You know that an “ever-so-mild” overbite IS actually considered normal! Edge-to-edge biting actually is NOT at all normal. You want your teeth to overlap a LITTLE.
However, TOO MUCH of anything is never a good thing, right?! So when there’s an EXCESS of overlapping going on (the top teeth are reallllllly overlapping the bottom teeth) it creates a condition called: an overbite!

i thought my overbite was slight, but you can see it whenever i close my mouth. i don't touch my lips when i say letters like "b" or "p" or "m". the roof of my mouth touches my bottom lip instead. i have braces though. i hope it helps soon. I've had an overbite since i was a kid.

yeah, so if your top set of teeth are overlapping on your bottom set, that means you have overbite. i have a 100% overbite.

Wish I had a slight overbite. Dentist shouldn't have removed teeth, now I have a sunken smile and a smaller airway.

I have an overbite which isn't too much, but the doctors have suggested removing two upper teeth for me. I've already got my braces on, and I'm going for the teeth extraction tomorrow. I'm actually really scared that I might get a smaller airway or a sunken smile.

Went to the dentist and they said I have a 90% over bite…. I have braces, but my over bite goes down to the bottom of my bracket like not even an inch to my gum :/ imma need rubber bands bro
