Hey guys!
This trip is about an overnight stay high on the mountain
I build a warm shelter. Built to suit this time of year, I built a fireplace with a 1.60 meter high chimney for the heat.
For dinner I made lamb ribs over the fire
During the night it was very pleasant and warm!
My dog BONNY slept in my shelter all night she was knocked out from running around!
I want to be a part of nature, not a spectator who just comes to visit. Not a tourist because we are all tourists in nature. People visit nature but are not part of it. Being a part of nature means being completely naked, without modern technology, with nothing, a true human animal in the wild. We have lost our ability to live like this in nature, so we have to apply technologies that make us tourists in nature. But if we relearn old skills, we can go out into nature and become one with that environment, a part of it. Only then will we become human again!

Wow I’m very envious of your little corner of paradise you built in a very short time I believe in harmony a innermost peace curtesy from the tranquility of the beautiful forest and the greatest of comforter a nice little open fire the heat would quickly warm up a overhead lean to with little space ideally suited for one person to keep the warm in a confined space and dog for a mate and laying down on ground mat that’s probably the bed for the night a nice cuppa peacefully settled in for the evening

We sometimes have the same limits here in Texas. It can be very dangerous to start a fire here when the wind is strong and dry. We would face a large fine then, if we build a fire.

Wow the tree leaves look so green. Right now the trees up here are starting to bud and there is that skunky Spring smell in the air. I live in an area with big glacial rocks and I pile them high in a half circle and sleep in the front while camping out fishing . Rocks hold the heat and keeps me from having to constantly stoke the fire every hour ! Also great when you catch fish , gut them , lay them on the rocks whole and they peel like bananas . Don't use lime stone !
