I think you would be perfect for writing a soundtrack to a post apocalyptic set game where there are hand made instruments made from scraps and trash found around the waist land. People will never stop wanting music. I think people would enjoy that game. I'm thinking of the Travelers Theme from Outer Wilds where you can hear different parts at different place but all together make a full song.
I had the same thought exactly. I'm currently playing through Horizon Zero Dawn, which is set in a tribal, far-off post-apocalyptic world, and it feels like a perfect fit.
It is actually possible to play a range of about half an octave on normal beer bottles. You have to switch from blowing over both edges to just the rear edge. Then modulate the pitch with the lower lip by covering a larger area of the opening for a lower pitch. For the lowest note you will blow almost vertical.
@@MalucoLapin What makes you think that I made this up? :D And if you take the equation for the resonant frequency of a helmholtz-resonator, you will see that it depends largely on the area of the bottleneck. Changing that will change the solution of the equation
@@MalucoLapin Some harmonics will be the same as in the base note. But if you say so, I probably cheated :P Or maybe I didn't :D You won't find out until you try it
Nicolas, you made me travel with this one!😮 The magnificent sound of that flute soars so elegantly over the muddy bass layers and percussions. I closed my eyes I saw myself flying over the amazonian rainforest like a blue Macau dragon. Wonderful experience! ❤
Bro, you look happier in this video!! excellent production, and the fact that the bottle was tuned already is really nice. the little flute is amazing !! and the drum guitar is really nice too. you make original and nice content. this must be on Spotify. please xd
This was overall just a magnificent episode. I really enjoy your channel, I plan to sign up for your patreon soon, and just was tickled by the Simpsons reference. I knew exactly what you were talking about, and then when you brought back the clips on the outro section, it just added bonus laughs. Great work, my 5 year old daughter and I both really enjoy your work
I'm late to the party, but JUGS! I got taught at a bluegrass festival by some old cats; you can buzz your lips across the thing (like a brass instrument but without a mouthpiece) and the jug just acts as a resonator. I can get a few octaves on mine!
Excellent ! [EXIT]
If you partially block the hole in a bottle with your lower lip and blow softer you will get a deeper tone. So you can play melodies with just a single bottle.
