Roger B yessir! cast was amazing.. it definitely couldn't be made today with everything offending everybody. movies like these took risks and this one paid off big time probably in my top 10 movies of all time
Roger B ain't that the truth a solid family can make a big difference... if you have Amazon prime sleepers is on it now and I'm watching it as we speak lol
@@simonphoenix5768 People are a bunch of pussies today, getting offended by everything and everybody. At least we have movies like these to remind us of a time when we were free to speak freely, and accorded others the same freedom.
Well let's be honest, this was never going to be a happy ever after movie. I actually like that they kept that part realistic. You can't just change like that overnight on a drunk night. When they got out, their fates were written...
Such a good movie. Sad but good. I love how they were so close. And even though they didn't see each other much when they got older, they still had each other's backs
I find Minnie Driver to be annoying! but this was a good scene in the movie because it was their last reunion, and they were all celebrating a part of their past that they could finally let go.
This movie broke me. Couldn't watch anything with Kevin Bacon in it for yrs to come. My bestie introduced me to Footloose later and that's when I could see him as an actor again. Still can't watch Sleepers.
top draw ,,, barry levinson director Cast and Crew Bravo... for those who maybe don't like... You can't always get want you wanna,,,We always got time for a song... Epic
Even four people wounded in mind at this time is the all good smile. Such as the time of carefree never been a boy I think the theme was a masterpiece that comes appeal to the heart but was heavy(´;ω;`)ブワッ 心に傷を負った4人もこの時は皆 良い笑顔をしている。 屈託のなかった少年の頃のような…(´;ω;`) テーマは重かったけど心に訴えかけてくる名作だったと思う
Hi... is there any chance that you could post the clip where they give the cop the gun, and he says "if i ever piss you guys off, call me and give me the chance to apologise" only i'm trying to get that sound bite for a project i'm working on.
I don't think she slept with any of them just John. She dated Michael as a kid but I don't think they did it especially when they got out of juvie. After their traumatic experience he didn't want to have sex with anyone. She flirted with Shakes but I don't think it went anywhere. She had a relationship with John as adults and had a kid by him. The kid at the end is the same actor as the young version of John. Implying it was his son. But I do think she was in love with 3 of 4 men.
I love that actress, she's such a breath of fresh air in this film, in Return to me with Duchovny, in Good Will Hunting... I wish more actresses were like her so that I wouldn't have to watch movies with poorly played female characters.
I really wanted to love this movie. It comes so close to being great but falls short. I hated the sappy music. I hated the annoying unnecessary editing. I wanted to see more of Johnny and Tommy when they were locked up. I wanted the scene where the bad guys get arrested to be more satisfying. When they do it in the movie it just doesn't have much impact. The echoes when the evil guard was on trial were annoying too. Just so disappointing to see the movie couldn't pull through. I wanted some closure on the Priest and narrator too.
MrWatcherman1 Maybe this movie isn't about what you want. Real life can be dark and not always gratifying in the ways we want it to be, I think Barry Levinson captured that masterfully here.
