I am taking you around Sleepy Hollow, New York. Famed for being the setting of the Washington Irving tale, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Sleepy Hollow and its neighboring town Tarrytown have a lot to see and do, like real life locations and people depicted in the tale, tours and museums about author Washington Irving, fun Halloween events and more. I am going to show you some of the must see places. Some are available all year round and some during select months. I will also show you a couple of places you can dine when you visit. Sleepy Hollow is a great day trip or weekend trip from New York City, Long Island, Northern & Central New Jersey, Connecticut, and parts of Pennsylvania and even has trains from Grand Central Station.

I remember my family and I going to Sleepy Hollow when I was a kid and it…honestly wasn’t much. At a party recently, they were talking about **POSSIBLY** going back there since I’m older now and that means we can do more 😁 I do hope we can go back there someday

You know what’s so funny, I was taking my daughter down to her theater rehearsals at Tarrytown Music Hall and we noticed someone filming something infront of the Sleepy Hollow sign and I said to her “oh imagine that’s Demi from RU-vid? Bc we know she’s gonna be in the area!” And my daughter was like “oh yeah it’s probably her!” Now I’m thinking it was and we drove right past you 😂

It’s pumpkin sculptures to the max, like carousels 🎠 giant spiderwebs and more! I went to Salem for my bachelorette in 2018 and it was awesome! It’s very far from me tho and things book up really far in advance but maybe next year! But I am in the works of finalizing something very cool and spooky soon!

Great video! Thank you! If you have seen the movie, "Sleepy Hollow", you may remember the signatures at the beginning of the movie and the signatures in the family bible. You will see a signature with the last name of "Philipse". This is the same family that Philipsburg Manor is named after. The family owned many square miles of land north of New York City in what is now Westchester and Putnam counties. A township in Putnam County which contains the villages of Cold Spring, Nelsonville, Garrison and Manitou is called "Philipstown". I was born in Cold Spring and lived in Nelsonville.

I’m so mad at myself. My clip about Blaze was accidentally cut. I love Blaze! We actually go to it and a similar company’s Jack O Lantern event on Long Island cus it’s a lot closer for us. They book out faster in the Hudson valley so definitely get tickets as soon as you can! It’s a must do every year!

We had our car but lots of people Uber around. I would plan and map out what you’re doing first and see what would cost more. Not everything is nearby.
