Cozy is how I would describe your channel in one word Kelly, every time I see a new upload in my subscriptions feed I just want to snuggle on my sofa with a blanket 🍵 Edit: finished watching, great and informative video as always!
Absolutely love the Purito silky oat-in toner. I use it on my whole body and face. I found that just using a thick, rich white night cream after a shower doesn’t hydrate my body skin enough. One layer of this underneath and my skin looks and feels perfect.
I have been using the Dr Ceracule Essence for perhaps 3 years, thanks to your recommendation in an earlier video. Used year-round, I never want to be without it. Everything you say about it is spot on. I have dryer skin and live in a northern state with mixed weather. But thanks to Dr C and some ceramides my naked skin does not look dry. Thank you for keeping us up to date.
Hi Kelly the Dr Ceuracle really irritated my skin, but the Mary and May biphase toner/essence is much better tolerated on my skin. However as a replacement for the Laneige cream skin (which I loved) my pick is the jin jung sung omega “serum” - it’s a 150mls and cheaper than the Laneige. It delivers more moisture than the Mary and May so it’s a better replacement for me for the colder months on my super dry, rosacea and eczema prone skin. I hope that helps someone else who doesn’t tolerate the Dr Ceuracle. Best wishes x
See, the Mary and May blackberry essence made me breakout but my skin loves the Laniege toner. However, since some of their ingredients come from China I will not buy from this company because of animal testing. I really want to try the Dr. Ceuracle, toners!!, I hope my 49 year old skin likes Dr. C
The kombucha tea essence is a HG for me! The Purito oat essence looks interesting. Now if I could just fine a replacement for my Laneige cream skin for when the dead of winter hits! Thanks Kelly, loving the cold weather content!!!
I bougth the Dr. Ceuracle Essence last year because of your recommendation. I love it so much for mu dry skin. Especially in the winter. It feels luxurious on the skin.
I like Dr C but sometimes feels suffocating so I keep going back to I'm from Rice toner. Love you and your content - you're The Best K-beauty informencer here. 😉
Hi Kelly, This might help those w VERY sensitive dry skin: I have very dehydrated skin. In addition, I had discontinued tretinoin and have begun to use it again 4 months ago. So, currently I have even more sensitive skin. I own Dr Ceuracle Kamboucha, but I'm finding it irritating at the moment. So, I'm opting for good old Laneige Cream Skin as a last layer and for thinner hydration L'Occitane Immortelle Toner. It's a bit pricey, but soooo soothing and oh so very hydrating ❤ So lately, keeping it simple with those and Cerave lotion. When it gets colder, I'll move to Illiyoon cream.
Dr Ceuracle Kombucha Tea is AMAZING!!! This and Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Toner are my favorites. I tried the Purito Oat Silky Toner and I didn't like it at all. I used it on my body. It leaves a film on your skin and when I started using it on my body I noticed it foamed up ( bizarre lol ) not sure if it was because I was using more on my body, I just wanted to be done with it quick lol
Cannot believe we are already dealing with cooler weather. I am still using my Laneige Cream Skin Toner (old formula) I still have a back-up bottle so this winter season I will be covered. I am interested in trying Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner. This was great! Cheers Beautiful!
The Goodal one is my holygrail thank you for introducing it to me!!! It makes my skin so silky soft I can't try anything else. The isntree was too watery for me.
My favorite milky toner is Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Enriched Calming Toner. I like to get some instant hydration immediately after cleansing and before I start applying skincare.
I have dry skin and love milky toners, i have used all of these except the round lab one, so will put that on my list to purchase. I love the whole Isntree yam root line, I am using the milk cleanser and the face cream at the moment. I would love to repurchase the Dr Ceuracle one if it wasn't for such a high price.
Unfortunately, I haven't really used toners in skin care so far. However, I bought a ginseng toner from BOJ and it's really great for me. I apply it in two layers. Always apply the first layer to damp skin. I have a feeling that it provides deeper hydration that way. Lately, I've been drawn to milk toners. I am looking for sufficiently moisturizing and watery toners. I don't want anything sticky because all the serums I have are already sticky enough and that's a problem in my evening routine when I want to use retinol. You present the products in such a way that I want to buy them all😂. Thanks for the recommendation
I love my Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence. I know people say you don't have to use toner and/or essence in your routine. What do you think are the benefits of using one or both?
Oooof after Laneige changed their cream skin formula I'm still on the search for a replacement - I'm more dry leaning especially now that we're heading into cooler temps. I've been keeping my eye on this type of video from you as I horde the last of my OG Laneige cream skin bottle.
I would suggest Thank you Farmer’s Rice Toner. It’s cheaper but has that thicker milk texture that my skin loves without being oily. I think Kelly did a video comparing the two before.
I'm interested in all of these toners, apart from the Purito Oat-in-Silk which didn't work for me, unfortunately. I found it too sticky. Perhaps I was applying too much? 🤔
I doubt you were using too much. I didn't work for me either. It left a film on my skin. It was one of those products that made my skin feel yucky...like I needed to wash it, if that makes sense.
My pre-teen is getting into skin care and love toners -wish one you recommend? She has perfect silky skin but want to nourish her love for skin care with something with no active and short list of ingredients.
Hmmm maybe something like the Purito Unscented Centella Toner or Roundlab Dokdo Toner, both are simple and hydrating, good for those just getting into skincare!
Would appreciate your thoughts on the new Medi-Peel kombucha toner. I wonder how it compares to Dr. Ceuracle and Mary and May. Thank you for your videos, they are so helpful!
Thank you for this list! It is so timely! Have you heard or tried the Bliss Mighty Biome Milky toner? The ingredient lists looks good for a fraction of the price that some similar essences and toners have. I was curious if you ever used this?
I’m starting to think oat doesn’t work well with my skin. I’ve tried the aveeno oat gel cream & the FAB wild oat toner and it burns once I put it on my skin!
For someone who is acne prone and combo im kind of scared of using creamy milky toners.Howeber I did buy the naturie skin conditioner as it is also white and will give me that sense of milky I crave
Dr Ceuracle is really the best. When it comes to my favorite products...I've telling myself before trying something new....if it's not broken why fix it 😊
@@paulayarbrough6930the struggle is real when you love skincare content! I’m so aware of expiration so I try not to have more than one thing going in any category at a time but OOF.
Hey Kelly! I took your suggestion about the ordinary pink soothing serum. I put 3 drops on the back of my hand, and then apply to face. Doesn't pill now.
Kelly I use misha time revolution essence and cosrx cermide mist followed directly by skin aqua super moisture gel spf and I feel too glowy. Could you recommend replacing any of those to knock down the glow? I’m dry
You must be going to put the Yam Root toner in a Holey Trenity tutorial? LOL because I was wondering how you did keep it together when you were saying it. I was Like OHOH oh oh oh Holey Trinity.
Do you ever buy products off of Amazon? I need something a bit sooner. Even though the prices are much cheaper and don't have to worry about frauds at other retailers i figured you might be able to help find something good on amazon 😀 one of theses days i would love to do skincare assignment with you
Hi Kelly, thanks for this video. It helps, as almost all of your content does. 🙂 How about the famous I´m from rice toner and Laneige skin refiner? Where would you put those two? The Laneige INCI reminds me a lot of the Purito Oat-in toner INCI. Are they similar in texture and feeling? Thanks a lot.
Rice toner would go after Goodal but before purito in terms of moisture. Laneige cream skin refiner original formula is likely being discontinued so I didn't include it here but it's richer than Dr. C. The new Cerapeptide Laneige formula would be after Purito but before Isntree in terms of moisture. Hope that helps! I reviewed Laneige Cerapeptide here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4B1SdKh3Ufo.html and I'm from Rice Toner here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-46qRDF-Ovmo.html
My allergies are going crazy lately so trying to simplify my life since it seems I'm basically allergic to water! Anything watery turns my red face even redder. Trying to think of what to do with my collection of toners and lighter serums so they don't go to waste. Use as first step cleansers and rinse off? Dunk my body in them? Any other ideas?
Toners and serums can be used up on your body and hands (assuming you aren't reacting there) open skincare should last about 9 months so if it's just until your allergies are treated and under control you probably don't need to do anything but wait, products should still be good!
Hi Kelly! Thanks for all your videos! At the moment, I’m looking for the Korean version of the First Aid Oat toner, I’m in looove with that toner, but I live in Chile so it’s really difficult for me to repurchase it, so if you think that any of these or maybe other korean toner is similar in texture and feeling on the skin can you please let me know? (I really hope the answer is not Lanaige 😅) Thank you!!
@@KellyDriscoll thanks for the answer! I just bought the thank you farmer and next time I'll buy the Purito Oak.. Even though I think I’ll never get over the First aid one, it literally leaves my skin hydrated and glowing! Thank you so much for all your videos! I love them!
Which one is better between isntree yam root toner and laneige cream skin (old formula)?. Both of them are going to be at the same price range during this sale. Plss if someone has used both let me know
I actually have a full review of the new formula and a video on replacements for the original formula already! The isntree yam toner is very close to the original formula. Replacements: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aw8DuCOSO-Y.html Cerapeptide Review: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4B1SdKh3Ufo.html
I haven't tried the newer formulation so I'm unsure if the moisture/texture has changed but if I recall correctly it would be in the middle, after Round Lab, Purito and possibily Goodal but before Isntree and Dr. C.
I have a new full bottle of the lenige cream skin org formula and a new bottle of the Dr C kombucha ready to go for cooler weather also a bottle of the FAB oat toner. I think I'm set for milky toners for the winter I also still have half a bottle of the Thank u farmer rice toner that I need to use up. * Oops just realized I have almost a full bottle of the goodal rice toner too. I need to get on to using that up before it goes bad.
Hi kelly 🥰 i have a dought since isntree yam root tonner contain vegetable oil can we use as first step won't it act as occlusive and block or decrease other ingredients or products absorption pls reply ❤
Not all oils are occlusive (they are poor occlusives in the face of dimethicone and petrolatum). Oils can be treated in ways that make them lighter for cosmetic use, which is what has been done here.
iHerb, Blooming Koco, Ohlolly, Sokoglam, Olive Kollection are my faves for stateside shipping. Olive Young Global ships from Korea but arrives in about 6 days!
