All together a very fine overview about the show I really like. Me, I have the DVD collection of all seasons and I love all of them It is regrettable that the show did not went on because the reboot of the series did not went well with the hard core fans who felt only bound to Ichabod andAbby.
It is interesting that not so many folks could identify the ROLLING STONES THEME from the album Fourty Licks. The lyric sounds rather odd if you don´t know that it is based on a Fantasy novel by the Russian author Michail Bulgakov. THE MASTER AND MARGARITA It was a satiirical novel about life in Moskow in the Stalin age. In it the Devil visits the Russian metropole to check up how his plan to show God that Man is a mistake works out. Of course, the Rolling Stones have overworked this novel published first in 1940 in a zensored version and then in the Sixties in the West. So it became in the ROLLING STONES version well thought statement to the dangers of the Cold War. I guess that makes things cleares to understand why the producers of SLEEPY HOLLOW had put the song in here. After all the Devil´s Game goes on and he is not shown in the funny way as in LUCIFER.
Not to understand me wrong Orlando Johnes is a fine actor but Miguel Ferrer as the FBI Agent interrogating our hero and sending him to the Asylum, gave a much stronger performance as the Unbelieving Detective in charge. I really was disappointed that he did not kept on after the first episodes.
REACTION TO THE SERIES IN GERMANY: other as some other Supernatural Fantasy Adventure Series SLEEPY HOLLOW did not made much impect in this neck of the woods. I guess the main problem was that it required th much background knowledge of the American History since the War of Indipendance. The younger generation is not really into it. That was decades ago different whe the USA had celebrated the Twohundred Years festival and all the world was interested in it Back then there were even some German authors writing novels about North America in the late 18th century and The War Of Indipendance. But the younger folks have lost interest in those topics.
What I didn't like about the last season for both sleepy hollow and bones is that they never mentioned each other again when crane was in DC where bones characters are at crane never mentioned Booth or bones to his new friends or try to ask booth for information about the new main villain and a lot of supernatural death happened and none of the characters from bones didn't appear when werid deaths happened or none of the characters from bones mentioned that people where dieing werid or got involved I just wish that both shows had explained why none of the characters from both shows never mentioned each other the crossover was a mistake since they never mentioned each other every again
@@NumericReview I never heard of the show before this year but I am binging episodes this month on Disney+ in South Africa. Wish this got more attention especially during the time it aired because nowadays this series would considered "woke".
