Since I work alone in my workshop, I need it so much,
which will provide great convenience when lifting heavy loads,
I made an electric and double overhead crane system.
Thank You For Watching
I would be happy if you like, share and subscribe
I am waiting for your support to make better projects.
Thank you to all friends who commented.
This is the first crane I've ever made and of course I have some mistakes. I continue to improve myself. Thank you for your interest…
This is how this project was done due to some limited conditions in my workshop. That's why I couldn't attach a column from the floor and had to hang it from the ceiling. If my work area was a little wider and the ceiling a little higher, it would have done a much better job.
I could not add my work in the attic to the video. I couldn't take a video because the attic was too dark and narrow. I'm sorry for this. Actually, it would be better if I forced the conditions and took a video. I'd appreciate it if you could attribute this to my being a newbie in video business.
In the comments, it was specifically asked how the screws were fastened. I fastened the joists with long screws and nuts in the attic. I used a thick steel plate and washer before the nut. In the technical data of each of these nuts (M14), the yield stress is over 2.5 tons. In other words, the carrying capacity of the screws is much higher than the load I can lift.
The bridge height in the middle is 160mm and the side beams are 140mm in size. The bridge span is 400 cm.
All calculations were made when installing the crane beams and the bridge. In terms of capacity, 1.2 tons is the capacity of the crane machine. Of course, I never lift 1.2 tons because I don't need it. The maximum load I will lift does not exceed 0.5 tons. That's why I'm not worried at all.

OK, sometimes its far too wierd to be right. I have been doing some paper sketches for a sliding crane exactly like this one. I was next to my PC but didn't use it for the design at all. Then I come down to my laptop log on to RU-vid and this comes up as a selection first. This isn't right but its very fortuitous.

I've built many bridge cranes. I wouldn't trust that with .2 ton The load per side support is totally dependent on the nuts your hanging it by, not to even mention the way it's anchored in the concrete. Add up the weight of the trolly beam, trolly, lift motor and side supports. Then think about lifting something on the side of the shop, it will be 98% supported by 1 side support. On the plus side, all that needs to be done to make it safer is add support columns at the ends. Look up the computer program MD Solids, (freeware). It will give you your actual load capacity. But I want to give you a thumbs ups for the effort. Please do not trust this contraption as is, sorry.

I don't know about this one ! It's a good concept , but a couple of red flags stand out ! Like where are those rods going ? Hanging a lot of weight on threads , wall or floor would probably be better for loads . And those small nuts and bolts on the track glider . Just saying !

I was wondering the same then saw he answered in another comment. The ceiling is concrete and he has a large washer and nut up top. Not a fan of it being suspended on threads like that. Probably ok if he keeps weight to 500lbs., wouldn't want to lift a ton or more though. The ends of the fixed sides are free hanging which would make me nervous. Hope it works out for him though.
