I loooove the Purito Sleeping Mask (altough i use it as a normal moisturizer). Perfect for very sensitiv and dry skin! Its the only cream which i didn't need to switch out for over a year, because its so hydrating. Until now i couldn't find another moisturizer which is also capable of this...
I slug with eucerin complete repair. It has 5% Urea. And it has a little bit of lactic acid in it. It's very hydrating. I also put a layer of Vaseline over that to make sure it's sealed in. Numbuzin #6 sleeping mask serum works wonders too.
Hey Kelly😊Have you already had the oppurtunity to try out the I'm from Licorice Calming Cream? I wonder how it performs against the Isntree Mugwort Calming Cream
Ahh YESS THANK YOU! I really appreciate how you post content based on requests, as well as your own original ideas. I’ve been loving your stuff lately ! ❤️
I love sleeping masks. I am using that Abib one at the moment and like it. I have used the Cosrx Rice one and Propolis ones before. Not tried the others you mentioned but the Purito one is on my wish list, as is the propolis one but both were out of stock on Stylevana so couldn’t get them on my last haul.
Kelly I bought the IUNIK sleeping mask a few months ago because of you!! It’s been the best thing ever and you have made me obsessed with propolis as well. I’ve seen that my skin looooves it. I would like to try the Abib one, but the BOJ sunscreen which is also rice + probiotics broke me out so I don’t think I’ll be able to, but I love my IUNIK!!
Can I use them alternately? Like IUNIK on Mon, then no mask on Tues, Abib on Wed, then no mask on Thu, then Iunik on Fri, then Abib...?? I have a combo to a bit oily plus sensitive and acne-prone skin : ( I live in germany
Hi Kelly! I use the Isntree Onion Newpair Gel Cream as my moisturizer most nights and it works great for me in that respect and doubles as a sleeping pack, especially as we continue with unusually warm temps here in NC. I do have the Iunik Propolis Vitamin Sleeping Mask on standby in case I need it if it ever gets truly cold here. We have only had two frosts so far this autumn.😐
I love the iunik propolis for my forehead/fine lines areas for overnight and cerave ointment for harsh weather when I’m outdoors(very cold/very dry) or if I have a dry patch on my nose from blowing too much 😂😅
My favorite overnight mask is Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask. It's a winter favorite when central heating takes a toll on my skin. I really like the Cerave Healing Ointment as a hand and foot cream at night. It sinks in pretty quickly if I don't use too much. It's great for cuticles.
Hi Kelly I use a body cream as a sleeping mask. It’s like the middle ground between the Korean sleeping packs and an ointment. My most used for this is the LRP baby lipikar cream btw which is for face and body, but I also like the Avene Xerocalm balm too. I did use up the ordinary phytoceramide cream as a sleeping pack - it works well for this, but doesn’t work as a stand alone moisturiser for me on my super dry skin (left me dehydrated with a greasy film used alone, but did work over another moisturiser much better). Gels aren’t enough and neither are lotion textures but I have severely dry skin. A body cream like those mentioned does contain petrolatum but it has a better texture than an ointment for me personally on the face. As I have had lifelong eczema this is far from a new concept for me and something I did for many years before the term “slugging” was ever invented 😂. Best wishes x
this is completely unrelated but have you tried the isntree aloe toner? I'm trying to find reviews of it on youtube and can't find any! plus you're my #1 skintuber so I'm rly hoping you have some thoughts 🙏
Hi Kelly, have you try axis y biome lines? I looooveee their night balm (used it as moisturiser day and night tho haha). Would love to hear your view on the lines!
Either way, it depends on your skin type. I lean dry, so I use masks on top of moisturizer. More oily types or balanced types might prefer to replace moisturizer with a mask. There is no wrong way just the right way for your skin and routine!
You’re always so helpful! I recently started slugging with petrolatum based products and the results are great, but I’m having a hard time getting it off in the morning without doing a full double cleanse, which i feel like is reversing some of the effects. Any tips for gentle removal?
Maybe try micellar water in the AM, it's much gentler than a traditional facial cleanser. If you don't want to add a new product maybe try washing with water and a wash cloth, you don't have to rub it hard on your face but the cloth can help break through that thick product layer a little easier than just water and your hands.
Maybe try something that is water soluble Instead. I don’t use the Vaseline as it’s too heavy. Instead I use Pipette Baby Balm with Squalane as my last step. ❤
@@KellyDriscollthank you!! I’ve always been terrified of micellar water being harsh, not sure why. I’ve got some bioderma for makeup cleanup tho, and I’m gonna try this tomorrow morning❤
11:60 oh i wish i loved this- but it keeps breaking me out, can you tell me what ingredients might have been responsible for this? And also because i heards tons of ppl talk about the purito dermide relief barrier moisturizer- how do you compare these two? Is the moisturizer thicker than the sleeping pack? Thank Kelly!
Hey @talaaa2897! I tried both. I loved the Sleeping Pack and hated the moisturizer. The second one is definitly thicker. I have dry skin but love formulars that are not heavy and very hydrating😊
I have a video where I talk about the moisturizer and sleeping pack all together, you can check that out for more info. I'd say the moisturizer is more thick and nourishing than the sleeping pack. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C0XvKGa7nQM.html
Despite the ridiculous amount of skincare I own, I've never tried a so-called sleeping mask 🫣. I so want to try the Abib and the iUnik one. The purito looks interesting too: I've tried other products from that same range.
If you mean the Skin1004 Hyalu Cica sun serum, it’s my favorite. The Biore was drying and has fragrance. I also love the pump bottle packaging. It replaced the holy grail sunscreen I’d used for 10 years.
Also, Biore sunscreens are usually water resistant, while the Skin1004 isn’t. You could use them for different purposes. I prefer the Isehan Kiss Me Mommy Aqua Milk over all the Biore, though. The Isehan is water resistant, but feels lighter (and I think is fragrance free).
