I literally grew up listening to y’all ! Y’all are some of the ones that made me and my siblings fall in love with and start learning bluegrass music! Then not long ago I found how close in age I was with y’all and I thought it was so cool!!

Our fam moved to TN from New Jersey but would travel back east to see you guys play Blue Grass!! 💕🤜 🥰🥰🥰

In my much much younger days, me and a truck driver buddy would go around to different folks houses, garages, barns, skating rinks, etc, and we would play. If the person played or sang, they would join in. We once were picking & grinning, a neighbor lady came in and heard us and said, I'll be right back. She did, carrying two beat-up funny looking SPOONS with her. She could make those things talk, just about. We've had folks join in playing a RUB BOARD, Blowing on a jug, and one old man had a board, screwed to the side of a bucket with a piece of leather strap tied from one end of the board to the other. By bending that board back and forwards on that bucket, he could play bass. He called it a "Slap-Bass". We had a good sounding shade-tree band and some fairly good singers. We had a quartet, 3 brothers and a sister, would all come over and get to singing and then they would sing a number and get a swig of liquor and sing another. Once they got soused drunk, then they wanted to sing Gospil songs. Then they sung the gospil songs, putting dirty words in there. I would stop playing, then. I told them you don't blaspheme God. I refused to play, nor even be in the room with them doing that! We had a wild time, fir several years. Our steel guitar player got in bad shape and couldn't play. We eventually grew out of it. It had some bodacious memories!
