 hours
I love this video! I have a one month old who fortunately sleeps at night but refuses to nap during the day. She gets over tired but won't fall asleep. How did you get your boys to learn to nap? I need her to start napping for her sake and mine!
I always enjoy watching your videos! I'm a ftm and was wondering if you can answer some of my questions. I met a LC and she told me that my baby had a tongue tie and a lip tie. I saw the video when you blogged about Cohens surgery. Did it really help with breastfeeding? are there other reasons to why you decided to have him get a surgery other than to help with breastfeeding?
Love this video, Elle! I will most definitely be rewatching this come December when baby #2 arrives! Do you have anything on your channel about how you prepared Forde for a new baby? The anxiety is starting to set in about how I will prepare my 2 year old!
Duke Ha'o usually you don’t burp after the dream feed. The thought is that they are still pretty asleep and aren’t crying and getting gas. If you can burp without waking them or stirring them then that’s ok too
My baby is 7 months and still not sleeping through the night 😭 I probably broke all the rules. I always rocked her to sleep. Now she wakes up and cries a couple times a night not for a feeding but just to be held and rocked. I can't stand to hear her cry so I pick her up and rock her every time. I think she's training me 😜
Could you do a video on how you do the bedtime routine with both of your boys when you are home alone? I have two kids and finding it difficult to do the bedtime routine with both when my husband has to work late .
My baby is 5 weeks and she keeps fighting naps during the day I can barely get her to nap for an hour she will stay awake for 2 or 3 hours and when she doesn't nap she fuses for hours at night like a full on tantrum
Hi Elle, thank you for your Video and they are very useful. Would you please tell me how you quit the 3:00-4:00 am feed? As I would like my baby quit this meal when he 5 months old. Thanks
Hello there, I see migrenes seem to affect you a lot :( Have you tried the Katharina Schroth physiotherapy method? It helps a lot of patients to get rid of migrenes! Good luck and thanks for the update :)

Thanks for the great advice however my baby girl who is 7 weeks almost is getting smart and starts to cry when I set her down into the crib. She seems to jump in her sleep which wakes her up and also being a colicky baby doesn't help much either. She sleeps very well in my arms but once we set her down she wakes up crying. We are exhausted...
Mine is 6 weeks now and we're going through the same thing. But some of my friends babies slept through the night at that age! I dont get it!! Did things ever get easier for you?? Im going to try letting her sleep in her bouncer next to our bed cause she's HATES her bassinet. She never stays asleep for long and I dread nighttimes because of it.
Ellie Wg dont let her close her eyes to sleep on your arms. she will be scared because suddently she's in a crib and you are not near. also swaddle. that thight feel, like in the womb, is amazing dor them. or a sleeping bag
Elle, I have a 4 month old girl and her bed time routine starts at 7pm and she is sleeping by 8pm with minimal tears now. She will usually wake up an hour later... we give her a soother and she will fall back to sleep... should we let her cry it out? Also she is then up at 230am and I breastfeed her at that time but then she is up at 530 sometimes earlier. I don't believe she is hungry. I'm wondering if you would advice me changing her bed time all together to later at night around 10pm or 11pm? Or just keep at it? We have been following your training for about 2 weeks.
Hi Elle! 🌺 Vanessa here... First time mommy with baby girl, Selah 💜 18 days today! (Plzzz H E L P! 🙏🏽) I love your vlogs n fam! Some questions... How do you deal with burping after the business feed? Burping usually takes me 10-20+ min which usually wakes her up even is she fell asleep nursing. Also, do you use a monitor to listen for when baby wakes up or set your alarm to anticipate baby's sleep cycle at say the middle of night feed? Do you swaddle baby? Should I sleep her on her back? First week hubby n I took turns sleeping to watch her (hold her) while she slept. Desperate for sleep but still paranoid about risks of not breathing or choking on a stuck bubble burp.. I've been holding her on my chest as we sleep together in our bed. (Not ideal! Lol) she's been nursing on demand durning night and falls asleep nursing. I'm afraid I'm teaching bad habits but I don't know how to fix. During the day she can't be put down alone without crying and that's prob the most overwhe
its funny because i do this with my 10 week old, and she still doesn't routinely stay asleep for long stretches. randomly she will do a 6hr or 8hr (once) usually all i can count on it a 4 hr right after putting her down. then its 3 hrs. and i could never put her down at 7pm she wouldn't stay asleep. who knows if i would have tried thia from day one.
