Stepped away from the pc world for 4 years and now I am back, thanks for catching me up to date.

I had to use the hack for my Arctic P12 Slim fans to be mounted on the bottom as when mounted via just screws, the fan was hitting the bottom of the case. I slid those rubber grommets through the bottom of the case and threaded the zip ties through that and fastened them there. It worked perfectly. Thank you for all of these informative NR200 videos.

Bought a NR200 because of Machines & More. ALL the information you need, and then some, is right here. I was able to mount my system in a few hours despite NOT touching a PC in over a decade, never done AIO before either... That was one of the ideas I was looking for. Used the first method myself initially, however! Be careful not to push those screws too far as you might damage the mesh grill up top. Your nr200 videos have been so helpful. Used the zip tie method, if anyone’s doing it and doesn’t want to use any of the tooless ssd mounts some rubber washers the same size were only $.33ea at my local hardware store

I did this recently, thanks for the video! I only had larger zip ties on hand but managed to push them through the holes, although I found it easier to pop off the mesh panel.

Using 4 scythe slim fans on my side 480 radiator and running the Arctic slim for my top 360 and am really impressed with the Arctic being a fraction of the cost over the scythe

Amazing, this is exactly what I was looking for! I think I won't go down this route in the end (will probably go with full sized noctuas with more static pressure), but thank you for making this video nonetheless! Slim fans will go to the bottom to feed the GPU instead.

I was just thinking of grinding off a bit from each of the toolless bolt things for the af12x15 fans so suit the depth of the slim fans.

Please make a video about the ATX psu in the NR200, I know a lot of us would find it amazing!

The rods that go into the rubber grommets have two bumps if you cut the end of the rod off at the other bump it's perfect to mount thin fans

This is "fan"tastic. I should have tried tip ties, but I ended up using the stock toolless rods and grommets to fit a slim fan on the top. It fits perfectly in my case above my ATX PSU, even though the rods extend past the fan quite a bit. The PSU's power cable is right up against the fan grille. XP

Interesting, I’m going to try this with the Fuma 2’s slim fan. Use the slim up top, and add a 25mm P12 to the Fuma 2. Curious to see how that works.

Loving the nr200 videos! I've been trying to figure out if a slim fan like this would work with the C14S as your cpu cooler. Have you test fitted that at all?

Was thinking of buying them for my GPU deshroud mod as the current fans I have is the previous iteration of ID-cooling's slim fan, but without the RGB. I'm just thinking if the new fans are worth getting as I wanted to add some flair to my system.

I had a clearance issues as well. Mugen 5 with MSI B550i gaming edge WiFi in the NR200 with 25mm Arctic P12s on top. In my case, removing the fan grills from the mounting pegs (they unscrew), and bending the catch on the Mugen fan clip so it was flush got me just enough clearance. Nevertheless, this is a great guide for someone who may not have selected their top fans yet.

You can use the included rubber HDD mounting grommets

Clevis Pins (4mm X 25mm Flat Head) work great for slim Noctua fans and NR200.

Thanks a lot for all these extensive testing with the nr200, you're saving us a lot of time :) I would like to ask, did you (or anyone esle) tried to mount a CPU tower cooler horizontally (fans up/down instead of left/right) in order to follow the bottom to top airflow ? I'm curious about the performances but it's always annoying to remove thermal paste so if anyone already has a conclusion about it that would be awesome :)

Thanks for the video! I have the regular NR200 with a RTX3070 (a fairly large one with 3 fans). Do you think placing two intake slim fans below the GPU (it's tight) is a good idea or should the GPU fans by itself be enough to suck in the air? (I run a liquid cooler for the CPU (Kraken X52) + one top exhaust fan (stock) + one rear exhaust fan (stock), temps are fine across the board)

Awesome video, noob question: do you think a noctua L9 or L9x65 makes a big impact with the cpu and gpu temps?

Get some automotive acrylic double sided tape and slap that on anywhere you want something to get mounted. It might feel like it will comes off in the beginning, but with time and some moderate heat generated by the system, pulling the fan from the tape will prove to be a challenge. And the thick double sided tape also acts as vibration dampener.

If I were to have a mugen 5 on a gigabyte b550i aorus pro ax, would I just have the one fan on the mugen or would the 92mm fan that comes with the nr200 go on the rear as well? Also should those fan(s) be intaking or exhausting?

Liked & Subbed - top video, brilliant mods, i bought an NR200P from the states as there were none available in the UK but it was well worth it! created my own AIO inside with a 45mm 240 Rad with 2x Rajintek Aeolus Beta's (RGB) and will add the GPU to the loop later so i can have the gpu mounted vertically with the glass panel on. I'm unavailable to do so at the moment as with an open air cooled GPU it just creates a heat trap.

Really liking the NR200P coverage on the channel! If you can id like to see a video of potential ways to fit a top mount rad with slim fans. So far online is only coming up with forum posts with poor documentation and I think a youtube video showing if its possible/the ways to achieve would greatly benefit the community.

Etsy got some pretty interesting mods as well...also they are not that expensive either...maybe you can review some in the future...

What screws do you use to mount the slim noctua fans on top of the nr200?

hey bro, i've got 2 question. Can one of these small fan fit on the other side of your Sycthe Mugen 5 cooler? If it does, does it make the scythe mugen 5 perform better as it is now in a push pull config. Another question is, why is the scythe fan facing inwards? is it because thers no way the hot air can go away if it is set as exhaust?

I ended up taking the mesh off and putting screws in from the top it feels like it will hold just fine but a little worried about it ,maybe I will add a dab of silicone on corners

I would love to see a comparison between the recommended x2 bottom intake + x2 top exhaust with all four NF-A12x25 PWM fans versus all four NF-A12x15-PWM fans.

Guys I just found a listing for some new Artic P12 15mm (Slim), 120mm fans. They are all black and released on the 15th of January. I pre-ordered 2 of them at £10.99 per fan. I trust they will be great value. Just a heads up as I don't think many know about them.

Will bottom fan disrupt/foul the airflow to GPU because of different fans size and speed?

A potential video idea would be to make a best value build that would suit mid range budget systems where every buck towards that GPU helps. My system is a good example Ryzen 5 2600 with stock fan and GTX1660 Super in a NR200. So where best to spend money with cooling - if any?

So I'm thinking I messed up. I purchased the NR200 based on your great reviews. But, I also bought a be quiet dark rock tf cooler. My plan was to have 2x120mm fans at the top and a 92mm fan on the side. It looks like that's not at all possible with my current setup. Running an asus z370i mb.

You can also 3d print smaller pins

just un-clip the mesh top and screw the fans the usual way. It is not something you change everyday so I don't mind the extra trouble, and it is super secure :)

Hello, very good videos. Is there any chance to have a 120mm radiator above the psu?

I'm going to get one of these cases. But I really don't wsnt to downgrade my pump that I have in my current case. Do you reckon you could figure out a way to get a d5 FLT pump res combo to fit in that case with 1 radiator and gpu and cpu blocks? I am going to do 2 external 360mm radiators so colling isn't an issue just don't want the pump outside the case.

Important info. You will have mugen 5 clearance issues with the top fan if you use the GIGABYTE Aorus Pro AX, as the CPU socket sits quite high in the MB. If you use ASUS B550 I GAMING then you wont have issues, as the CPU socket sits lower.

Another way to remove zipties, if you want to preserve them, is to poke a pin in-between the locking mechanism and the excess plastic

So the NR200 comes with fan extension and it has one cable that is colored which I am guessing is for RPM reading? Can you tell me which fan you have connected to that? The bottom fans?

Are slim 120mm fans a bad idea as an bottom intake? I was planning on using two a12x25's on the top and two a12x15's on the bottom with a 3080 FE, but heard the temps are better when using static pressure optimised fans, which the a12x15's don't seem to be. So there's the question, is it better to have thicker fans, closer to the gpu or slimmer fans, i'm asking in case there could be some sort of turbulence caused by the fans being so close to the gpu and so on.

before I go buying slim fans, can anyone confirm these will fit with SFX-L PSU?

I bought a prebuilt PC from ebay and although it was a really good deal the surprise came when I started to upgrade the prebuilt PC.First of all I never knew that I could learn to hate small cases,the case that the prebuilt PC came in is terrible in that it is very hard to get in and out of the case.Small cases have their place and purpose but for the life of me I cannot understand why anyone building a high end PC would opt to use a small PC case.Even the mid tower cases are difficult for me to navigate in because I have big thick hands and what's more small and mid tower cases have a nasty tendency to obstruct air flow on top of being very difficult to get in and out of.Even owning a blower to dust out the PC case is no guarantee of cleaning small and mid PC cases properly because sooner or later it will get to a point where it will become necessary to take the cooling fans out and clean the cooling fans and the inside of the PC case thoroughly in order to get the cooling fans and the inside of the PC case as clean as the inside of the PC case should be.Dust filters are a great help in keeping dust out of PCs but even with the dust filters it is often necessary to clean out the cooling fans and the PC case at some point in time.Call me a snob but I will not ever again bother with any small or mid size PC case.The PC case in the above video looks to me like it's being choked of the necessary air needed to keep the PC components cool,I could be wrong but I doubt it and what's more it should never be necessary to bend any part of a PC case or alter any PC component to make things fit.If you're going to spend so much money on quality PC parts it seems foolish to use a small or mid PC case where you will need to force things to fit.Thank you for the video,God bless you and your family.I'm a licensed firearms owner and I get annoyed hearing people talk about this or that part makes a firearm heavier,hell,in the middle of an emergency where a person is forced to use his/her firearm do you think it's going to make any difference if a firearm part is a bit heavier when the person's adrenaline level is so high and the person is so worked up having to face one or several home invaders?"Oh,I don't like this/I don't like that.",what in the hell have we as Americans become,a bunch of limp wrist pansies?Do you think criminals or home invaders are going to stop in their tracks and admire your firearm being lighter than their firearm?I understand about space constraints but if you can make space for your big screen TV there is no reason why you can't make space for a PC case that will properly accomodate and fit the PC components without denying the PC components adequate airflow.If spending $500.00,$600.00 or more on a graphics card just to cram the graphics card into a tiny PC case where the graphics card will be denied the airflow that the graphics card needs in order to function properly isn't the epitome of stupidity then I don't know what is.Look at how extremely cramped that graphics card and the other PC components are in that tiny ass PC case,are you kidding me?You're joking,right?"Oh,my tiny PC case looks so cool." when the reality is that your tiny ass PC case is on the verge of catching fire and burning your house down because that tiny ass PC case is forcing the PC components to run much hotter than the PC components should be running from lack of proper air ventilation.You can abuse and berate me all you want but you will never catch me spending so much money on a graphics card or on any high dollar PC component just to cram it into a tiny ass PC case like that and risk losing my money.From what I have read PC components are designed to work andinstalled a certain way.Unlike many people I do not suffer from the bad habit of not reading instructions and I have yet to read instructions where PC component manufacturers say that it's okay to cram PC components into tiny cases where the PC components will never get enough air flow.I registered my new Gigabyte aorus b550 ac wifi motherboard for the warranty and I was asked all kinds of questions including the product number of my amd ryzen 3600x cpu,which cpu cooler I am using,the brand and output wattage of my new power supply,the brand and amount of memory that I am using and yes,even the brand and model number of the PC case that I am using,coincidence?I seriously doubt it.
