On this episode we feature Rudy's 1992 Turbo Honda Civic hatchback. It's a true sleeper build making over 700WHP but looks almost stock to the untrained eye! Watch along to learn all about Rudy and his badass ride, strap in and enjoy!
700 hp on the streets and able to put the power down is impressive. Also it drove straight not bouncing all over the lanes is always a win for me. Very clean hatch keeping the Honda’s alive
when it comes to sleepers i honestly think its all just personal opinions.. i mean, a ultra sleeper is something that looks 100% bone ass stock, even down to enginebay details, but obviously some cars have a hard time to obtain that look to keep the power they run, i can accept that a 600 hp car is lowered and aftermarket wheels, because you cant tell it has 600 hp. But personally i do prefer a sleeper that has everything on the outside oem, even down to steelies and hubcaps
Theyre the best modern "hot rod" in my opinion. To clarify when hot rodding first started getting big in the 40s the thing to do was find the cheapest, lightest coupe you could and stuff in the biggest, baddest motor you could build. Hondas fit that way of thinking to a T, so in my opinion if you love old school period correct rods like at The Race of Gentlemen, you should love Hondas to!
@@barneymiller7894 lmao no. When theres N/A K series blowing the doors off boosted B series. Even the Honda forms are saying boosted b series are getting chopped by K series
I miss my old eg. Banging 2nd gear and having my radio bust my knuckles open lol. Some good times, every civic I owned the dash would fall apart on that 2/3 shift.
@@barneymiller7894 ah shit, hell yeah! I never knew how bad I’d miss that shit until I didn’t have to rely on it to make moves. But goddamn I wish I could go back to the days when I lost my hood on the top of 3rd walking an z06, probably the funniest night racing in my life
Lol thats great, beat his ass in Honda with parts falling off 😂 My first Honda was an all motor H22 EF, like the third or fourth real pass in the car i was racing an all motor small block truck. Got out on him from a dig but when I went for the 2-3 I came back up with the whole shifter box in my hand 😂
Hahahaha, I kept the ashtray filled with change on my 95 hatch, turbo'd B16. Every time I would bang 2nd gear it would slam open and spit change all over the car! Brought a smile to my face every time. Shift linkage came apart in a snow storm one night. That was fun having to climb underneath that thing rolling around in snow. Still somehow really miss those days.
Oh maan! What a lovely sleeper Civic. I been driving an EG Hatch bought brand new in 1993 till now as my every day car. Soon do a few mods to pep it up a bit. Greetings from sunny Jamaica.
jesus, things fully built and this guy knows exactly every part on the part. gotta love it when the owners know their shit, instead of someone that just throws money at a car knowing nothing about it.
Seriously, people don't realize how fast a 300-350whp Honda can be! I talk to so many people who want to build a 500 or 600hp car when they have no experience with fast cars. I also try to steer them towards starting with a basic all motor build and go from there
I'm not a Honda guy at all but I still appreciate this one. Very nicely done. I do agree with his statement about beating people in a Honda. I do the same thing with my 95 neon.
Thank you thank you thank you finally a nice clean Honda build without a freaking hood exit exhaust . Kills me to see some of these nice builds that are daily's or street driven and then they just cut a hole in the hood. I know the reasons but for a street car just doesnt make much sense to me. Everyone has their own taste I guess. Awesome job on the build.
Absolutely badass! Most would never see him coming until it was to late an there behind him with there foot to the floor trying to figure out what the fu*k just happened.😆 Awesome car! Awesome video!
Sir i respect you!! This is putting a huge smile on my face as of this up coming summer I’m rebuilding my b16a2 swap that’s in my 95 civic coupe!! Im building from the crank all the way to the top.. any advice would be very helpful!!! I love beating mustangs and the big Diesel trucks with the turbos!!!
Mad respect on that C real nice bro, the only problem might be that with that much power in such a small displacement, usually they wear out quick, but keep dominating the track dude!
Yo Rudy you built a very very nice clean kick ass sleeper. Very classy it's not all riced out .looks like it's almost stock but it's far from stock keep gaping them v8s
So sick, I have a 400whp rsx that’s got faded paint and everything stock exterior, the faded headlights that’s pretty cool for me I couldn’t imagine 700whp so cool nice build 👍
I feel like two body guys worked on this, the panels are all straight and the paint is good. But then whoever put it all together ended up with some real crooked panel gaps lol still a cool ass car just get those fenders and hood mounted straight lol
