Join us as we visit the famous town of Sleepy Hollow NY, made famous by the Author Washington Irving. This story has been told time and time again and adapted into television and movies for all ages. Will we find the Headless Horseman?
That’s so awesome! I’m glad you guys had a good time! We love PA! I spent a lot of my childhood in PA. Still my home away from home and holds a special spot. Thanks for watching the vlog!
Not sure I'd call The Legend of Sleepy Hollow "readable" as the tour guide indicated. It's not an easy read.... but a great story. Thanks for sharing this amazing video.
This looked so fun! Can confirm Sleepy Hollow at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World still exists! It’s near the Christmas shop in Liberty Square. It’s a quick service. Next time you visit we can get some food there! I’m excited for the upcoming videos!
Hi. On the “Santa Fe” style building you toured in Sleepy Hallow. The architectural style is Dutch. I live in Santa Fe NM and there is nothing about that building that represented Adobe architecture in the Pueblo Revival or Territorial style for which our wonderful town is known.
Did anyone else see that flag move??? Watch around 8:56 at the flags on either side of the headstone. Watch the flag in the left! Does that look right to you? 😮
The flags definitely move! That’s a very old cemetery and I’m sure there’s lots of energy and lingering spirits that reside there, especially on a historical standpoint. Thanks for watching!
Haha that was the first thing that shocked me! I was thinking it was this far country side place of lore and legend 😂 we drove into manhattan when we were there to pay our respects at the 9/11 memorial and until that point, I’d never been to NYC.
We will definitely do that next time. We’re not very familiar with the trains and subways as we’re from cleveland, but it certainly would have saved us a long journey in traffic haha I’ll definitely remember the tip for next time though!
@@OddityAcres I've lived here my whole life. I've never driven in Midtown Manhattan. Never will. That's the beautiful thing about the New York Metro area. You can get around with limited car usage. The train would've saved you a lot of time, and the ride down is very scenic. Metro North is perhaps the most scenic commuter railroad in the nation. The ride up the Hudson River to Poughkeepsie is very beautiful. Poughkeepsie has the Walkway Over the Hudson, spectacular. I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves!!!
To get there? It depends on where you’re coming from. We were coming from Cleveland Ohio so it was just about 10 hours in total. From there we drove an additional 4 hours to Salam Mass which is definitely worth it if you’re already making the journey!
Some parts of it for sure. I think the misconception is that it’s supposed to be this Halloweentown vibe and it’s actually much like most any other town. We enjoyed it though
