Sleepless in Seattle (1993) Movie REACTION! 

If you want to see Bill Pullman as THE romantic lead I would HIGHLY recommend While You Were Sleeping! He stars opposite Sandra Bullock ❤️ Both movies are some of my top favorite movies of all time ☺️

Hanks and Ryan, great big screen couple. All three movies are worth watching, personal favorite of mine is the Joe versus Volcano.

Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks' wife in real life, is playing his sister in this one.

Hi Madison, Love this movie too. Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan made three movies together. Their first was, Joe Verses The Volcano. Quirky as all get out, you’ll have trouble guessing what’s happening next. An older Oscar-winning black and white movie called, The Apartment from 1960 is wonderful as well. Stars Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine. It’s so well written. ( I know you’ll like that.) By the way, Nora Ephron has a small part in this movie. She’s the nervous airplane passenger and sitting next to Annie. And Bill Pullman was the president in Independence Day.

So Madison, being a romantic, have you seen "An Affair to Remember"? It is the movie they keep referring to in this movie!

The dialog and casting are so good, and the soundtrack is really special. Top 5 all time favorite for me. Walter ultimately understood his own worth as a partner, thank goodness.

This movie has a special place in my heart and never fails to elicit wonderful feelings when watching it. So many great performances in the film but I have to say my favorite is when Hanks is with his sister and her husband and they talk about classic movies. Hanks and his brother-in-law bring up The Dirty Dozen and their banter is just hilarious. Such a feel good movie that never gets old. Great reaction, as always! P. S. Check out the soundtrack if you ever get the chance. There are some fun classics on there but the highlight is the duet by Celine Dion and Clive Griffin, "When I Fall in Love". That selection alone will send you to the moon. Take care, Madison. 🙂

"Could be a crazy lady?" You mean like someone who would hire a PI to surveille someone whom she knows only from a single radio interview then fly across the country to up and try to meet him? Ephron once gave an interview in which she categorized rom-coms into "Christian" ones and "Jewish" ones; in the former there is some external obstacle keeping the couple apart, and in the latter it is the couple's own neuroses that is the obstacle. "When Harry Met Sally" and "You've got Mail" are examples of the latter; this movie feels a bit different because it is an example of the former.

Fun one, Madison! Very sweet. 😊 I Iived in Seattle back in the day and a couple of times went Christmas caroling with a bunch of friends in kayaks around those house boats on Lake Union. It was chilly, but lots of fun! 🌲 😃

Fun reaction. This is such a sweet story that so many people overlook. It's cute taking this with You've got Mail. With the same actors falling love.

I finally watched this movie after avoiding to watch it for 30 years. The part where Tom Hanks finds his son at the top of the empire state building and he hugs him...that's the part that bought tears to my eyes. It made me think of my father.

Those two are also both in Joe vs. the Volcano. Meg shows up as three different characters in that one.

Have 4 sisters... they all at one point or another brought the land line phone with the stretchy chord into the broom closet to talk with their friends. When costs came down on phones, we got a phone on each floor of the house... was like a Star Trek boost in technology for our family.

The Hanks and Ryan team of movies are all great. If you're looking for more romance I highly recommend "Amélie (2001)", personal favourite.

Madison, I'm sure you've been inundated with hundreds of suggestions already, but I have a few that I haven't seen mentioned yet. One that is similar to the type of movie I think you were expecting is One Fine Day with George Clooney and Michelle Pfeiffer. Another favorite of mine with I feel an absolutely perfect ending is Say Anything with John Cusack and Ione Skye. And since this one had the brother from Frasier, Say Anything has the dad. And my all-time favorite romantic movie is Return To Me with Minnie Driver and David Duchovny. That one I guarantee you'll love or I'll find some way to refund your two hours back.

A great movie. A great time for romcoms. Good reaction. Good for the season. Another fun one with these two, from 1990, is "Joe vs The Volcano. A movie to make you question your reality is "Source Code". I have no idea what genre it fits, but it makes you wonder which version of reality you are in.

May I suggest 'Out of Africa' with Merryl Streep and Robert Redford? Incredible scenery, haunting musical score by John Barry (who signed the sound track for the movie Dances witth wolves).

Better kid-acting than most kid actors and some adults.

If you liked this, try The Courtship of Eddie's Father from 1963 with Glenn Ford and Shirley Jones. Also has Ron Howard as the little boy trying to find his dad a new wife.

I find that this film has a lot in common with the 1964 movie The Courtship of Eddie's Father. Newly widowed fathers whose sons are trying to find wives for their fathers. There are even a few scenes that are almost the same.

@14:58 Long straight open road and cab driver was still going full speed approaching pedestrian til last second. And, have you read any Robert B Parker ? He’s written about 7000 books. Known for his private eye series, Spenser. Also has a small town police chief series (Jesse Stone) and a female detective/psychoanalyst (Sunny Randall) which he created for Helen Hunt to play. But, he also has a Western series (I think only four) and one of those books is the movie Appaloosa……a decent movie ruined by the romantic interest. The Spenser series is amazing though.

As good as Sleepless is, I like You've Got Mail better, and Joe Versus The Volcano is the best of the 3 to me!

On film it is an entertaining relationship but in real life if a woman acts like Meg Ryan you stay far away from her, she is basically stalking him, and dumps her fiance over a romantic dinner on Valentines day for some guy she has had one word exchange with ever in their life. She carried on her relationship with Walter while seeking out another guy, trying to have contact with him and flying across country to do so ..yeah not prize material there.
